Keypers is the Crown Jewel of St. Louis! Extremely welcoming patrons, the friendliest of barkeypers, the most entertaining karaōke pianist with a very wide repertoire, and inexpensive drinks make for an unforgettable evening of fun and enjoyment. Truly a rare experience in this age of overpriced, overhyped, unfriendly bars.

Keypers has to be the most underrated bar in Saint Louis. I love this place. Drinks are very reasonably priced and there is live music every night. If you want to sit down, relax, enjoy yourself and meet great people you should go to Keypers.

Okay, so… put $ 7 into the jukebox, then the piano player(who was really, really, REALLY not that good.) never took breaks, so we never heard the music we selected. Ordered a pizza, first was okay, then we ordered a second, it took forever to come, and when it did it was burnt and when I asked if they were gonna make one without the entire top blackened, I got excuses about a broken oven, and being to busy to make it right, and was given it for free. It was inedibly burnt and was made to feel rude for calling out the fact of being in th e state it was and being appalled by it’s state, and tried to get them to make an apparent 3rd attempt, and never received it. Pretty bad, IMHO.

I went for the first time last night and enjoyed myself. Friendly service, good drinks, authentic atmosphere. I only wish the piano were amplified louder. She was great!

OK so I went there for dinner and was pleasingly surprised! You walk in the door and there are welcoming smiles and hellos all around. The prices are more than reasonable, there is food with a limited menu, blue plate specials, pizza, burgers etc. The lighting is perfect,(smile}there are chandeliers! a small dining area to the back and for those that want theres a patio outback, from what I saw quite nice. As it turns out ‚[being the south side }I knew quite a few of the patrons, all very nice people. It is a piano bar, nice, and when Patty isnt playing the JB is going with a good selection of all types of music, its a nice little place with lots of charm, give it a try, you just might like what it is

Keyper’s is a gay piano bar playing mostly cabaret and show tunes. It is located in a historic building on Jefferson. Guests sing along and there are actually some pretty good singers! It is decorated with classy/historic décor, chandeliers, etc. The drinks are reasonable, and the staff is nice. I have heard the food is good, but I haven’t tried it yet. While it is primarily an older gay crowd. They are very open to patrons of all types and hosted my big group of friends with open arms,

Keypers took me by surprise in a lot of different ways. I really didn’t know a thing about it. The only thing I did know is that I frequently pass it on Jefferson, but have never taken the time to stop by to see what it was about. Tonight I took that time, and sure enough — it was not what I expected. First and foremost, this is a gay men bar. Very low key. Definitely a «locals» kind of place. This is where you go when you want to just hang out, have a couple of beers, and mingle with the neighborhood patrons. Secondly, it’s a dive. I love dive bars. It does have smoking allowed. I don’t care for it, but they have a sign warning you it’s smoking before you walk in. If you don’t like smoke — then you shouldn’t come here. They do have an option for an outdor patio. It’s not a huge space, but it could settle 3 or 4 groups outside. They have pretty good food and mixed drinks. I had a pizza that was thin crust that was delicious. I’m not sure if it was worth what I paid for, but it didn’t stop me from devouring most of it. I was pretty hungry! I went here alone. I enjoy checking out venues sometimes without company so I can just relax. The bartender Mark was such a sweetheart. Honestly, he just made my night all the better because he was so friendly. The people there were very few. All of us sat at the bar. Probably 6 or 7 of us total, and I was the only female there until the pianist showed up. We did have one thing in common — we all love men! The men there were middle age except for the bartender and I. Not quite sure how it is typically like on a Saturday, but I didn’t get the impression that this place is like Just John’s or Bastilles. The primary concept of the name«Keypers» comes from the fact that it is indeed a piano bar. The pianist Patty doesn’t play until 9:30pm. This evening she came in around 9 to be surprised with all the guys singing«happy birthday» to her and giving her a birthday cake which they shared with me. You truly get the impression that everyone there was so genuine. They treated me like they had known me for years and just accepted me as I was. Will I go back? Indeed. It’s hard to find true authenticity in this city. That’s hard to come by sometimes. None lacking here though at Keypers.

Small local South City piano bar with lots of charm. Went here for the first time on a sunday night. The resident piano player was there, she could play just about anything you wanted, but the tempo of the songs she chose were not as lively as I would have liked. Great old building-ruff around the ages but like I said lots of charm. Great bar tender bought everyone at the bar a shoot-claimed it was cherry vanilla or something like that. Very good– bartender! Made my husband a shoot he called pancakes for his b-day. Can’t wait to go back to this place. Stop in and check it out if only to check out the old buildings charm.

I’ve yet to have any food from here, but these guys know how to make a drink and it’s the only place in the neighborhood with live piano players.
