In the few times I have gone here for health services I have been impressed. I’ve only gone for dental care(exams, cleanings and fillings) but they do offer a list of other services. The facility looks very lovely on the outside and in. I was able to get through and sign in very quickly. Then again I showed up a half hour early for my appointment so that’s part of it. The initial registration process doesn’t take long at all. Get an appointment if you can. It will make your life a lot easier. Since this is a Public Health Center you will have to pay for your services but they do take most insurance plans. If you do not have insurance then you can pay on a sliding scale for your services that’s based on your income. Again I would call to check prices just to make sure. The dentist and the staff were very kind and professional when I went in. Considering there were only two dentists in the entire place I was impressed with the level of care I received. Keep in mind that you will have a wait depending on what is going on with the other patients. I had to wait over a half hour once I got into the chair. Once they get to you then they will do there best to help you. I would say that People’s Health Centers is a very good place to go if you need to take care of basic health concerns. If you are in need of more urgent care then Connect Care is a few blocks down the street if you don’t want to battle Barnes-Jewish. Also PHC will recommend other places to go if you need it. If you don’t mind the wait you’ll get pretty good care that’s affordable and accessible.
