First and foremost, Robert, the manager on duty during my entire stay was amazing. He was friendly, personable, super patient and very accommodating. He was practically on duty during my entire weekend stay and it had me wondering if he ever left?! Thank you Robert for all that you did for us. Now the hotel itself and can desperately use some upkeep. It was not the worst hotel I have ever been in but it needed some TLC. The hallways needed new carpeting, but even just vacuuming would do them wonders. The room that myself, mom and sister were in was clean, the beds were comfortable, but had a weird smell. Almost as if it was damp in the room but we could not quite but our fingers on it. The mirrors needed some wiping off, the floor could have been vacuumed a little better, but all in all, not horrible. At least it was quiet on our side of the hotel as the original room were going to stay in was near where the pool was and there were a few kids running up and down the hallway. You could hear people in morning during the breakfast down in the lobby but again, it was not horrible. They did have a waffle maker, which was nice as long as their was some waffle batter available. The biscuits and gravy was ok(per my sister) and the little muffins were good as was the offering of hot coffee and orange juice. Cereal, yogurt and hard boiled eggs were also offered as well. I do believe that with some TLC, Americas Best Value Inn could turn into a really decent hotel in that corridor. I would stay here again just because of the hospitality that Robert provided.(PS That man needs a vacation stat)

Room wasn’t bad. Lots of construction noise. An(in-training?) female employee and what I can only assume a male manager were chilling in the elevator unmoving(we waited 2 – 3 minutes for the elevator until I knocked on it and it opened– they had been on that floor holding door close to ten minutes before checkout ends) they got out first, accidentally smacking my luggage to the ground, and saying sorry over their shoulder while walking away. Just one, though. The MANAGER kind of pretended we didn’t exist, walking past us without a word and ignoring our luggage that they spilled on the ground. We fucking stayed here! I don’t expect concierge from a motel but it’s not like it’s rare for people to help you pick up stuff, even stuff that isn’t their fault. Maybe I’m just used to people treating other people like fellow humans? The morning checkout staff also treated us like we were interrupting her by checking out. At checkout time. Okay. They also don’t enforce no smoking so if you have asthma or anything else you should look elsewhere. Nice aroma of cigarettes in our non-smoking room and the entirety of the hallway. Glad I’ll never have to stay here again. Helpful tip, @hotel, assist people who you knock into and spill their luggage. Don’t speed walk away. Wtf?

This venue is okay. The room itself was very clean and comfortable, yet the walls are super paper-thin. I am not exaggerating about this. Although there is nothing the staff and management can do about this, just be prepared to hear everything your neighbor says and does at any given time. This may require some patience. The breakfast is pretty decent. You’ll have your choices in waffles, yet not too many other options when it comes to fruits. The one good thing about this America’s Best Value Inn is that you have a kitchenette and fridge within the room, of which you can bring your food and prepare it. This is highly recommended. This venue is conveniently located in an area where there are several restaurants and fast food places(as well as car dealerships), yet I would still bring my own food. The internet at this venue is also quite good. Other than the walls being super-thin, this America’s Best Value Inn is okay.

Hmmm. Where to start? We’ll start with the positives: Check in clerk was very helpful and friendly, especially since the systems were down due to a power outage nearby. Free internet. Clean lobby. Okay, now that we’re finished with THAT… I booked this hotel because of the location as well as the price was the cheapest that I could find at that date.($ 80) WAAAAAAAY overpriced. I’ve stayed at this chain before, but not at this location. I’ve been in a Motel 6 or a Super 8 that seemed cleaner and safer(and cheaper). My room was dark, and since it was halfway underground, and ‘overlooked’(underlooked??) the pool, that didn’t help the light. And heaven forbid you want much light in your room at night. I didn’t like that when I opened my windows, all the pool people were RIGHTTHERE. The bed was VERY firm, which didn’t bother me personally, since I was super tired; however, I couldn’t get to sleep because of the paper thin walls and loud neighbors next door; their TV and their conversation going to after 4AM made it tough. Plus, when I called the front desk, once from my room phone, and then again from my cell phone in case the phones in the room weren’t working correctly, there was NOANSWER. When I finally reached someone 30 minutes later, the night was almost lost to me. The carpets weren’t vacuumed completely and while it didn’t look DIRTY, it sure didn’t feel clean. Of course, I almost expected the burned out light bulbs by then. That didn’t help the dark room either. The owner was less than friendly when I nicely mentioned a few of these things upon check-out. I wasn’t ASKING for anything; I was just mentioning it to her. I didn’t expect a discount or a free room. I did it after I had checked out, so it was clear I didn’t want a refund.

Next door to this hotel, there is a Motel Six. If you book ABV in advance, the Motel Six is $ 10 cheaper. Pay the $ 10. The walls are thin, the bathroom smelled like smoke, but it was inexpensive and functional.
