Vicino on the Lake

Great place and Great new people!

an update on my experience with vicino. I have been living elsewhere for a month now, and am still dealing with the baggage of this place. I am being charged a gas bill of $ 30+ for a month that i was not living in the apartment. I called the gas company who was somewhat helpful and i also called vicino to try and resolve this issue calmly and rationally. I was given nothing but a bad attitude and sarcastic tone when i spoke to the property manager and my issue has not been resolved. I CANNOT WAIT until i am rid of the baggage from vicino. good riddance!

Do not live here!!! This complex is an absolute dump. I have lived here almost 3 years, only because I didn’t want to move again before buying a house.
These places look nice from the outside. Decent landscaping, etc. But on the inside, they are not updated, old appliances, ugly brown cabinets, ugly brown doors, etc. They do have updated units available, but you pay an arm & a leg for them. Still not worth it.
Maintenance is terrible!!! I still have a closet that is broken & off its tracks from when I moved in 2 ½ years ago. It’s still not fixed! I had a complaint several times about a gas smell. THREE times they came, said I just needed to light my pilot light (seemed irritated that I even called them & didn’t just light it myself). The fourth time that I had to call due to the same issue, a different maintenance man came & said he was shocked that they did that because that was dangerous & I actually needed a new stove! Also, on two different occasions I’ve had a maintenance man come into my home, unannounced, supposedly «by accident», when I hadn’t ordered any service. Luckily, I was not naked or anything.
There is a lot of crime in this complex & I attribute it to some of the rif-​raff that they let live here. Some of the residents are nice & respectable, however some are not, such as 7 people sharing one two-​bedroom apartment, young college kids being loud & throwing trash all over the place, thugs hanging around here & there. A couple of months ago an Imo’s Pizza driver was robbed at gun point right outside.
So, if you think that this place is nice, being that it’s in Creve Coeur. Think again!
Also, the only positive review on here is from the property manager, Rania. That pretty much sums it up.
