As far as pool halls go, Pink Galleons is one of the best and biggest around. I mean who can’t resist the quirky yet raunchy pirate theme murals all over the walls, the segals hanging from the ceiling, the full bar, and complimentary nacho bar? There’s also darts, arcade games, shuffleboard, and air hockey in addition to the tons of pink pool tables around. They also have food you can order here as well.

Todd is awesome! Best bartender ever! The bar décor is awesome too. Love the tiki looking style bar. :)

So my review got filtered twice… but I will update it as many times as I need to, because I do not think that how I was treated there was acceptable. Also this place is dingy and smells bad. To summarize: they over-charged us for pool(one of us had a text saying«you here yet?» which proves when we arrived — 10 pm). We played till 11, and then they charged us for 3 hours of pool. One of the people in our party told the manager(this girl with pink and blonde hair in a rather promiscuous outfit) that they overcharged us. They said they didn’t, and he asked a few questions calmly. Even though we didn’t agree on the charge, we still payed it… then they kicked all of us out. Thanks for ruining my sister’s birthday… I guess when people are sober enough to catch on to their whole overcharging scheme, they kick them out.

This place is a wonderfully tacky dive bar. The décor fits this place perfectly. I especially love the big whale hanging from the ceiling. They have free pool 2 days a week, and they have a ping pong table in the corner(the reason I go there) that is free to use. They expect you to purchase a drink an hour or something like that, but let’s be honest, who wouldn’t do that anyways. Also on Fridays they have a free nacho bar. It’s nothing fancy, but it gets the job done for something to snack on. My only advice is avoid the shot girls, those shots are overpriced and weak. Get real booze at the bar if you are looking to tie on a buzz.

I visited Pink Galleon last Thursday because my girlfriends coworker was in a Foosball tourney. We knew what we were expecting before we got there because we’ve been a few times before. Not a family place. low lights mostly black light and semi strip club paintings of «pirate» women. Tons of girlie posters in the gentlemen’s restroom. But if you want to play pool and drink cheap this is the perfect dive. ORSOWETHOUGHT. Tons of activities. The called last call an hour early. My tab was $ 46. We only had two beers and a pitcher, plus two vodka redbulls. They have an energy drink on tap so they used that and well vodka. $ 9.75 a piece. They charged us $ 3.75 extra for their rail energy drink. Oh and it was mostly energy drink. We did play pool at the pay pool machine. Dollar a game. We showed up around 11 so we didn’t want to pay $ 10 for an hour. And that charge was also on our tab. i went to talk to the bartender(Brittany or Becky or something like that) about my bill. She seemed to be the manager. Instead of coming over to talk she yelled from the register. Told me I was paying the hourly tables and will be charged. I wasn’t even going to argue about the price of their drinks. She said shed take the pool charge off and came back and said it only took .68 cents off my tab. That made no sense. I was still being charge $ 9.32 for pool i didn’t play. I was done with this place at this moment. I walked away an went back with my friends. This same lady had a fellow patron(he said he didn’t work there but I saw him behind the bar the entire time we were there.) come kick me out of the bar. Not a place I’d go back to anytime soon. I ADVISEYOUTORECONSIDERWHENCOMINGTOPINKGALLEON. NOT A PLACETOBRINGTHEFAMILYORFIRSTDATEORANYOCCASION.

Good for a night of drinks and activities — shuffleboard, pool, darts, video games, air hockey, foosball, ping pong… The décor is silly, like an indoor mini golf course. Go for beers here-mixed drinks are small and poured light.

I had i known that this place allowed smoking, I would not bothered. They’re only a few people playing pool but the smoke was so bad I couldn’t last more than 20 minutes in this place. The tables played okay but the cloth was sustained and dirty. I asked if all the bars in Missouri allowed smoking and the bartender said that they had a special permit that allow smoking in their establishment. I found this place on Unilocal it was the first on the list. I’ll simply have to keep looking for another place to play while visiting in saint louis.

I always tell myself that I will try out a new bar, I will go somewhere different. Yet everytime this is where I end up. I can’t stay away! There is so much to do here, pool(free quite often), ping pong, darts, and the latest video games(although I always find myself playing that damn bartop money eating machine). The staff is friendly…90% of the time, which is more than I can say for most bar/restuarants with high turnover… the drinks are cheap. Everytime my husband and I go somewhere else, we always exchange a glance within an hour and simply say«Galleon?» This is where we end up. We love it here, it is one of the last places we can smoke indoors, as the«social smokers» we are… this is very important to us when out having a good time, enjoying drinks.

A while back, I reviewed this as our favorite hangout. Sadly, that’s all changed. When Patrick was replaced by a nameless, unfriendly, lazy gal as bartender, the joint lost what little appeal it once held. The carpet is still disgusting, the place has had no improvements in the 15 years we’d been going there(I doubt it was ever cleaned in that time), the prices for pool and drinks are still high for a crummy dive, and the clientele has driven us out with their preference for obnoxious rap on the juke box. We’d give anything to find a new pool hall in West County. But now there’s nothing.

