We went here as a last minute Mother’s Day treat. The Riesling was spot on and my two dishes were pretty decent but they don’t have local beer or wine from crown valley and I’m a fan. They have this apple dessert thing that is divine. Staff is pleasant and ambiance is very nice and comfy. They have a pit on the patio. Will definitely go again. There are a few more things I want to try.

We went here for the 1st time to try the place out. They have a spacious outdoor seating area with Pier One décor. The inside is also spacious with that small intimate feel. The décor has that mix of casual, romantic, simple elegance yet chill feel. The staff is very nice and accommodating. Our server was Joshua. He was very nice and attentive. He was extremely knowledgeable regarding the various drink and food options. You have to order both the Chef’s cheese sampler and charcuterie plates. They are amazing!!! The Pear 75 was good but my chocolate martini was just OK. The brick chicken and sirloin steak need work in the flavor department. I would not recommend ordering either dish. Our desserts were delicious. The salted caramel pot due crème and apple cobbler were the perfect finish to the night. I would definitely return to try more cocktails and other menu options.

Wandering Webster Groves for the first time and needed a place to stop and have a Saturday cocktail. We met Corey who was one of the best servers I’ve met in any context and provided our group with a solid 4 hours of drink and food recommendations with a complete knowledge of both the menu and adaptation to our groups preferences. I kid you not he literally walked an old lady across the street, which means nothing for the culinary aptitude of the establishment but absolutely communicates an ethical and quality of character standard that resonates through the experience. We will be back, many times. Recs: Baked Camembert, olde fashioned, manhattan, elderflower champagne cocktail, sugared hibiscus cocktail

Absolutely love. The staff is amazing and very helpful. I have not tried their food, but they have a magnificent wine selection.

Excellent food — a little on the light side, but high quality. Enjoyed looking through the wine menu, and the bartender and staff were friendly. It was pretty quiet on a Tuesday night, and was an easy place to chill, have a glass of wine, and enjoy a quiet evening with quality food. Got the Caesar salad and the sea scallops — both were great! If I was looking for a big or cheap dinner, this wouldn’t be the place.

In reality, I would like to give this place 2.5 stars, but half-stars aren’t allowed. So I rounded up because I think I’m not quite their target audience. I go out to eat for food first, drinks are less important whereas the wine is the thing at Robust, the food I think is more there to help you drink more wine. My husband and I went for Valentine’s Day and ordered from a special pre fix menu they had for the occasion– three courses with wine pairings for $ 70. There was a soup or salad, a main course, and a dessert. I don’t think any of the items were on their regular menu. The food was okay, but not notable. Two of the wines I tried were quite good and will probably buy bottles in the future if I can find them. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice and if I’m ever looking for a place to go for drinks I’d be willing to give it another try, but not for dinner.

Overall a really great experience. It was a Friday night so they were definitely busy, luckily we were able to grab a nice table in the bar to enjoy everything. They have an extensive wine list here, some very affordable with some more expensive, notable wines as well. They are most known for their wine flights which are 3 samples of different combinations of reds or whites so you can try them all and see what you prefer. I didn’t catch our server’s name, he was an older gentleman and he was great. Awesome wine recommendations and friendly service. We split a meat and cheese board, just 1 of each – they do have samplers of cheese and meats, I believe you get 3 of each, and it is HUGE! More for a group as opposed to a couple. The iberico and pecorino salami were our choices and they are so delicious. Comes with different types of bread, crackers, and sauces. We then split the filet that came with broccolini and some type of gratin potatoes. It was cooked perfectly and delicious. We tried a new French wine that we had not had before and it did not disappoint. Only down side is that it is extremely loud in the entire restaurant and very crowded with no wait area so we had people bumping into us all night. Either way, we will be back.

Been here a few times. Place is always full. Servers are great. Their charcuterie boards are awesome. Menu is mostly apps, cheeses and small plates. If you like wine bars this place is a must

I love this place! They have a fantastic wine list, a fun and trendy cocktail menu, and even decent beers! The food is fantastic and the staff is beyond great. I love this place! Great place for an intimate date or a relatively large group(8 – 10). Everyone makes sure that you have a memorable and wonderful time — the food, the drink, the staff, the choices, the place. You can even stop in and get a bottle to take home with you!!!

Service was mediocre, cost of dishes for what you get is not reasonable. Server spilled water on one of our party(stuff happens, not the end of the world), entered one dish wrong(blamed the computer system), didn’t check in much or try to chase down slow courses from the kitchen The $ 24 pork tenderloin entrée is three small pieces of meat and smaller than the ~$ 17 steak small plate. Totally ridiculous quantity for the price. Shame on me for not asking ahead of time… Not coming back anytime soon.

I had a horrible lunch here i think the meatballs were off. The homemade potato and Ham soup was awful, ham was cut in chunks as if it came from a can. I was up half the night with an upset stomach and diarrhea. Lovely looking place, but the food was dreadful — never again. What happened at this lunch? other reviews are positive.

