Smoking bar… UGH Service was slow and the food was mediocre at best. There are SO many good bars & restaurants in the area, this is not one of them.

Wanted to check it out since Bar Rescue was recently here. Alas, at 1:30 on a Saturday afternoon the place was closed. And of course, you can’t tell from the outside whether they’re open or not so you have to park and get out to try the door. Ugh.

Stopped in tonight for a few beers. Bartender, Brittany, was super friendly. She was always right there with a refill as soon as I needed it. Can’t wait to come back and try the food! I recommend everyone try this place out! Don’t let bad reviews intimidate you!!!

Management canceled a band I had been looking forward to seeing the night they were scheduled to play. No prior notice to patrons. I talked to the band later and was told that the management only told them of the cancelation when they showed up. Very rude about the entire situation. The workers’ attitude made me want to leave so I couldn’t even patronize the service or drinks.

I went here since a friend was having a big party at the bar. The party was fun and the DJ played good music. Getting service at the bar was like pulling teeth. The bartender admitted she was«spacing out» when I stood there for a couple of minutes just watching her. It was not busy at all on a Saturday night. Mixed drinks were $ 5 and served in paper cups. I thought really? There is a small lot adjacent to the bar and parking in the street in front. I would go back if meeting friends but I would not go out of my way to return. They need to step it up. Word is they always have a new bartender and the turnover is high. The other reason for two stars is it is a smoking bar. So I came home reeking of cigarette smoke. :-(

Co-worker & I took a stroll down to City Bistro for some after work drinks & dinner. The place is contemporary looking and was clean. After some cocktails we ordered some food. I ordered the roast beef and my friend ordered a salad. The salad looked good and she said it was very good. I ordered roast beef sandwich which was pretty moist. Our waitress Tiffany was pleasant and very attentive to our needs. I would definitely return here. Our total bill was $ 33.56 but I used my Taste Cards & got $ 10 back! :) Only reason I’m giving them 4 star is because parking somewhat sucks.

WAY Overpriced. With so many popular, reasonably priced city bars, I dont think we will be back, sorry.

Today me and one of my close friends went here on a whim after leaving the landing! We hoped on Groupon and picked a place near by. So blindly we go there not knowing at all what they serve! We google a review they say try the pork wings… naturally we are like what the heck is that?! Well we got them AMAZING! its only two so I would recommend sharing it with someone as an appetizer or get a side! We also go wings and the inside out cheddar burger we split everything half and half and the food was soo good! Very fresh and juicy! All their meat was tender and seasoned well. Tammy was a great server and Jack the manager was such a sweet heart as well! I would totally recommend this place to everyone and will be going back! Try it out :)

Every other Thursday, my friend Nate D. and myself seek out a new dive bar. Yesterday was our opportunity to check a place out that we’ve driven by numerous times. Cit Bistro is located in a pretty sketchy section of Gravios near Jefferson. There’s a parking lot along the side of the building but there are no lights on the lot. I’d opt for street parking in front of the building if its available. Inside this place is new, and very well appointed. Someone put some some serious money into the place. The walls are adorned with dark wood wains coating and framed art. The floor is a brand new installation of quality tile. One section of the large room included a white tablecloth dining room… although nobody was there. All of this just down the street from an intersection where you can get a hair weave, a pager, and your check cashed. This place has some serious potential, but the handful of guys in the place were all around the bar… and it was clear why. The bartender definitely demanded attention by her outfit. Not a far cry from some of the Soulard bars down the street. After adjusting our eye levels, we realized she was also really cool. We made our spot towards the end of the bar by the Golden Tee machine and ordered some grub and drinks. The food here is very good. They have these things called pork wings. They taste like pulled pork and are fall off the bone good. I love tater tots and it came with a side of those. We also tried the buffalo ravioli. They were good, but not a spicy as I was expecting. A couple of things they might want to improve. The bar has no bottom rail for your feet. This seems non-important but I kept pawing at it thinking it would be there. Also, the table and register behnind the bar cheapens the place. Invest in something that better matches the upscale feel that you have everywhere else. We came sober and hungry… left drunk and full. We’ll be back for good food, in this cool environment… and definitely to meet one of our new fav bartenders Dani. Side note… If you’re looking to host a party, they have a really cool private room with its own bar, TV, jukebox and tables. It’s not that big… probably fits about 25 comfortably, but it’s really nice.
