I am so confused. I thought this event was, «No More Infusion Confusion». Now that Tim, our instructor taught me how to infuse, which he did very throughly, I cannot decide what to infuse first. Okay, I do know that it will be vodka,(my liquor of choice), but I do not know what to infuse it with. Hence, the reason for my confusion. The class was small and set up as typical business or school lecture, with two rows to tables. Each place setting had some amazing Unilocal swag waiting for each attendee. I love my new flask with the Unilocal logo. Square One was a wonderful host, providing plates of their famous pretzels and other goodies for us to munch on as we learned how to infuse whiskey, vodka, St. Germain and how to make Limoncello. Being set up in the back dining room, did have some disadvantages. However, since I work in a noisy environment at work behind bullet proof glass, the music and restaurant noises were not a distraction for me. I was able to hear Tim just fine, as he taught the basic skills of infusion. I am sure they saved the best for last in the Unilocal’s School of Booze, because I cannot imagine any of the other classes being better then this one. Thanks to Aaron, Tim and Square One Brewery & Distillery for a job well done. Unilocal Event June 25, 2015

This was such a departure from the usual Unilocal events however I have to admit that I think I enjoyed it more. Our class was small, which allowed everyone to ask questions. Our teacher Tim, taught us about infusing several types of spirits and three unique methods to do so. Tim was very knowledgeable and offered some great suggestions, in fact many of us already were talking about trying some unique creations before the class was even over. I was very intrigued by the bacon infused whiskey, which was actually infused with bacon fat, although it was frozen which separated the fat and alcohol which allowed you to remove the bacon fat after the flavor had infused with the alcohol. Before the class was over Tim allowed us to sample some of the pressure infused spirits created that evening. I really enjoyed the Lavender infused St. Germain, however the Limoncello was very good too. My only real complaint was the sound from the restaurants often overpowered our teacher Tim. Thanks to Aaron, SquareOne, and our teacher Tim for a great alcohol educational experience.