Good place to play pool and darts. Think the music is a bit on the loud and obnoxious side, as a non smoker I do not like that this is a smoking establishment but that is just because I dont like smelling like an ashtray. Other that that the staff are always friendly and a good price for the drinks

Martin Rivers had this to say: «I wanna do this! We gotta reschedule! « We had a Great time, even with only 3-Staff members. They did a Good job and kept the service how it should be. I wish they were more proud that they work there, we brought a group in and we always take photos, but the staff did not want to be involved with our group and this I will remember :(I mean we are not Stalkers and they are not worth remembering as far as their looks. What’s the big Deal :(:(:( Amanda, Andrea and the cocktail server Nikki did a Good Job.

People are still able to smoke here. I still think«Blue Oyster» when I think Pink Galleon. I still come here to watch UFC fights, but they have cover for that but everything else is so cheap I don’t really care.

This place is OKAY for a general hangout. If you’re not looking for much. It’s a little dirty, a little smelly, a little skanky… There are plenty of pool tables, but only one foosball table, only one shuffle board table, only one ping pong table, and sadly only one air hockey table. If anything, I wish they had more of these other tables so more people could enjoy a variety of activities. Friends I went with ordered boneless buffalo chicken strips and fries. These items were tasty enough. Warning: Do not wear anything unless it’s time for it to be washed or dry cleaned as cigarette smoke will definitely cling!

Oh man. This place is cheesier than cheesy. But I LOVE it. I came here a few days ago after a fun run through Creve Coeur. There were probably about 15 of us that strolled in – sweaty, hungry, and loud. We fit right in. The bartenders were super nice, the food came out fast(and wasn’t half bad for bar food!), and prices were cheap. I don’t come out to this neck of the woods often, so I can’t say I’ll be back soon. One more thing — apparently, Wednesday nights are free pool nights. Just something to keep in mind.

Ah, the Galleon. slightly dirty, a little run down, still as smoky as ever(somehow they have an exemption on the ban) and with 1980’s style half naked dudes in the women’s room. Just what a pool hall should be. Free darts is usually where you’ll find me when I’m there. The boards and darts could probably stand to be replaced, but. umm. it’s free. They also have electronic dart boards in the arcade section, if that’s more your thing. Free Ping pong, pay to play pool, as well as a shuffleboard and air hockey table — both of which are a little expensive to play IMHO. There’s a jukebox, so you never know what kind of music is going to be played. It’s a pretty popular selection too, so don’t drop a bunch of money expecting to hear your music any time soon. I haven’t tried the food, but the beer seems reasonable. You can get the 100 ounce tower of domestic beer for $ 15. It’s usually full but not packed. Noisy enough to keep up a good Saturday night vibe, but not so loud that you can’t smack talk your friends when you dominate them in Cricket :) No cover unless they have live music that night.

The pink galleon is the perfect divey pool hall with a fun novelty twist in the form of airbrushed underwater scenes, beach décor and pink pool tables. Huge place, good for groups or a just a few friends. Generally pretty quiet place but occasionally it’s busy and loud too. Always a good time at the PG. Buy beer, the bartenders aren’t too good.

I really enjoy this place. Yeah it’s a little dirty inside, yeah the crowd is a little sketchy, and yeah it’s not 5 star service. HOWEVER there are like 20 pool tables, ping pong tables, darts, shuffle board, and foosball. To top it off drinks are cheap and the bar food is decent. Being in the right mood is important, and it’s probably not a great date spot, but if you want to drink, listen to music, and play games, this is your place

This is my fav game place. I’m very competitive so whenever I need to show my beau whose boss we come here. We always start off with ping pong, then move to darts, then air hockey, then pool, then pinball so like I said there’s tons to do. Oh and ping pong is free so you can’t beat that! Best game place in the Lou!!!

Every time that I went by the Pink Galleon and still go by the Pink Galleon the first thing that come to mind for some reason is the Oyster Bar from Police Academy, you know, that one with all the guys. This place isn’t like that though. No, this place is pretty cool. The reason it is called Pink Galleon is because of course the numerous pink pool tables that this place has. The Pink Galleon is actually a fun place to go and hang out. The first time that I went there I had my reservation, but after the first time, all of those reservations went out of the door as I let myself just sit back, relax, and have a good time. Because there is a large number of pool tables, you never really have to wait all that long to play. Even if you do have to wait, it is not so bad because they have a nice large bar where you can hang out with friends and sip on some drinks as you wait for the next available game.

Not a real fan of this chain of pool halls. Super smoky and the atmosphere could really use some improvement. I guess its okay if you are desperate to play pool. Four Locations Open 7 days a week from 11:00 a.m. Considers itself an adult Chucky Cheese.
