This place is pretty good! I live around the corner now and decided to give it a try and it was well worth the risk. I had a burger and it was delicious. The staff was efficient, and nice. The food came out quickly, inexpensive, and I was in and out in no time. Will be going back!

I know I shouldn’t get attached to food but man… it feels like a good friend has moved away. We used to love Tamm Ave Grill and would go almost one a week because we loved the food. The unique and mouthwatering burgers, the flagship peppadew lollipops and candied bacon on everything made this place fantastic. We told our friends and family about it and we were absolutely in love. Now that is all gone! They now have a new menu and it isn’t even close to what they had before. Instead of the big unique burgers they had, they now have uninspired 5oz build your own burgers where you are charged for each topping. The peppadew lollipops are gone. Just gone. The candied bacon is now only on the BLT and it is a different type bacon with a maple flavor. They also took away their black bean burger so they no longer have any vegetarian options. Just about the only thing that is the same is the fries. I really hope they bring back some of the items from their old menu. At the very least, they should bring back peppadew lollipops. Until they do, we really don’t have a reason to come back. I’ll have to find another place that will fill the void they have left in my heart.

Appears to be new management and a completely different menu. Got rid of the peppadew pops as well as most of the different burgers. We waited at our table for 20 minutes with no service and decided to leave. Unfortunately it seems that someone took a good thing and made it worse.

I came here for lunch on a beautiful Saturday in February. The patio was open but I chose to sit inside. I asked the server what were her favorite items and she said the Trashed Wings and the Big Boy BLT. I ordered both. Wow!!! Good call on her part. The wings are both spicy and sweet and served with a house made ranch dressing. They were crunchy and juicy… Perfect. And then the sandwich came. A fried egg on top of the most perfect BLT ever… Do yourself a favor. Ask for extra napkins. Thank you Meghan!!! You did not steer me wrong and I can’t wait to come back

Went here for lunch on Sunday, where is happy hour all day. The happy hour is one of the best ones I have been to recently. $ 2 domestics and $ 2 wells. $ 1 chips and salsa or $ 1 chips and queso(queso was less than average) but for a dollar it was worth it. Then there were a few $ 5 dollar options, their plain Jane burger, quesadilla, chicken fingers and I believe a flatbread. Probably the best thing about their happy hour were there $ 1 peppadew lollipops. Absolutely must get these! Candied bacon wrapped peppers stuffed with cheese. Can’t go wrong. The service was excellent. There was only one lady working the bar and she was doubling as the waitress as well. She was very attentive and very polite. The only thing that seemed a little off was the seating. There were three separate rooms. One for the bar with bar seats and tables along the wall. The next room was maybe 6 tables and then the third room was a little bigger. I also think there was a nice patio area out back but it was a little too chilly to eat outside. The owners of tamm ave grill also own Byrd and barrel on Jefferson so the food is quality and they have a pretty nice beer list. I would recommend this place for their happy hours and if you were just in the mood for a good bit to eat.

Waited ten minutes for the waitress to even come to our table. When she did she told us she was getting off in a few minutes so we would need to go inside and order from the bar. That will be my first and last experience there.

We decided to stop here on a pub crawl. First impression when walking in was a moldy/musky smell that hit you like a brick. Figured we would stay to at least check it out because they had dart boards. Service was slow as the bartender was more interested in talking instead of serving drinks. Found out they were in the midst of a menu change so only certain items were available off the menu. Couldn’t get past the smell in the place so decided not to order food. Played a round of darts and sat on the patio for a minute as we couldn’t breathe inside the place. Decided to walk to another bar in the area because of the air in here. Might try again if they get the air quality fixed. Can’t drink or eat if you can’t breathe in a place.

