wow! i am so glad i got to discover collective at mx through our recent Unilocal event. this boutique is part consignment and has loads of unique designer and local buys. the jewelry is to die for. i managed to snag some brand new designer jeans that were about 70% less than the original price. needless to say i’m a fan!

A cute, whimsical boutique featuring a variety of local artisans. You can definitely find a unique, thoughtful, individual-specific gift here. They seem to have a distinct aesthetic to their collections, part Rag and Bone, part Madewell, part Goodwill. They have some stunning jewelry collections, and from what I can see, of high quality. If you are lucky, one particular collection may be on sale. The store is spacious, which makes the entire experience very pleasant. The people who work here are helpful, and generally leave you alone while browsing, which is a definite plus. I think I asked to see /try on something like 6 pieces of jewelry, and the girl made it totally comfortable. A fun visit if you are in the area.

«Collective MX radiates with metropolitan energy.» Yes, but then again, so does the Goodwill. I think Collective MX radiates the energy St. Louis wishes it had. This boho-chic, locally made, elusive designer, size 6 is plus size, limited edition, this old thing? vibe. It’s like the good part of a farmer’s market where people are selling cool shit instead of vegetables, except it’s downtown, in a «space», and priced up. I get it, but I don’t get it. When we came, there was just one person working. Each«booth» was unmanned, but we wandered around, pretty much ignored, except for the obligatory«you aren’t stealing anything, are you?» glances. They had some cute shit. Very Etsy meets Barneys. They definitely have the cold shoulder, designer boutique thing going on. This is definitely not my kind of place, but I would check it out again if I were in the area. This whole MX thing is losing me, though. Just. Don’t. Get it.

I cannot believe it took me this long to get my butt over to Collective. I had been eagerly anticipating their opening back late last year… but was out of town during the opening and just never got around to checking it out until last week. Like others have said, it’s a retail co-op boutique with about 40+ St. Louis vendors. Some you’ll immediately recognize like STL Style and Kakao and Ivy Hill… and some are more obscure… like Redposie who makes milk paint(paint that can be as thin or as thick as you want it to be) or Lori Coulter who makes made-to-order swimwear. Regardless of the vendor, everything is so carefully cultivated, and I hope it stays that way. For example, a not-so-quick browse of the rack from Women’s Closet Exchange showed resale clothing from Kate Spade to Theory to Vera Wang… all priced under $ 100. There is something for everyone. And there are St. Louis vendors that I’ve never heard of who have some pretty neat stuff showcased. I think this could totally change the shopping scene… and chances are that they’ve already started to with events like the Luxury Garage Sale that they had today with brands like Chanel and Monica Lhuillier and Prada. How about warehouse sales too?! Please? I hear that they might be even opening up a second location later this year. The only downside is that they don’t validate parking at the garage… and I really hate meter parking… I never know how long I’m going to be shopping.

Such a great retail experience for me! This place has something for everyone on your shopping list! There are a number of different vendors form the STL area who rent out space in order to sell their items. You can find candles, clothing, lotions, soaps, shoes, etc from the Collective in 1 visit. The sales associates are always friendly and willing to help out when needed. I love this downtown location since it has a few of my favorite shops located just feet from one another. I will continue to shop here when I need gifts for friends or whenever I need some retail therapy of my own!

This is hands-down the coolest shopping destination downtown. It’s a co-op boutique, so there’s a wide variety of merchandise from a number of different vendors. I think the greatest thing about this place is that you can find everything from antiques, to candles, to shoes, to men’s/women’s clothing, and everything in between. The price range varies as well, so there is something for everyone! I made my first purchase today, a trendy Stl poster, and I will definitely be back soon!

Can I just say that this place is so amazing, that I want to spend every paycheck here(like my past two!). As a downtown resident, this is what I have been waiting for. Amazing vibe, knowledgeable, friendly staff and an awesome way to show local love. If you want to find a showstopping outfit for your weekend party, buy some candles, T-shirts or even a mom looking for some cute clothes for your kiddos, please come check it out. You will not be disappointed. Nicole has done a great job making this space truly unique.

a great retail experience. we have a small space for twigs &MOSS merchandise at the collective, so I’m somewhat familiar with the space. I can tell you that the owners and staff work very hard in finding great vendors and unique items to fill the shop. every time I go in there to drop off new things, there’s always something there that make me forget that I’m there to sell and not to buy! a great shopping addition to St. Louis! check it out for yourself.

I can not believe it, no one has written a review for this great co-op boutique. I was here for a Halloween party before their opening and just now got back to actually shop. I am now remorseful for not returning sooner. There are about 40+ vendors offering all sorts of goodies. Ranging from clothing for women and men, to hand made soaps, posters, candies, candles and so much more. One vendor offers some very creative and tasteful stationary. I’m a sucker for note cards and thank you cards. Next time you are downtown, make it a point to stop by and shop this«Collective» boutique. Chances are you will find something to your liking. I did. I love my new poster/map that shows all the neighborhoods in Saint Louis. Now I know where all the Unilocal Dukedoms are located. Also, the Milk Chocolate Triple Dipped Malt Balls from, Oh Lolli Lolli melted in my mouth. Yes I am dieting, but I can still have a treat and these malt balls were truly a treat.
