The Curtain Exchange

We hired this firm in 2012 and they are located in Downtown Clayton. The quality of materials, selection and products was excellent. They do custom work for lots of fine homes and condos.
In our case, however, we had a bad experience. We ordered large/​tall blackout curtains for a very big condo bedroom window. We desperately needed the darkess as we run unusual schedules and we also get bright light from parking lots nearby. The curtains looked good, but did not work properly. The installation left lots of large gaps with so much light coming in – I could read the newspaper with curtains totally closed. That’s not blackout.
They sent an installer to look at «repairs.» We then received three estimates to fix the curtains that each were about 50−60% of the cost of the original curtains. That’s not a «Fix.» Recently, I had an separate contractor tell me they should have fixed this. I’ve reached out to the local owner and hope to get remedy. I will change my review if they are able to remedy this issue.
For this type if very expensive and custom service, I expect the vendor to deliver on what we asked… this far, that is not the case.
They also do not take American Express, which is bothersome.
