This party is the jam. St. Louis went all out and was super prudent with traffic planning. Unbelievable how many popular artists are on the bill for two stages and 3 days — free. The fireworks have been amazing. I love me some St. Louis and ‘Merica.

2.5 days of great music, performances, and firework shows for FREE! What’s not to like? I recently moved to St. Louis from LA, and I was afraid that it would take me a while to adjust to the new environment, but I ended up liking St. Louis sooner than I thought! Thanks to the fair, I realized what a great community I am now a part of. This year, the fair was at Forest Park instead of the Arch. Although I can’t say which location is better(this is my first fair), I thought Forest Park was a great choice(it’s also super close to where I live). Despite being at a new venue, entry into the fair was pain-free, and everything seemed organized and planned well. Prepare to do some walking from the nearest metro and get your bags checked at the security checkpoints(they don’t allow liquid bottles inside). Also, I highly recommend to come early to get a spot at the main stage because it gets really crowded. I personally enjoyed the firework shows(every day at 10pm) and the musical acts that performed on the main stage. The firework shows were impressive and entertaining as they were choreographed with the background music. Bonnie Raitt, Capital Cities, and the Fray were just plain AWESOME. I look forward to the fair next year!
