SATE performs some of the most original, though-provoking pieces in St. Louis theater, combining various elements of the Viewpoints technique, physicality, and subject matter. I have seen shows from the past several seasons, and can appreciate how the nascent ensemble has matured. They are ambitious and fearless, and usually seek to challenge their audiences as well as provide an aesthetic experience. SATE is a valuable addition to St. Louis arts and culture. I look forward to their next performance.

I’ve seen 3 – 4SATE performances, including two at their theatre across from Forest Park, and it has become one of my favorite things to do in St. Louis! I like to eat at Basso or Mi Ranchito before the play, then get a coffee and go over to watch the performance. They definitely take some risks with their subject matter, which makes it so much more worthwhile and interesting. Plus, they have a changing cast of actors and actresses and wonderful performing space. No one accuses me of being a theatre aficionado, and I almost never give five stars on Unilocal, but in this case it’s warranted.

I’ve seen 3SATE performances, and I loved them all! If you haven’t seen a show, you must, and then you know what I am talking about. I really liked the latest«Nine/Sketch», and the«Cherry Sisters Revisited» in June… Keep it up guys! St. Louis is too small… NYC is waiting for you!