This is a 1 star review after about 4 visits. The first two visits were very«blah» nothing bad or particularly good about the place. My last two visits are outlined below: 1 — A work week lunch with a friend. They previously had a $ 5 lunch special, ½ sandwich and ½ soup or salad. It wasn’t amazing food, it was $ 5 food but sometimes at lunch, that’s all I need. On this visit, we were looking for a cheap and«good enough» lunch. Well they had discontinued the lunch special. Okay fine. So I ordered a sandwich and the menu stated to choose ‘any’ side, I picked the small salad. They didn’t say they’d charge me for the side. The server was nice but the manager did a poor job. We had two unpleasant surprises during our visit but he/she never came out to speak to us, he/she just sent this poor server out to deliver the bad news and deal with unhappy customers. My $ 5 lunch was $ 12 + tip. Not was I was expecting to say the least but it was the way the manager handled it(read: not at all) that I thought was really poor. 2 — A Saturday afternoon on the patio. The patio table and chairs were CRAWLING with ants. I’m not exaggerating. We didn’t see a server so I visited the bartender who might as well have been wearing a shirt that said«I hate you.» She was very obviously not a fan of mine before I even spoke to her. A server did eventually come out, very very nice but unfortunately, might not be cut out for waiting tables. She could never remember who ordered what, even if only two people asked for drinks and the drinks were different. She tried and failed 3 – 4 times to separate our checks, into three checks — not very many. I ordered the chicken salad which I ate because I was so hungry(and didn’t feel like sending my food back) but it was basically like a chicken salad dip or soup. So runny. The two slices of bread were only about .5 inch apart from each-other because the filling of the sandwich was so thin. Looking back, it kind of makes me want to hurl. Lastly, you get a clear impression here that everyone is friends with each other and you do not really belong. It’s a pretty uncomfortable vibe. I’ve tried 4 times total and I’m done. No thanks.

Popped in here on a whim on a Wednesday on their«Celebrity Bartender» night. It was a regular guy, but his friends came to see him. Otherwise, the place would have been dead. Your best bet here is to go with the specials which have great prices. The regular food prices are fair, but the craft beers on tap are about $ 7 a pop. On Wednesdays, domestic beers are $ 2 and a plain cheeseburger is $ 5. I ordered the BBQ nachos($ 10) and they were DYNAMITE. For what it’s worth the«celebrity bartender» was a really nice guy and he did a great job serving everyone.

Well. I left two stars because I had to choose. However, I’m just basing that off the 5 minutes I spent here. I was excited to check this place out because of the of the other reviews. So, I decided a friend and I would check it out for our first time. Walked into the place at 9pm on Friday night looking for food and drinks. There were maybe 4 people at the bar. Nobody was smiling. It was quiet besides the sound of the Cardinals game on tv. I’m a Cardinals fan but nobody in there was even looking at a tv which made it rather pointless to listen to. After not even being acknowledged by a host or bartender, we walked through a hallway which I assumed might be a patio(only because I read a review that they had a patio). Once on the patio, we were greeted by stares of people smoking cigarettes. Still no acknowledgement from a staff member. We left. And more than likely won’t return. I’m sure the food might be good from what I’ve heard. But with the dullness and«no service», nothing tells me I want to risk another awkward moment like that.

One of the kindest bartenders ever! I came during happy hour and the beer kept flowing as I proceeded to order the chicken nachos. While plentiful, I felt it needed a little work as it’s just a little too messy and the tortilla chips just fell apart way too easily. Nachos are my thing so minus a couple starts for that but the service made things all better.

The menu has gotten a lot better recently, I love their fish tacos! The patio out back has a good vibe as well. However, I’ve had horrible experiences with their staff. From forgetting my drinks, to inappropriate joking, to being pretty rude with customers. It’s just lacking that level of professionalism and customer service that you expect from any establishment. I used to hang out there at least 3 times a month, but crappy service just isn’t worth it. Ain’t nobody got time for that.

I came here with my husband to grab a quick lunch on a weekend. It wasn’t crowded at all. I guess we came during an awkward time because one of the first things the server said to us was that the fryer wasn’t hot enough yet(they were switching over from breakfast items to lunch items, I believe). We couldn’t order fries or the peppadew lollipops because they’re fried, but that was okay; at least she told us about it up front. I was a bit disappointed about the peppadew lollipops because it sounds like other Unilocalers really enjoyed them. Oh well… maybe next time? So we both ordered burgers. Mine was the Jamaican Mon(cinnamon chipotle spiced patty, pepperjack cheese, caribbean jerk glaze, and pineapple salsa) medium well with a side of potato salad. My husband got the candied bacon burger(candied bacon, american cheese, caramelized onions, and Tamm bbq sauce) medium rare with a side of mac and cheese. I think I remember enjoying the mac and cheese and my potato salad was average. The problem with the burgers was that our orders were slightly mixed up in that my burger was medium rare and his was medium well. Neither of us were too pleased about this, but we were hungry and didn’t want to send them back to get fixed. Both the burgers were decent, I would say. Good combination of flavors for each burger. Our server was polite, but only somewhat attentive. We were the only ones sitting out on the patio, so maybe it was our fault to sit where no one else was sitting and make it hard on ourselves to flag her down. All in all, my experience here was okay. I probably won’t choose to come here again on my own, but if a friend invited me, I wouldn’t be opposed to giving them another try.

