When I came back for my LLM, we were staying in various places throughout St. Louis, which included here. The Charles F. Knight Center is very nice. Unfortunately, it is also very pricey. But, you can’t beat the location. If you have things to do on campus, you cannot beat it because you’re literally on campus. Plus, there is a bar, restaurants, and coffee shop. So, all in all, not too bad. Again though, it is VERY pricey. Perhaps, if you didn’t rent a car, then this may be a less expensive place because you won’t need to pay to get to Wash U each day. All in all, for the price, location, and the hotel amenities, it’s not a bad deal. If you can afford it, give it a shot.

I came here for a wedding and it was a great venue. I’ll break it down by list: Pros: Excellent staff — biggest factor in giving my 5 stars Rooms are clean Pantry — WIN! soooo many different snacks and drinks — unlimited for customers Continental breakfast was decent Wedding venue in the hotel was excellent. Church was in walking distance NFL/NBA channel on tv — sweeet I really wanted to try the pub but it was not open on the weekend. I doubt I’ll be coming back but the advertisement looked enticing. The only thing that was kind of sad was that I had to go eat at the student pub on the weekend. Of course, I could have ordered room service, but that was my choice. But the best part is the excellent staff. Everyone was pleasant, accommodated a few requests and also kept me inform of the weather(snow/hail) and airport situation. I never got the front counter lady’s name but she was definitely earned these 5 stars on Unilocal. I highly recommend it. Not sure what the pricing was because I got a wedding special. Also not sure about parking because I came in on a shuttle from the airport so I can’t comment on that.

The employees really give this a 5 star rating for me. Specifically Bernard. He’s so professional and helpful. The hotel is clean, convenient for on campus events, and our room was spacious and kept up. Can’t ask for a ton more. OH and continental breakfast… I’ve had worst. Stay here if you can.

Came here for a seminar and enjoyed it. The room was comfortable, and each seat had ports for connectivity. The staff at the KC are friendly and courteous, and they always lay out great snacks to keep your metabolism going during those marathon meetings/trainings! The bar upstairs is nice and a great place to meet and network with folks. We often visit here for meetings/trainings so I’ll look forward to the next trip!

I’m a prospective WashU student, and I stayed a couple of nights here at the Knight Center. From what I heard, they only have 60 guest rooms so it’s kinda hard to book. The Olin school has MBA courses and some conferences here, so it’s really busy. If you wanna stay, book early! The guest room has everything you need, basically. The 24-hr pantry is amazing, you can get free snacks and beverages. Well, I guess it’s not free. but. When making reservations, mention you are visiting WashU, you can get a discount. 10 bucks off, I believe. If you are coming to visit WashU, no doubt, stay here! You will love it, and love the campus as well!

What is it you would like to use the Knight Center for? A company meeting for 4 or 40? They will provide you the best meeting space, support for AV and food and beverage in town. It’s not cheap, but the costs are worth it in my opinion. Want to drop by for a business lunch? It’s serviceable for that too. No private elements to this place… just call for a reservation and the dining room is your special lunch spot. Have an overnight guest in town? Use it for that most especially. Best hotel in town. This place is a gem.

Who knew that the Knight Center wasn’t just for the Executive MBAs and for scoring free food if you’re lucky enough to get a class at this building. It’s an absolutely well run event space, too. I’ve known of conferences going on here, but it wasn’t until a couple weeks ago that I found out that this place is a great Wedding venue. The ceremony was held in the private courtyard outside with the reception just inside. These guys were on the ball, to the point that they easily handled putting out an extra table and ensuring there was enough food(cuz seriously, the invites were via e-mail and txt message and nobody knew the headcount) when we were clearly a table short. The food we had was served buffet style and it was all delicious. I already knew the food here was great from said free food classes that I’ve taken here. The big thing of the night was that you could reserve an extra conference room on the side for a quiet room, which would be good for people with babies and whatnot. This particular night was the night Pujols had 8-million RBIs or something and this room juuuust happened to have the game on. About ¼ of the crowd was in there at a given time. Because it’s a part of Wash U, it’s pretty easy to overlook this place. In the end, this place should definitely be a place to consider when having any sort of large event.
