Very disappointed because I go here every year for my birthday with my family. Decided to go with a girlfriend around 1:29am on my birthday, Dec 24th. My girlfriend and I are 25 year old young professional African American women.(we look like we’re still in high school) Only two tables were sat. We waited over 30 minutes questioning Letha why two people can’t be seated when so many tables were available. After 35 minutes we decided to seat ourselves. The manager Ryan was a complete ass. He was rude from the beginning. The table behind us was a party of six white people picked up on the rudeness and stated he was racially profiling against my friend and I. I told him I am not a child like most of the young African American kids in there and I will not be treated as such. And that he was racially profiling. Because I said that he said«since you want to play the race card I have the right to refuse service. Please leave» I have gone to that IHOP for 20+ years. I no longer live in STL but it is still a family tradition to go there for my birthday. Because I went at a different time of day, and was not with my parents the service was something I would never wish on anyone. I used to be a server and understand the profiling thinking your not going to get a tip from young kids etc. But a restaurant is a customer service business. Everyone should be treated fairly. I am sad to say my family, friends, and I will no longer go to this location anymore. As a supervisor myself, I’m Very disappointed that Ryan is the manager. He lacks people skills and is running that place straight to the ground. –sincerely a broken hearted ex customer

In general, there are a few downsides: the 2 seater tables are WAY too small. So small, they can’t even put the 4 syrup dispenser on the table. always a wait on weekends, to be expected if you come during peak hours. But this time, we came in, today, a Saturday at 10:30. Obviously, there’s a wait, 20 – 25 minutes said the manager. No prob. The problem came, when, after 20 minutes, I went to ask how much longer, oh, you’re next, says the manager. We see sets of 2 people leave, and go back in, same response, oh, you’re next. Then, they call so and so, party of 2… Definitely not us, and those people came in after us. Weird… As they call that party, I go up to the same manager who said I was next. Blank stare… you said we were next, but then called someone else, what happened? No response. Then she decided to seat us. Actually, the entire reason I came was that it is my bday and I had a coupon. Oh, you have to print out the coupon, we can’t take it through email. OK… but it’s just a code, there’s no scanner. At this point, it’s 40 minutes, and our poor server obviously has too many tables. We’ve been sitting for 10 minutes and she hasn’t come to take our order, and then got the drink order wrong… We usually see Navilla when we come in, she wasn’t our server(unfortunately), but she was on top of things. We asked if we could switch to a decent table, big enough for our food. We had 3 plates, and the tiny 2 seater didn’t even have enough space for our food. Navilla switched us over, and took care of us, our poor server forgot about us, I think. Long story short, the only thing good about this was Navilla, and the fact that the kitchen is super quick once they get your order, the food’s out pretty soon. The manager lied to us about how long the wait was, skipped over us, and the server’s are overworked. This IHOP’s on my HELLNO list, take it for what it is.

The nite manager seems to have attitude towards African-American customers. Was eating with a couple of friends and we watched her talk down like she was babysitting youngsters. If she doesn’t like her job then she should quit

Always enjoy this place. It is a small location, but convenient. Service is top notch and if we have to wait, it is worth it. We will be back.

I usually like to have my sunday breakfast no place else than Ihop. But this location sucks big time. They have very hard time managing larger crowds, food is ok, ambience is so noisy and too much congested. I wouldnt recommend this place

Always can count on IHOP for a good hearty bfkt. This is a smaller restaurant so the lines can get long.

Called in my order for breakfast to pick it up(I’ve done this at other locations but first time here). I was told ten minutes but when I showed up nearly 20 minutes later it wasn’t ready.

IHOP is one of my favorites, and this location is pretty darn good! Two things, though. One, the parking is hideous! Tiny lot, no room. Had to walk a half block. No big deal for me, but my daughter in law was pregnant with twins at the time… It was a bit hard for her. Second, the layout of this place is truly weird, not what I’m used to. Other than that, we had a stellar experience. Our server would probably have been better suited to a higher caliber establishment, that’s how stellar she was. Of course, the food was good, I’d return the next time I’m in the area with a hankering for some pancakes.

I have eaten at this particular IHOP location several times, usually when I take a childhood friend to his dentist because he has to take a sedative before the dentist. Yes, some people are actually afraid of going to the dentist. I have never been served bad food here. It’s always and consistently good regardless of what I order. The service has always been good, and I have no complaints about any of it. I don’t understand why other people have issues with this location because I never have had issues with service or the food.