Solid place. The happy hour food deals are really good($ 5 flatbread pizza? yes, please!), and the bartender was friendly and attentive when I went. It was a nice place to relax with a beer after work. My one complaint is that there didn’t seem to be many beers(2?) on tap, at least not when I visited. Still, I would come here again.

This restaurant inside is not as it appears on the outside. You enter into a small bar area with 4 or 5 tables and then the next room is more of a game area with one large table and the next room is the dining area. Past the dining area is their coffee shop. It is definitely larger and more interesting than we had assumed. We all ordered sandwiches and everyone was happy with their choices. The side salad is a good size and the lettuce was very fresh. I also liked their balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Because this place is so close to our daughter’s apartment, we are hoping to return here and sample more of their menu.

I absolutely love this place. It’s another great neighborhood hang out in Dogtown. The burgers are fantastic! Especially the candied bacon burger. I order that every single time I come. The patio in the back of the restaurant is so fun! It’s a great place to hang out with a huge group of friends. Especially when the weather is great. The inside of the restaurant could use a good remodel. But it’s still a great place for locals to hang out and have a beer.

[This review is really 3.5 stars. I just couldn’t yet go full four] I held-off quite a while before writing a review of these guys because the first time I ate here was just after they first opened and I had a pretty«ho-hum» chicken sandwich. Since that time, I’d been by for drinks a few times and found it to be a decent, cozy little spot. But with the launch of their new, impressively-large back patio, it seems a lot of things have changed for the better at Tamm Ave Grill. Last Friday we had gorgeous weather and wanted to stay in the neighborhood, so we decided to give them a try. Once we walked in we didn’t really see any hostess, so we just headed for the back patio where along the way, someone on staff pointed us to a table. Our waiter came over and mentioned that it was his first day, so we were prepared for a few bumps here and there. There were a decent amount of people seated outside, but nothing too crazy. The wife has had good experiences with their Blackened Fish Tacos(originally recommended by the bartender), so she went back to this. I was in the mood for pasta, and at under $ 10 they looked like a pretty good deal so I went with their Cajun Chicken Pasta. When the entrée’s came out, mine didn’t look quite like Cajun, so I tasted it and it was regular Alfredo. The flavor in it was good, but the sauce and everything together seemed to be a bit dry. A waitress confirmed that it was not the Cajun, so they took it back and(rather quickly) returned with the correct dish. I have to say, I was very impressed with this. The sauce was nice and spicy, and the consistency on this one was perfect. Definitely something I’d order again. Service overall was friendly, and drinks were pleasantly strong. It’s pretty great to have so many good food options in Dogtown.

Happy hour here is amazing. $ 4 burgers, $ 1 peppadew pops, $ 5 nachos, $ 4 beers, $ 3 well drinks — what’s not to love? The burger was huge and delicious. The side of Tamm chips were crunchy and well seasoned. I regret not getting more of the peppadew lollipops bc they are mouth-gasm worthy. Plus they have captain crunched breaded chicken tenders, except they must get their tenders from giant chickens because those chicken tenders were ginormous. Plus they just opened their patio which is dog friendly!

Lots of patio space, clean and nice-looking inside, service was great. They had 4 specials of the day in addition to the menu of pizzas(pick your toppings), pastas(pick your toppings), and sandwiches, all reasonably priced. There are definitely several more things I’d love to try on this menu when I come back! We had the fettucine alfredo special with broccoli. It was light and good for an alfredo sauce entrée but could have used a little more seasoning and some garlic bread! :) Then again, I’m a bread addict. I also got a slice of chocolate peanut butter pie(something like that) that was absolutely rich and delicious!!!
