This pizza was awesome, it tasted so good. The only reason I’m giving a low review is because I got really sick after eating it. I had the worst stomach ache all night. They also had these cool beer glasses I wanted to ask the manager if I could buy one but never got the chance.

Being from out of town this STL style pizza is still growing on me. But the double decker pizza at Twigs was pretty darn great. It takes awhile to cook something so large and thick so please take a load off and have a couple of drinks or an appetizer. Service on NYE was really good and there was still a healthy crowd there around dinner time. My partner accidentally dumped the entire pizza on the floor after I had taken my first slice. So I was really disappointed that I was going home starving after buying a fairly pricey pizza. But fortunately the staff cleaned it up quickly and brought out an entirely new pizza free of charge. If that doesn’t keep your customers loyal I don’t what does. Great pizza, Great service this is a terrific place to get your drink and grub on.

I’ve frequented JJ Twig’s — the quality of the food and the service are consistently between 3 and 4 stars. The pizza draws the crowd, however the sandwiches and wraps are very good too. Last night I dined with a dear friend, she had the BBQ chicken pizza. I had the buffalo chicken wrap. We were not disappointed. We sat at a high top in the bar area because the dining area is too cramped, which creates a less-than-desirable ambiance.

We love both the thin and the double decker. The only deciding factor is how much time you have.

You have to get the double decker. It is what makes the place so special. Like you took 2 thin crust pizzas and laid them on top of each other, and gave it a nice crust handle. So GOOD!

I was recommend JJ twigs by a friend and while it was not bad by any means. It also was not special. Pizza was average. I had the buffalo chicken pizza. The wings also did not present anything special. Just another local pizza place. Service was good.

Great family business. We gave visited this location many times and the food is excellent. Pizza is our favorite and Twigs has one of the best deep dish around. But, we also have tried a thin crust cheese pizza and it’s great too. Fast friendly service is the norm.

Their double decker pizzas are amazing. My current favorite is the buffalo chicken double decker. Good customer service. Good beer selection. My favorite pizza place in the St Louis area, period.

Went to this JJ twigs location about 2 weeks ago. The staff was very friendly the food is really good, the bartender was kind of rude she was a pretty little thing but very rude kind of like she was irritated with the customer that she had but that’s customer service and that’s the way it is. I would definitely recommend this place for singles and great food for date nights if you just want to say hang out and have fun

One of my goto places for pizza and salad. The crust is thin, crispy and chewy all at the same time. We usually get bacon, sausage and mushroom. Bacon is smokey, sausage is flavorful. The house dressing is a mix of ranch and italian and is great for pizza dipping also. I’ve gotten the wings here and highly recommend them. They are not too spicy. Good beer selection also.

Best pizza maker in town! This is one of my favorite places when I visit St. Louis. The restaurant has a really friendly, neighborhood atmosphere and an excellent bartender. That woman can make any kind of drink you can think of! I am impressed.

Great patio, great pizza, moderate beer selection. As somebody who was traveling for work I believe It is the best option for food that far out of St. Louis

Out and about in the area looking at houses, we stopped by for a late lunch and were not disappointed! Lunch specials were plentiful and we each decided to get sodas with the double decker pizzas and salads. The wait staff was very attentive, even for us outside guests. They kept our drinks filled to the top. Our salads were delivered right away, which was great as the double decker pizzas take a bit longer to cook. Once the pizzas arrived, they were hot and devoured immediately. I got sausage, my husband got bacon and each type was good. It reminded me a bit like Chicago style as it was thick, with lots of sauce and toppings. For sure come to Twigs if you have a pizza craving!

This place is very good! We had the sampler for an appetizer and loved it all. I had the Italian beef sandwich and it was very good except the whole bottom of the bread was soggy. My boyfriend had a burger and loved it. Good atmosphere, good food! We’ll be back.

Solid place for lunch. They offer a double-decker pizza and salad for about 12 bucks. The salad comes with any of about a dozen different varieties of salad dressing. I chose the balsamic on the waitresses’ recommendation and found it slightly thick and quite good. The salad itself was simple but fresh. The double-decker pizza — sausage & onion — was very good. It was clearly a smaller pizza than you would get at dinner time but still more than enough for lunch. Cooking time was very reasonable at about 15 minutes. Surprise, surprise… this is not Chicago-style pizza but it certainly bears a closer resemblance to something from the windy city than most pizza in STL. For me, that is a good thing! I liked the fact that their sauce contained some actual seasoning and that their sausage was clearly apportioned from bulk as opposed to those turd-esque precooked things found on some local pizza. The onions were uniformly cut such that they were evenly cooked — another positive. The bottom layer of crust was nicely crispy while the top layer remained soft. All in all, very well executed. It would have been nice if there was a bit more light in the place, especially given that we were there for lunch and not drinking beer. Very friendly service too.

Stopped into JJ Twig’s for a casual lunch while in the area with a friend. To be honest JJ Twig’s wasn’t our first choice, however they were only serving breakfast which was not what we were wanting so we settled on JJ Twig’s. Inside is a no frills bar & grill, with several TVs scattered around. I have to admit that service here was rather lacking, I think our hostess and waitress each through the other one was taking care of our table, leaving us to sit for nearly 10 – 15 minutes before anyone checked up on us. Anyways when we decided to order we started off with an order of Cheese Curds but be warned these curds hardly tasted like cheese curds at all. In fact they actually tasted more like mozzarella sticks which were cut into small pieces and put into batter. Do yourself a favor and skip them, if you want real cheese curds Southwest offers some great flights to Wisconsin. Trust me you will thank me later on that one. Anyways I just ended up going with a burger and was disappointed, as my burger was pretty dry and really lacked any great taste. I know I should have ordered pizza or something along those lines, however the food paired with the lack of service was a bit of a disappointment. Personally there are better places to eat pizza in Saint Louis, so I have to say that I will probably skip JJ Twig’s in the future.
