This place sucks and blows. I honestly do not understand the hype. I paid $ 10 for a 4″ long roast beef sandwich with scant cheese & a few hunks of dry, horrible beef and awful, cold mac & cheese. It also gave me a horrible headache from the msg in their meat. Very disappointed. I came home and made a grilled cheese that was 100x better. I will not be going back here. Ever.

My daughter asked me to go. I was told that it is similar to Panera. They are know for their sweet tea, since I am not a fan I will take everyone’s word for it. The line was long, but it moved quickly. Lots of menu options. I picked the smoked jerk turkey and mac & cheese. Once we ordered we tried to find a clean table, yeah not a clean table in the place. We got some napkins and did our best to create a nice table. The bring the food to your table and the mess did not seem to bother the servers. My mac & cheese was cold, the sandwich was average. It would take a lot for me to go back.

The food here is awesome. Whenever I go here, I am never disappointed. The club sandwich is awesome, as is the cheddar broccoli soup, and the Cobb salad. We usually get our meal to go, but when we eat there, the staff is very good about bringing you refills, and the service is quick, the portions are generous, and I love eating here as most of south county was today, taking a break from Christmas shopping. Thanks for a great experience again.

This place has gone downhill recently. It is dirty, especially the bathrooms. If you can overlook the dirt, the food is pretty good and the tea is delicious.

I like the sandwich that I had but the mac & cheese is really gross, way too heavy. They have a very large menu and plenty of things look ok on there I would make another visit in the future.

Who on earth is giving this place a poor review? This place is awesome. Better than a deli, it has table service, free refills, attentive staff. Food is top notch. I got the Italian, toasted sandwich and steamed veggies. Plenty of meat, and all those nice little fixings. Olives, peppers, tomatoes, ect. Id order another one if I wasn’t so stuffed. If you haven’t been here your life probably isn’t worth living.

The turkey cranberry Chibata is awesome! Macaroni and cheese is creamy and delicious. Hubby really seems to like his McAllister club, too. I agree with the previous review, though, that said none of the people here smile. If I were management I would have a smiling meeting. LOL it would help to customer service a lot! Other than the smiling thing, I would highly recommend coming here.

This is a great go-to spot for a quick and non-greasy meal. I come here for lunch from time to time, and my husband and I decided on a casual dinner here last night. This location is very clean and service is usually pretty decent, though the young workers acted like they would rather be anywhere but there last night. No greeting when we walked in even though two of the girls were cleaning a table right by the door, and not a smile on one face throughout the restaurant. They were consistent with refilling our drinks and such, they just didn’t seem too thrilled about doing it. This is the type place where you order at the counter, take a number, grab a seat, and wait for your food to come out. They have a variety of sandwiches, soups, salads, and spuds. I ordered a seasonal grilled turkey sandwich on ciabatta bread topped with gorgonzola cheese, cranberry relish, and thinly sliced granny smith apples. I chose the mashed potatoes and gravy for my side to stick with the Thanksgiving theme I had going. The sandwich was so good… I wish they offered it year round! My husband ordered a turkey club sandwich and a simple bag of chips for his meal. Also, I must add that their sweet tea is wonderful! I’ve been a regular at McCallister’s Deli for years so I’ll most definitely be back and make it my goal to get those teen workers to smile. :)

If you love sweet tea, McAlister’s is the place to be! We don’t go here a lot, maybe a handful of times a year, but I can always find something to satisfy my hunger. Most recently I fell in love with their nachos as their cheese is to die for. Its a great place to study or to just relax with a great drink.

The food was good, but the service was slow on a Sunday afternoon with the Church crowd. We had to get up for drink refills and to-go boxes.

So, first off i would like to say that I am not a fan of any chain restaurants but, whatever my sister and I decided to stop by for a quick bite before a meeting. I had a turkey panini and we had salad and soup. It was ok defiantly nothing to special at all! the food seemed quite bland and dry. the potato soup was«different» and not in a good way it was super watered down it seemed. Also they have people who bring out the food to your table but then when i asked for a extra side of honey mustard they told me to go to the counter and get it myself. hmm…? confusing. I think ill stick with the little mom and pop deli shops. Wont be going back!!!

I’m amazed at how many times I’ve passed this joint and never gone in. I like McAlister’s…it reminds me of a deli chain in Texas called Jason’s Deli. There’s loads of options, with the standard soups and sandwiches, but I like that they have actual dinner items as well. I had a Reuben and potato salad. Lot’s of filling in the Reuben, but it could have stood another minute in the whatever they use to heat it up. The potato salad was delicious. Tricia’s French Dip and mashed potatoes were quite tasty. I like this place. I’ll be back.

Snaps to you McAlister’s for being a deli with a ton of vegetarian options. Double snaps for having amazing, addictive, way to take something somewhat healthy and make it so not actually good for you at all, sweet tea. I mean, it’s not the best deli I have ever been to. It’s not even the best deli in St. Louis(Jimmy John’s Sandwiches are my favorite and for old school deli, I mean come on… Amigetti’s? Mom’s Deli??? Clearly more charm) But really a great selection and pretty good prices for the amount you get. Any kind of loaded baked potato you want, an array of sandwiches(for the carnivore and herbivore alike), a decent selection of salads, and a desert menu… it’s pretty good for some quick family pick up. Word of warning, the line can stretch and you can’t make the left turn onto Lemay or Lindbergh. Yes… that’s a pain… but anyone that ever cruised Lindbergh back in the 90’s can figure out a way to finagle THAT.