I am very picky with these types of restaurants, mostly because they usually have really bad service. There are definitely some exceptions and I will praise it when deserved. My husband and I came here on a Saturday morning. It was full, there was a wait but nothing unbearable because I mean its IHOP it always gets packed like that. Anyways, fortunately the food was good. I was craving pancakes so they were delicious. Let me just tell you that I am obsessed with customer service. Our server was delightful, She was on top of it all. she made me feel taken care off. Sadly i cannot remember her name but she was great i loved her! All in all, i enjoyed myself here.:)

I have been coming here for many years. I have never had a problem with service. Parking is a little small, and customers might need to park on the street. Restaurant is kind of small, as it is set up in a horizontal long shape. Food is great! I can’t say anything bad about it!

Went here by myself for a nice comfortable lunch, but my waitress did not seem too invested in working today because I literally asked for several things numerous times and not receiving anything. Patty melt was okay, but you really can’t except a great burger from a pancake joint. My visit would’ve been great had the waitress just been more attentive.

Excellent food, service, atmosphere here. Our waitress was very nice and kind of looked like Beyonce. We had to park at the end of the street — parking is free on the weekends in Clayton, so that wasn’t a problem. Don’t park in the garage with the«NOIHOPPARKING» sign… whatever. Even though they were really crowded and busy we only had to wait a minute to get seated, and service was fast and friendly. Food was fantastic, I had something with three eggs and bacon and pancakes. Definitely will return on my next trip to STL

This location is like the old building set up, its smaller but it still produces great food! I love Ihop’s breakfast items not to keen on their other items but for breakfast they have a good varitety.

The IHOP in my neighborhood closed after 50 years and we kind of miss them for a cheap breakfast. I wish they’d tear down the old building and build us a new one like this location. The inside is more modern, but still very compact and tight. They make use of every inch, but doing so puts the tables close together. It also makes the table tops small and crowded once your food arrives. However, IHOP serves up a good cheap breakfast. Their Breakfast Sampler gives you everything you’d want for your morning meal. You’ll enjoy two of everything; eggs your way, bacon, sausage, ham, pancakes and a hearty side of hash browns. It’s almost too much food, I always bring some bacon and sausage home for the dogs. I like my Hash Browns extra crispy and today when ordering I forgot to mention my quirky request. When they arrived, to my delight they were perfect. Crispy on top and crispy on the bottom too. So many diners serve them crispy on top and mushy on bottom, but not here. Your HB’s will crispy top and bottom with moist flavorful taters inside. This location is extremely clean and the staff was attentive and personable. When we are craving our IHOP fix, this location is close enough to make us happy.

its Ihop, so that tells you pretty much already, the newer updated building is very open and relaxing, its nice to see some difference after so many years of that same drab interior. The parking lot really needs some help, there are not nearly enough spaces outside to accommodate the amount of spaces inside so they tend to lose customers because of their lot size. The food was average as usual, never anything spectacular, I guess I eat at the ihop for more memorable reasons and because it’s a little bit cheaper than some places. service was good, didn’t have to wait long at all, and we were in and out of there without any hassle or aggravations so another point or two for that. if your looking for a traditional breakfast, then Ihop is for you.

stopped at this Ihop after dropping the dog off at TWB2. This was the closest location. it is like they picked the silly-est looking corner and said lets build a radically inconvenient location here. First let me say, the parking alone is a situation. the lot parks maybe 15 – 20 cars. we had to park up the street and walk in the rain. things i will do when the meal is free. second, the layout is like a long hallway. walkways are narrow and if someone is in the way it may take a few excuse me’s and even maybe a slightly rude MOVE! to get the person out of the way. third, the service was passable. our waitress, as well as the rest of the staff, were friendly. the food was OK. my banana’s in my fruit cup were black in the middle. i wouldn’t have minded so much if i ate cantaloupe. the melon is always the star of the fruit cup. that is why i don’t usually get them, but this one came with my meal. so i ate the 4 grapes and tablespoon of pineapple tidbits. i really don’t know what Ihop is thinking, but my fork was dull. like i almost was eating with my fingers dull, the job of a fork is to fork and my fork would not fork. this is the second Ihop I have been disappointed with, they need to get their selves together.

They completely tore down the old location and rebuilt it a brand new IHOP. It’s a little more open, and the new-ness gives it a cleaner feeling. My favorite is pigs in a blanket here! Get the Butter Pecan syrup heated slightly — it’s the best!
