Reserved a table last Saturday here for about 10 people. It was awesome! The music was fantastic, they took requests and played everything we asked for(even Nate Dogg!) It was so much fun, the drinks were great. We will be coming back for sure!

We got there for a bachelorette around 8, which is pretty early for this place. I’d say there were maybe 5 other groups in there. I’ve been to this place when it used to be Jive & Wail at a much later hour, and it was very different. Our waitress was so so – I swear she had a one-track mind and could not handle more than one thing at a time. She would take maybe two drink orders, then leave, come back and take a couple more, and it took four tries of trying to flag her down while she was at our table taking other people’s orders to get my drink ordered. And she could never bring food and drinks at the same time. Again… one thing at a time. The menu itself is pretty bare, which I don’t fault them on. It’s all basically finger food you can share with groups. But the food was just meh. My chicken strips tasted off. But I realize most people aren’t coming here to eat, they’re coming here to listen to music and drink. And about that music, it was also alright, but nothing to rave about. Some of the tunes played were way off. They also had this goofy ‘metal cables and carabiner clips’ setup to send your requests to the piano players. So, like, write your request on a paper, clip it to the clip, then fling it down the cable to the stage. It was dumb because only about 1 in 4 people could actually fling them with enough umph to reach the stage, while the rest of the requests just sat in limbo over someone’s head. I have a hunch that this place would have been more fun if we went there later, but I can’t say that for sure. It just wasn’t much of a party while we were there.

Pretty cool place when looking for something to do. They really don’t duel, but the music was great to listen and sing along with.

The second star is only because the people working there were nice, and trying hard. The place is not ready for business yet! They failed to get a single drink order correct, and the food(appetizers) was lower quality than year old frozen items from the freezer in your garage. While piano players knew how to play, they did not duel, or challenge each other once in the 2 hours we were there. The failure is an upper level management not ensuring that the good people they hired knew the procedures and had the experience to meet the demand of the customers. It will be a long time before I give them another try, so I doubt I’ll get the opportunity.

Interesting. My friends and I were not sure what to expect when trying Lucky’s for the first time. There were quite a few sloppy(and I mean sloppy) Bridesmaids in the joint, but at least they were entertaining. The music genre was a little off for us because they only seemed to be playing 70s and 80s, instead of a mix of music from all over the board. Nonetheless we can get down to just about anything. On the plus side the piano players that we met were some of the nicest guys. I will definitely be back in to Lucky’s.

Had a wonderful time at our bachelorette party last night! Great music, the entertainers involved the crowd, and the staff was very accommodating to our requests. Would definitely recommend this place to multiple generations!

I come in here after long shifts at work. They are open late. It’s perfect. I didn’t give a review because I hadn’t tried their food so I’d have a full experiance. Well, I tried their food today and it was amazing. I got the chicken tenders and it was light and flakey and didn’t feel greasy at all! But to the core of it the pianist. They won me over when I was out on Washington Ave and from the external speakers outside, they were playing Nine Inch Nails — «Love» you like an animal. Another duelist meowed during the chorus. I was a mess in the streets with laughter. I came in that night and was a wallflower for a while. It feels so comfortable here! The pianist are hilarious and personable. They try and please if they can’t play a song you request. I always have fun here. And ladies, I’ve been here multiple times and the music keeps gentlemen preoccupied so no stranger danger any time soon. This is the only place I can let go and not worry about who is trying to hit on me or size me up. Truly a pleasure! I’ll be here as much as I can to enjoy cheap drinks, good food, and great entertainment!!!

Came in here hoping for some dueling pianos. Paid $ 3 cover which is minimal but didn’t appreciate that the bouncer didn’t mention the dueling pianos were almost done for the night. LAME. We got to listen to two songs. Seriously?!

Ended up at this place on Saturday night and had a great time! I’ve never been to a dueling piano bar so I didn’t quite know what to expect. When we got there around 10:30 it was quite empty, only the tables close to the front were full but a waitress came up right away and got us drinks very quickly. The players were fun and fed into the audience energy. By midnight the first floor was full and more bachelorette parties seemed on their way in, which is when we decided it was time to leave. Overall, I would probably give this place 4.5 stars. The pulley system to get requests up to the front seemed like a great idea but wasn’t working so well. The players brought up the tips that people were sending up with songs quite a lot, which may be normal at a piano bar, but came off as if they felt that people weren’t giving enough money. Both of which docked my 5 star rating slightly. I also ordered a margarita and was given the saltiest margarita I have ever had, to the point that it was almost undrinkable. I’ve never heard of salt IN a margarita and not on the rim, but there’s a first time for everything. I won’t hold this against the bar, though, but I would suggest staying away from the margarita. Beers were $ 4 which was reasonable. On a different not, there was no cover charge, but the guy standing outside announced«no cover charge tonight!» I had assumed there wouldn’t be, but I’m guessing this means there may be one in the future.

We stumbled upon this brand new piano bar after the Flamingo Bowl was closed. It appears to be in the old Jive and Wail space but is now called Lucky’s Dueling Pianos. It was relatively empty and the draft beer system wasn’t up yet, but that didn’t stop us from having a good time. The piano players were great and we really enjoyed that they played any request you had and mostly just played great music. Unlike other piano bars there wasn’t a lot of the gimmicky birthday and engagement performances. The venue is huge and they have ziplines to send requests from the balcony. There were 2 bars so it looks like even on the busy nice service would be quick. Hopefully this new dueling piano bar succeeds on Washington Avenue!
