Cool vibe if you’re looking to enjoy live music and hang out on a Saturday. Most of the vendors just have pulled pork sandwiches so if you had your heart set on something else, you’ll be disappointed. I saw two vendors serve ribs. We also came in the evening so there may have been more of a selection during the day.

We went to Q in the Lou before a Cardinals baseball game on a Saturday. It was in Soldier’s Memorial Park, a common location for fairs and festivals in downtown St Louis. It wasnt super crowded like some of the events that go on down there, and lines were not that bad except for a couple stands that had about 20 or so people waiting. Most of the dishes were about $ 8 and you got about 4 ribs or a pork/brisket sandwich with a side. There were maybe 15 different BBQ vendors and a section of your standard other vendors selling their products next to a stage that had live music. We tried two different ribs and a couple pulled pork sandwiches, which we had them wrap up to go and we brought them into the game. Everything was really good, and a good pit stop if you are downtown that weekend. A little pricey for the portion size is only reason 4 stars instead of 5.

Fun little festival for BBQ enthusiasts. Good food, good drinks, good music. Plenty of seating, variety of vendors but parking is a little difficult. Beautiful day for this event!

Absolutly wonderful event. Almost every Pit Master available and ready to talk. This BBQ is on FIRESTL. I am so very full, and ready to go back!!! This is how meat is supposed to taste ;). Salt + Smoke had the Best Brisket, Pappy’s for Pulled Pork, Memphis BBQ Co. for Ribs, and Salt Lick BBQ for Sausage & Burnt Ends. Large stage with bands playing around the clock. Pit Masters holding classes. Bars and drink stations easy to access. Plenty of seating, restrooms, entrance points, and trash cans around the grounds. Looking forward to next year!
