This is one of the many lovely little parks nestled throughout south city St. Louis. Its essentially one large rectangle with a sloping hill that makes for a mild sledding hill in the winter. Lots of open greenspace and it also 3 playgrounds in a triangle around one another. There is a large one for all kids and then two smaller ones for younger kids. All of the surfaces of the playgrounds have the rubberized threatment instead of mulch or pea gravel. If you live around it within walking distance then lucky for you but if you are in the area and need a new place to let the kids run… check it out!

I was at Tilles a few weeks ago for a run, and it’s pretty safe to say that I love this park. It’s small in comparison to Tower Grove or Forest Park, so it wouldn’t work for long runs(10+ miles), but for runs shorter than 4 or 5 miles, this would work. Clean, safe, and well kept. Lots of walkers and runners alike. This is one of those cute neighborhood parks that has a lot of charm. I’m a fan!

I love Tilles Park for one reason — the doggie water fountain. I haven’t seen one anywhere else in St. Louis, but Tilles Park has a three-tiered drinking fountain sized for adults, kids, and dogs. It’s awesome! The rest of the park is pretty nice, too. It’s a great neighborhood park with a couple jungle gyms, tennis courts, a hockey rink, and racquetball courts. The hockey rink usually seems filled with soccer players instead of hockey, but whatever. It’s not a huge park, but there are several different walking paths you can take and it’s pretty nicely kept up.

Love having a great neighborhood park like Tilles. The city keeps it well maintained and the locals do their part to keep it beautiful. I love the walking paths, as much as my dogs do. It’s amazing how many dog walkers you see in the mornings and evenings. Tilles is just the perfect size.

My neighborhood park serves its purpose perfectly — as a neighborhood park. Nobody is coming from all over to hang out here the way they would a larger park like Forest Park or Cardondelet. But it’s a good place to go for a jog, walk your dog, play basketball, roller hockey, racquetball, softball, soccer, and there is a large childrens playground too. I only really utilize the park for walking my dog, but it’s a great place to do so. Lots of trees, other dogs, and stuff for him to smell and pee on. There’s usually a good amount of activity going on here during the warmer months of the year. The park is upkept very well by the city and the grass and trash are never out of control. People are generally very friendly. The park could really use a pond or a statue or something else to make it a little more interesting, but as it stands it is a good utilitarian park for a great neighborhood.

Yes, there are two Tilles Parks in the Saint Louis area! The city Tilles park is really great, it has everything, a walking/running path, outdoor hockey rink, nice tennis courts, basketball, a nice playground for the children, soccer and baseball fields, and most importantly Racquetball Courts! These courts are my favorite just behind the RB courts at Forest Park. They are really close to my house and are usually not that busy. The condition of the courts is pretty good, the floors are level and usually free of debris and grit. Parking is never a problem, and the park itself is usually busy with softball leagues, and all sorts of families having a good time. I don’t remember if these courts have lights or not so evening play might not be possible. The city Tilles park really has everything an adventurer would want, and if you want to play racquetball, or tennis, Tilles is a super convenient choice if you don’t want to deal with the hassle of an «everybody in the universe must visit Forest Park on a sunny day,» day.
