Imo’s Pizza

After waiting for our «lunch specials» for almost 45 minutes, my wife and I were both disappointed with our food.

Update ⁰¹⁄₂₀₁₆: I was on a train from Chicago to St Louis and overheard a family talking about getting pizza in St Louis and they mentioned Imo’s specifically. I had the opportunity to tell them about how terrible Imo’s is and provided them a list of places that are actually good. I think they are going to Pi now based on their conversation. Screw Imo’s for how poorly they treat their customers.
P. s. They’ve never tried to resolve any of the issues I had with them.
Update ¹¹⁄₂₀₁₅: IMO’s has NEVER reached out to solve any of these problems. I’m ordering dominos right now, it’s terrible but they treat their customers right. Forget Imo’s and their luke warm pizza.

I had two terrible experiences back to back.
First, I ordered a pizza online, got my email confirmation that told me the pizza was on the way and then THE PIZZA NEVER ARRIVED! I called the restaurant several times and no one answered. It was 11:17 on a Saturday that I placed the order and according to google, Unilocal,and their own website, they are open until 12:30am on Saturdays. I hardly think an order placed an hour and twenty minutes before closing is unreasonable to expect that the pizza will actually arrive, ESPECIALLY when you email me and tell me that my pizza is on the way.
Second, I ordered a pizza during the world series game and it was nearly as bad:
1: the driver calls me and tells me to come downstairs and then doesn’t arrive for 10 more minutes, leaving me waiting when I could have come down as he arrived.
2: the driver doesn’t get out of his car and come to the door, but instead has me walk down the block to his SUV to get my pizza.
3: as I’m headed out the door, the driver see some other people that he mistakes for me and when he sees that they are going in the opposite direction, yells loudly into the phone «WRONG WAY!» Instead of using his speaking voice to politely let me know he thinks I’m walking in the wrong direction (which I wasn’t)
4: when I got my pizza, IT WAS COLD. I had to reheat my so called «fresh» pizza
I reached out to these guys to resolve this issue and no one got back to me. They clearly don’t care about their customers and they are NEVER getting my business again.
Please eat literally anywhere else.

This is the worst pizza I’ve had in my whole life. I ordered a small and it took a half a hour to make! How could it take a half a hour if it’s basically a cracker pizza!

Just tried to order a pizza at the counter here and was told they were OUT of Pepperoni!!! Seriously?!? We left.

I wish I could make this zero stars. I ordered wings with sauce on the side and when they got here the lid of the sauce was completely melted and the wings sat in their «hot box» for at LEAST an hour. When I called to complain the manager argued with me saying I was wrong. Excuse me? No that’s not good customer service at all! I wish I could post a photo here. I wouldn’t even feed them to my dog!!!

Terribly slow with bad serivce. They tell us to pick up in 20 minutes then we wait for 45 more minutes

Probably my least favorite pizza I’ve ever had, and I love pizza. Not to mention crappy service, I make the effort to order and pay for an extra sauce, you charge me for it and then don’t even bring it?! Thanks. I also ordered the famous toasted ravioli that everyone raves about and… it wasn’t good at all. I’d take Totino’s pizza rolls over these any day! I’ll never go back…

Salad was full of brown wilted iceberg lettuce. The pizza was cold by the time I arrived home (picked it up.) Way too expensive for this awful product.

This place has gone downhill and the pizza that I am currently waiting on will be our last. We live very close and are waiting nearly an hour and a half. The quality and reliability have both plummeted recently. Pizzas show up looking crazy, something in the order is always forgotten. The last pizza literally looked disheveled, and looked like it had been cut by a drunk, not to mention was crappy. When I called to check on current pizza 30 minutes ago I was told it was out for delivery, but we literally live so close that we could have walked there in the time we’ve been waiting. If it does show up, it will likely be cold. Cecil Whittakers, here we come.

This place sucks! I have given them chance after chance to redeem themselves. I work around the corner, I’ve had clients ask for Imos pizza. I will never being my clients to this location. My pizza paste like chez n crackers.please.please…please always go to the Hampton location, it’s next to Hardees, they make it the correct way. Evertime I eat the Hampton location pizza, it reminds me when I used to go there as a child. Never go to the Forrest Park location, you’ll never experience the real imos pizza. They need to be closed!

Less than one star! This place lied and said we didn’t answer the phone. It took 2hrs for them to tell us they were busy. I will not use this location again. Even if the manager tries to give us coupons, horrible customer service.

This was the first time I’ve tried St. Louis style pizza. Got the Deluxe Pizza, Toasted Ravioli and Garlic Cheese Bread. Pizza was awesome because I like all cheese. The Provel apparently is mixed with provolone, cheddar and swiss cheeses all of which made it more gooey and buttery — I enjoyed it! And the pizza was thin crust which is a plus for me. Toasted Ravioli was just ok for me but the Garlic Cheese Bread was delicious.
Customer service was impressive starting from the phone call to the quick delivery. They called me 7 mins before they would arrive and then again when they arrived.

