This was my first time at this location. It’s stationed between my home and my job, so it’s perfect for when I need to quickly pick up something; it won’t be out of the way. This store is stationed at the corner of 7th and Russell, right in Kosciusko neighborhood — edge of Soulard. Whoever thought to place a discount store in this location was smart. It shares the same lot as Bread Co. and is surrounded by factories and trucking companies. Genius. There will be a lot of traffic. Sadly, my infactuation was short-lived on account of what it looked like, inside. Let me just say, the outside is very clean. There was no trash on the lot and its paved nicely. No bumps, dips or potholes. I can’t say the same for indoors… It’s very much of a disarray on the inside. I don’t know about yall, but as a consumer, a messy store leaves a bad impression and little to desire. It makes you not want to browse. Boxes are left in the aisles, shelves are naked and product is out of order. Presentation is so off. One of the cashiers were too busy flirting that she didn’t acknowledge the patrons coming in. Girl, you’re on the clock, have some water and get it together, lol. I believe they’re hiring, so hopefully management can get more ppl in and shift some things around. Especially priorites. Improvements are needed, here.

This Dollar Tree has a tendency to be rather busy a lot, and it’s kinda in a disarray sometimes because they have to restock shelves. It seemed like that was going on last time I was there, but instead of just leaving things where they are, they take their empty boxes and stuff off of the floor so it won’t look trashy. If it looks like they have boxes laying around, there is always someone there stocking the shelves nearby. Otherwise, it’s a nice, and well organized store that has all the same type of merchandise that one would expect in a Dollar Tree store. It’s not perfect, but it’s a hell of a lot better than that trashy Maplewood store.

Dollar Tree is located at the corner of Russell and 7th next to St. Louis Bread Co in Soulard. It’s a true dollar store in that nothing is over a dollar. They stock everything from wine glasses and candle holders to party supplies, school supplies, some food, toiletries, cleaning supplies, storage containers, and over the counter medication. They have a large parking lot. So it’s very easy to get in and out quickly and compared to many dollar stores, it’s tidy and well organized.