Great ambiance. The wine was very good and a very comprehensive wine list! The Baked Camembert was our favorite but the glazed Brussel Sprouts was also fab. Service was pretty good. It was very busy, but they could have used a few more on the wait staff. We will definitely return.

Beautiful environment, exquisite food, wonderful wines, and the most knowledgeable certified bartenders!!! I lived in Saint Louis for almost 2 years, directly above the downtown location might I add. I’ve probably eaten here more than 75 times. I’ve been to Over 100 places in Saint Louis, but Robust was always my favorite. I live in San Diego now and still haven’t found a replacement. My favorites were always the Rapido(Pinot Grigio) and the Spinach and Artichoke Dip. But the cheese plates are to die for, also! I’ve recommended to people who were traveling to Saint Louis over and over again. There have been zero disappointments. If I came back to visit Saint Louis, this is the first place I will go. Love and miss all of you great people!

Went for happy hour as my wife and I traditionally do on Fridays. Sat outside, which was nice. I had to go inside to flag down a server after we sat there for way too long. When she showed up she was super snooty. My wife just wanted a simple glass of house wine. The waitress rolled her eyes and said they didn’t have one. When we asked for a suggestion she condescendingly pointed at the list and walked off. Then she said we have to sit at the bar for happy hour. We drank our drinks and left. If you like overpriced wine and beer served by an inattentive, snotty, art school drop-out, this is your place.

I really like Robust for getting together with girlfriends or lunch. My husband, however, does not like it for dinner because he says the portions are too small to warrant the price.

The peach and chorizo flatbread was fabulous along with the cheese plates. We all enjoyed our flights too. But the band playing wa simply way too loud for such a small place. It was overpowering to our conversation. The music wasn’t all that great either. Parking is difficult in this area of Webster as well. That said it is a place worth going to and they have a nice patio.

We ate outside because it was a beautiful day. It was not a very friendly place, odd vibe. The food was okay, nothing special. Not my favorite. For the money, I’d go somewhere else.

My husband and I decided to try someplace new in Webster and we ended up at Robust. We were seated right away on a busy Friday night. We had the spinach dip for a starter and it was a great appetizer size and had a different spin on spinach dip, but it was delicious! My husband had the chowder and he couldn’t stop talking about how awesome it was. He was excited that there were large chunks of sausage and shrimp in the chowder… he said he’d be back solely on that soup dish! I had the beet salad and the crab cakes and everything was really delicious. The beet salad was awesome if you like beets. The crab cakes(2 in size) were on the medium size with a fantastic aoili. I can’t wait to go back and have a few cocktails with my girlfriends and a try a few more yummy food dishes. The menu is large, but a great place to go with a larger group of friends so you can try everything! The restaurant has a nice and relaxed atmosphere as well. I really enjoyed my dinner here :)

Went to Robust on Fri Dec 5th for coffee and dessert and it had a great crowd and energy. We arrived around 8 and didn’t think we would get a table, but they were able to fit us in. Not a huge dessert list, but we split the Toffee Pretzel Crunch(choc mousse) and it was delicious. Only complaint is that the crunch/crust was very hard to cut into! We enjoy having this restaurant option in town, and we will try the Salted Caramel Pot de Crème next time.

I’m a sucker when it comes to wine bars. I love everything about them… their drinks, bites, and atmosphere… I can’t get enough of it! Robust is another favorite for the books. Last night I visited Robust with 4 friends. I made a reservation for 8:30 through their Unilocal page. It was the earliest one available but we ideally wanted to start at 8:00. We still went at 8:00 and they were able to seat us no problem! We had prime patio seating on a beautiful St. Louis night. I ordered the crab cakes which exploded with flavor. While the dish wasn’t filling it was still Robust with flavor(see what I did there?). Luckily I just needed a bite so I wasn’t too concerned. Since it was Wednesday they had 15% off«wine flights.» Educational moment. A wine flight is 3 half pours of pre-selected wines that compliment each other. I think my flight was called«roll out the red carpet.» I really enjoyed it. A flight is perfect for someone like me who knows they love red wine and is always looking to explore new brands. Everyone I was with a got a flight and they also enjoyed exploring the flights. Robust also had amazing service. It was the whole package! I’ll be back again and hope you enjoy your visit!

I seriously want to come to this place once a week. That’s how much I love it. I came back after many months from my initial trip with Stewart P., and I brought Sean H. with me this time. He didn’t actually eat anything, but I opted for the brie cheese plate, and the humus and pita plate. I also got a red wine flight.(Pinot noir.) I hadn’t eaten all day but this was more than enough food for me! I ended up taking the humus home to eat later because I was just stuffed on the cheese and fruit alone. So delicious. I want to come back here again to get more of their small plates. Great service too, from our waitress, Katie. Also discovered a new favorite red wine from Germany. Yay, Robust! PS: Thursday nights are apparently 20% off wine flight nights. So go get you some! ;)