DO NOT EAT HERE! It made me give them one star. I didn’t want to. I Ordered delivery from this location and it was truly the worst experience I’ve ever had! A true disappointment for all Imo’s franchises. I’m from St. Louis and live out of town. So when I’m here I pretty much always get it. This was my first time ordering from this location due to where I’m staying. Ordered a extra large 2 topping pizza, toasted ravioli, and a 2 liter of soda. It took just about an hour for delivery. When it arrived I met the guy out front. He told me he was new, I gave him a $ 3 even though I got a delivery fee as well. (You automatically get a tip from me if you bring a pin for me to sign the receipt.) when I brought it inside I sat it in the kitchen and went to wash my hands. My mom opened the box and asked if I had eaten some already. I said no, and was greeted by a soupy mess of what is supposed to be our pizza and 2 squares gone. I then opened the box of toasted ravioli and the red sauce was spilled everywhere. Clearly both were not acceptable for us. (See the pictures I’ve attached.) I immediately called them back and told them we were not eating it, to remake it, and deliver it as I had 3 hungry children waiting for dinner on our Friday movie and pizza night! I went back in the kitchen and looked in disbelief of what they had given us. Something told me to count the ravioli. When I opened the box the way it was positioned looked like one was missing. I was correct we got 9 out of 10 ravioli. I’m not saying our driver got hungry on the way, but missing pizza and a missing rav is kind of sketchy! Will never order from this location ever again!!! We waited another hour for the re delivery! The pizzas were night and day by the way! Clearly they didn’t care and dropped the ball in the Pacific Ocean on this one. For the out-​of-​towers, please experience the square beyond compare at a different franchise.

Amazing pizza & delivery service. My son is in the hospital at St Louis Children’s Hospital and craving Imo’s. The staff was amazing to coordinate delivery to the hospital. Best pizza in St Louis

You aren’t a real St Louisian until you’ve head Imo’s. It’s definitely the kind of pizza you don’t realize you miss until you’ve moved away and don’t get it anymore. Just a heads up if you haven’t had it before, it’s definitely an acquired taste. The pizza comes with a cracker thin crust, very very little sauce, and provel cheese. If you haven’t had provel before, it’s a cheddar meets swiss meets provolone. I couldn’t eat it the first few times I had it, but my the third, I have grown quite fond of it. This place is just as good as any of the other locations. The only other thing I have to add is that if you get a veggie pizza from here, it’s a little different than the other locations. It has broccoli instead of olives. It’s still pretty good, but I wish I had known that before I ordered.

Well they say it’s good pizza. I wouldn’t know sense every time I call them it’s closed!! why put hours u open till 11:00pm ???if you are closed at 9:45 ??? I called again they put me on hold. I gave up and called another pizza place. need to improve on web site time, also people who answer their phones. first impressions. u should never make someone for food. I went to pi pizza. thank u for having wrong times, and putting me on hold because pi pizza was so good.

Drove all the way from Wichita for good ‘olé IMO’s pizza. Good salad and great pizza. Nothing compares. This isn’t the best location but, since it was close to the ballpark, it had to do. Friendly waitress but overall the service was rather indifferent

If you are looking for St Louis style pizza in the CWE, this is it (for better or worse).
Pros– Can order online fast and easy pickup.
Cons– Doesn’t deliver.

It’s like they have the blind leading the blind here. We ordered a deluxe pizza and when we opened the box, ALL of the cheese and toppings had slid off the pizza and into the corner of the box. It was as if he carried the pizza vertically. We actually laughed out loud when we saw it. Plus our roast beef sammy was way overcooked and dry… and missing the «everything» we asked for (lettuce, onion, pickle, tomato, mayo).
So we called back and explained the situation and they promised to send the remake out RIGHT AWAY. lol… another hour later we got a nice looking roast beef sammy but a pizza that was even MORE jacked! There was not a single topping even hinged on the the crust of the pizza.
We called back again laughing. I said, «I am not even mad, I am impressed. Let me send you a text image of this pizza– it is crazy.» He apologized profusely and promised to send another, but at this point it had been 2 hours and we had drank our sodas, and eaten our wings and had dinner plans so we refused another pizza.
At this point, the gentleman offered to bring us back our ten dolllars for the pizza and we accepted. He said he’d be by shortly but it was another hour before we saw him.
Total s-​show. Avoid this location altogether. I have had far superior service at the U City or Maplewood locations. YIKES

Their lunch specials lured me in. Nothing to write home about and pizza in St. Louis will never compare to Philly-​NYC anyway. Service was good and the place was clean. $ 6.75 gets you a 8″ pizza with topping, soda, and small salad. Good enough for me!
