Great sandwiches! The Sun Dried Tomato bread is AMAZING. You can definitely tell that it’s baked fresh daily. The staff was super friendly and the service was quick. The only reason I knocked off one star is because I wish the sandwiches were just a tintsy big bigger for the price. I love that they’re open on Sunday’s!

Wow, these people(or is it Elaine herself? Is she a real person? Is Elaine the new Messiah?) know how to create a sandwich. I had the Lainey, the man across from me has the Trashed Byrd. We split them because they were both so good. The Lainey dripped with perfectly seasoned chipotle sauce. The bread has a perfect texture to compliment the tuna salad. It was a memorable experience eating this sandwich. The Trashed Byrd is an experience similar to that time you met that bald guy at Whiskey Ring who is about 6’6 and 300lbs with neck tats and a foot long beard and always seems like he’s cursing at someone from afar, but once you get to know him, you find he’s really nice and has a smart, complex mind and he’s willing to share his funny stories about how he was a really late bloomer in high school. 5 stars.

Neat little sandwich shop open late, which is awesome. The employee on duty was very nice and had great suggestions. I went with the Joey Boy. The slaw is crisp and the chipotle sauce is distinct and delicious. I love supporting local business. For 7 dollars, it was a great sandwich.

Very tasty sandwiches outside the St. Louis norm, and very nice service. I concur with the other reviewers on the bread though. It’s really good bread, but very dense and not really suitable in thick sub roll form. If it was thinner sandwich bread, it would be 5 stars. The prices are also slightly steep.

Good sandwich(I had the Byrd plus bacon), though I have to agree with Brett C on two things: the price is a little high, and the bread is a little too thick, or just too heavy. My sandwich was toasted, but the bread wasn’t really hot all the way through, just the outside was warm. If the bread were a little less dense, you could appreciate the other flavors more.

Stellar! Elaine herself was there with great recommendations. I had the Byrd and my wife had a classic turkey sandwich. Both were out of this world!

Staff is super friendly and helpful. You can pretty much customize a sandwich and have whatever you want. The blackberry chipotle BBQ sauce is awesome on a tuna sandwich, just saying. Bread is a little dense, but it’s still great. I think the Rye is my favorite. Also, get a cookie.

A must try! Get a cookie, they are made by the local bakery down the street. And you can’t go wrong with the Joey Boy, with local meats and fresh veggies, lightly toasted.

Great quick sandwich spot. Employees are super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. I had the special, the Answer. Turkey, ham sausage, havarti, spicy blackberry sauce with tomato, cabbage and carrots and jalapenos on onion dill bread — it was delicious. Everything tasted super fresh and the shredded cabbage is a nice crunchy topper as an alternative to lettuce. The bread tasted great, although it might have been a little too much bread. Almost couldn’t fit my mouth around and took a little bit away from the sandwich to me. All in all, will be back again soon. I do think it gets a bit pricey though. I can’t usually justify spending over $ 10 on a sandwich for lunch without a side or anything.
