While she did spend 45 minutes with me, I am pretty sure that amount of time could have been cut down to 10 minutes if she learned to type with more than 2 fingers. She didn’t take a family history but hunt and pecked my answers out on her laptop. She ignored everything I said, argued with me about how I actually felt and whether I should be concerned or not that my hair is falling out! Told me it was not a problem! More concerned about my weight than my thyroid dosing. My problems were not real to her, said it was more than my thyroid medication but upon actually EXAMINING me had to admit that I was hypo from my shaking hands. Gee, guess I’m not a liar after all. I am so disappointed to be starting yet again to find a new endo. Are there any good ones out there? Waste of time and a $ 40 copay.

Very disappointing. I had to switch doctors. She absolutely refuses to take patients’ calls although her office is not that busy. You have to make an appointment and pay for a visit to ask her even a simple yes/no question. Her staff is the same way. Dr. Veronikis makes you come for a visit to give you the order for each blood test, another visit to tell you the blood test was just fine, yet another visit if you have the simplest question. You end up wasting time and paying through the nose for nothing. When I told my primary care physician what was going on, he said this wasn’t right. He called her a profiteer and referred me to someone else I am much happier with.

I have seen Dr. Veronikis for over twelve years for hypothyroidism. She has been incredibly helpful in maintaining stability in my condition. Dr. Veronikis not only is concerned about my endocrinological function but takes great interest in my overall health. She goes into great length inquiring about my activity level, nutrition, and plans for family as it relates to my condition. She does blood testing in the office which is highly convenient.
