I just realized that I never got around to reviewing the Monday Funday Happy Hour @ Edgewild Bistro & Tap. This was another super casual event allowing fellow Unilocalers to mingle over some quality appetizers while sampling a delicious cocktail. It was great to sample some of the great items that are offered at EdgeWild Bistro, and the owner Andy just kept things coming allowing us to enjoy a wide variety of items on the menu. My favorites were the Spiced Popcorn & Kale Chips and Pistachio & prosciutto Pizza, both were amazing. I am not a fan of kale, however It was oven roasted to a crispy perfection and it paired so well with the popcorn. Other favorites were the Jumbo Chicken Wings, Soft Bakes Pretzel & Chips, while I didn’t try it other Unilocalers raved about the Avocado & Crab Salad. Overall this was a great even organized by Aaron, kudos to Aaron and Andy for hosting such an amazing event and allow us to socialize with our friends over some great food!

The only that I could eat was the avocado dip with the fried bread appetizer. It was delish! The menu looked interesting. I might give this place another shot. The service was impeccable! The waitress was very attentive. Great variety & very inventive food. The event was fun thanks to Aaron & Edgewild Bistro & Tap.

Booze, Appetizers and a fun group of Unilocalers are the main ingredients of a Monday Funday Happy Hour. I can not preach it enough to my fellow Unilocalers, that these Happy Hour events are some of the best and most fun events to attend. They are small, intimate and an opportunity to meet, greet and create friends beyond the internet Unilocal. As usual, our community manager Aaron treated us to our first drink. Those of us who enjoyed more then one adult beverage, started our own bar tabs and the servers were great at keeping it all organized and separated. We were all gathered around one large table in the bar area, making it easy to converse as a whole group or broken up into smaller intimate chat groups. As we chatted, plates of appetizers flowed out from the kitchen and for brief moments silenced the table, until we started discussing the savory treats we just enjoyed. Here’s a list of the goodies we enjoyed and my opinion: Pistachio & Prosciutto Pizza — I’m in love! It was a-little salty, but with those two topping, that is what I’d expect. Chicken Wings-Smoked & Triple Dry Rubbed — Winner! Goes on my Wing List. They were jumbo sized and juicy. Crispy Brussel Sprouts — My second favorite vegetable, but they were undercooked. Biscuits — Heavenly! Flakey biscuit and the Granny Smith Apple Butter would win the blue ribbon at the state fair. Avocado & Crab Salad with Fried Indian Bread — Give me the salad and some tortilla chips and forget the Indian bread. The Indian Bread was rubbery and had to tear, plus it lacked in flavor. Popcorn & Kale Chips — Unique combination and was a great snack with my craft beer. House Made Potato Chips with Brown Ale Cheese Sauce — Not for me, but the other Unilocalers enjoyed them. We also got to sample their house made Root Beer, which is smooth, not overly sweet and no aftertaste. When I drink soda, Root Beer is my go to and this one is worthy of my Root Beer List. As you can tell, EdgeWild Bistro & Tap, put out a wonderful spread for us to enjoy. So once again, I tell you my fellow Unilocalers, come to these Happy Hour Events, you’ll enjoy yourself and meet new friends. Thanks, Aaron and EB&T for a fun night.

Thanks, Aaron and Edgewild Bistro & Tap, for such a lovely Monday Funday Unilocal event. There were about 10 of us sitting at one table in the bar, and that really encouraged group conversation. It was great to catch up with fellow Unilocalers. I started with a limoncello beverage, which was absolutely delightful — so fresh and lemony. Owner Andy came by to greet us. He’s such a gracious host. And then the apps started flowing. Holy cow — was there an abundance with great dlversity! Steven B.‘s review covers everything quite well. I didn’t try everything, but I did try these wonderful morsels: Popcorn and Kale Chips — THIS is the way to eat vegetables. Those kale chips were so crunchy and flavorful, and absolutely melted in my mouth Smoked, Triple-Rubbed Chicken Wings — so HUGE and tasty. Full of flavor Crispy Brussels Sprouts — ANOTHER good way to get your vegetables Housemade Chips with Brown Ale Cheese Sauce — Yummy crispy crunchy, and the cheese sauce was a perfect accompaniment Cassandra did a fabulous job on service! Thanks, Aaron and Andy, for such a fun and enjoyable evening.
