If I could rate in categories, food would get 5 stars, service would get 2.5 and cleanliness of restaurant would also get 2.5. Last time we came here, we heard three different people ask for napkins, including us. The lady at the front said, we will bring some out, and she never did. Neither time I felt welcome or that the cashier enjoyed her job. The place looked pretty dirty the last two times also. I understand it’s an old buiding, but lots of dirty tables and the floors never look clean. Now for the food! The El pastor tacos are wonderful. They NEVER disappoint. Every single time we get them, they are delicious, so we love the consistency. We enjoy getting them to go.

Tacos are tasty and the service is quick and very friendly. The salsa bar is well-stocked. My large group loved all that we ordered, including the horchata drinks…

This is the best authentic Mexican food we’ve found in all of Utah!!! Sooooo yummy! My hubby has had a craving for carne asada fries since we moved from Southern California. He said they were just like from a taco truck down south. I had chips & guac & street tacos, and they did not disappoint! We will definitely be back soon!

This place is certainly no frills but it’s also the best Mexican I’ve had since moving from Arizona. They have a great selection of meats for things like tacos and tostadas. Their salsa bar is really good as well. This particular location feels bigger and more open than the strip mall one farther north, so I prefer coming here and will be back often!

Good food, nice people. We had the carne asada tacos. I would have given them 5 stars, but they don’t sell beer.

Pretty good. Food is good quality and they offer good condiments including fresh beans. Worth it if your looking for a quick bite and your this way of the freeway.

The Carne asada tacos are very tasty. I had the cinnamon horchata. The condiment bar is very clean and has fresh food.

I’m a visitor to st. George so I’m eating out based on Unilocal reviews. This place was marginal. I wouldn’t agree with the other reviews. The service was unfriendly and the girl at the front completely ignored me and continued her phone conversation instead of helping me. The food was good, not great. I really expected better based on the reviews. Price was good.

It’s our new favorite go to place for Mexican food while in southern Utah. We’ve yet to find a dish that we didn’t like.

I would never come here again. We came in at 1040, before close and the guy rolled his eyes and sighed because we came in. He did this right in front of us. I mean how immature can you be. It was so rude and I was embarrassed for him and this taco shop. We turned around and walked right out.

Being from the San Diego area I have pretty high standards for Mexican food and moving to Utah was a little scared. This place restores my hope and is on par with some of my favorite places in San Diego. Prices are good and food is amazing I’ll defiantly be back!

In order for me to be honest I need to say that I only eat 2 things at this restaurant. The Al Pastor tacos and they will make Al Pastor nachos if you ask nicely. As long as I stick to those two things everything is great. My kids love the tacos and on Thursdays I can feed the whole family for about 12 bucks.

Not really digging this place. Tacos were ok but really greasy. The beans were bland, and the salsa bar was not tended too. No Cilantro for me :(. My biggest gripe is that the place smelled like a gas station restroom. I almost didn’t eat my food, because I was getting nauseated by the stench of urinal cakes, and dookie.

Nothing huge to rave about. Seems like any ordinary Mexican restaurant. I ordered a quesidilla with Al pastor and it came with a little container of watery sour cream, and fresh chopped tomato salsa. The entire quesidilla was quite oily. I understand pastor is generally oily, but this seemed excessively so. We also ordered salsa and chips, and the salsa was the most salty salsa I have ever had. I’m glad we took little containers of the other salsas(on the side for tacos), or else the(somewhat fresh) chips would’ve gone to waste.

We got the chicken burritos and the ceviche. The chicken burritos were good but particularly greasy for it being grilled chicken. I wondered if they cooked it in pork juice or something. The most disconcerting thing was seeing the head of a cockroach outside the bathroom door. I know st george has a lot of cockroaches but it’s still nasty.

The Unilocal reviews and rating made this place look promising, but we pretty much regretted our visit. We got the carne asada tacos, fish tacos and the carne asada fries, which seemed to be their answer to nachos. I really couldn’t recommend any of those items, in particular, the fries which we were told were a signature dish. We would have preferred just regular tortilla chips instead of the fries. We tried the place, it wasn’t great, and looks like we won’t be going back.

The fish tacos are the best, bitesizd crispy breaded fish with light garnish of shredded cabbage and diced tomato salsa, stuffed into two fantastic but small tortillas that taste like none other, very light. The Carne asada fries is a large dish of fries covered with excellently seasoned Carne asada, and generous mounds of sour cream, guacamole, salsa and jalapeños. Delicious! Service is cheerful and quick at least on this Saturday evening about 9pm.

I’ve tried a lot of Mexican food around Utah and while I have found some decent places this one is the best of them all. They have raised there prices slightly since my last visit but everything is still super cheap and the food is all quality. The tacos this last time were only $ 1.59 each. They are small like street tacos and 5 – 6 usually fills me up good. They have a complimentary salsa bar and containers to take salsas and veggies to go. The inside is clean and as a good amount of tables. Call or ask on your next visit because sometimes they have specials on the al pastor. Everything is made fresh to order but you don’t have to wait to long for your order. With all of the option on this street alone for Mexican food this is the place to stop.

I have eaten at their other location and really liked the food, so when I passed down Bluff and saw this location minus the«El» in its name, I figured we should give this one a try for lunch. Walking in we were greeted and given time to look over the menu. The menu here is the same as their other location, but if they have half price Al Pastor Tacos on Tuesdays, they didn’t have a sign posted the the other one does. The inside here is spacious with a good amount of tables. They have a free salsa and veggie bar and the green sauce is really good! Al Pastor Mulitas($ 1.79) — The al pastor here tastes very good! It’s on a spit and carved to order. The mulitas are my absolute favorite thing here. They don’t skimp on the cheese and the price is very fair. You can choose from any of the meats they offer. Chicken Taco($ 1.35) — The chicken was grilled fresh and had a nice flavor. The tacos come just meat and tortilla and then you can add whatever salsas and veggies from the bar you want. Carne Asada Taco($ 1.35) — The meat was tender and tasted great. I really enjoyed this taco and would order it again. They do give free grilled peppers and onions with your order and they paired nicely with this taco. I’m a huge fan of this place and will be back when in the area for sure. They also have burritos, quesadillas(they are huge!), tortas and freshly made guacamole. The types of meats they offer are al pastor, chicken, carne asada, chorizo, cabeza, lengua, buche and tripa. They have something for everyone. One thing I did notice was that it was pretty warm inside. I don’t know if they were having A/C issues, but we did eat inside and it would have been more comfortable is it was cooler. Good thing the food was worth it!

This is by far, the best place I’ve eaten at in the entire city of St. George. Ordered a carne asada burrito and a carne asada taco. First off, the workers there are so friendly and courteous. How refreshing. Taco — was perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. Burrito — same as the taco, but they add their hottest salsa. Word of advice, if you don’t like spicy food, ask them to not add any salsa. Chips and guacamole — fresh guacamole. Seasoned perfectly, and just a hint of lemon. Jamaica & horchata, so excited to finally find a place in this town that has these traditional drinks.
