Lovely Nails

I used to go to this nail salon bc it was so near my house and relatively inexpensive but on multiple occasions they have hurt me. They have caused me to bleed when drilling, filing, and removing my nails. Very unprofessional and unsanitary! Mediocre job with nails anyway, not worth the try

My first time here, and my last.
The gal doing my fill nicked my cuticles and burned my fingertips so many times while removing my polish, I lost count. The one time I loudly said «OUCH!» and yanked my hand away, she didn’t blink an eye or apologize, but merely reached for my hand again. The rest of the time, I winced every time she took her tool out because I didn’t know if I was going to get hurt again or not!
The employees were conversing in their own language (a huge pet peeve of mine) and not at all with the customers. When they did switch to English, it took a minute to register because you became so accustomed to them not speaking in a language you could understand. The two TVs were tuned to different stations and both with the volume on. The amount of noise was awful.
She did good work — my nails look decent, but overall I was very unhappy with the experience.

Still have nothing but positive reviews for this place and the quality of service I get. In the 3 years since I’ve written the review, I’ve tried other places and still come back to Nikki. It’s the best in my opinion

Love, Love, Love Lovely Nails. They are nestled in my neighborhood and the owners, Niki and her husband could not be nicer. I have been going for my «pedi’s» for several years and they are quick, friendly, clean and reasonable and the best part… I can walk there! They run a nice business in my neighborhood, and for that I am grateful.

This was by far the worse manicure I have ever had! They also charge extra if your male. Do not waste your time coming here.

I love this place. I always get right in. I get a manicure and a spa pedicure for $ 33! You can’t beat that. The spa pedicure involves a foot and leg mask, sugar scrub, cooling leg and foot gel, then a hot towel. It’s heaven. I’ve become a faithful patron. I haven’t found so much for so little anywhere else!

I wanted to get my nails done before going on vacation, but time did not allow that, so looking up a nail salon was one of the first things we did when we got to St. Louis. The people working at Lovely Nails were very nice. And I guess my friend and I got our money’s worth from what they charge and the level of service they provide. I’m spoiled by nail salons that serve beer and wine so it was disappointing to learn Lovely Nails didn’t offer beverages. I’m not counting that against them, though. The pedicure was fine but it felt rushed. I could have used a little more TLC on my feet. After the pedicure, I got a new set put on. This salon uses white tips instead of normal tips, and they use regular powder instead of the white and pink powder. So again, for the price I guess I got what I expected. The thing that really bummed me out was that the nail guy didn’t cut down my fingernails before he put the tips on so there was a gap between my real nail and the fake nail. I had to cut them myself using cuticle scissors and that wasn’t fun.
Overall I’m kind of torn on the review, but it really was just a meh experience.
