I always feel guilty when I eat this food. Initially, the burgers are cheap and tasty. The milk shakes are as good as anything you will order at a fast food restaurant. The fries seem hot and not overly salted. With all of this, I end up ruining my day each time I eat here. The staff are friendly. The restaurant is clean. They have a huge soda machine which allows you to create types of Frankensoda on your own. If you are okay with eating fast food and slowly killing yourself, this is a top notch venue. Otherwise, keep your soul and go to a local burger joint instead of this corporate giant to clog your heart.

Wendy’s welcome return to inner city St. Louis is evidenced by this outlet, in the same plaza as Schnuck’s City Plaza on the northside. It’s not too far from the highway: not visible from 70, but within a five minute drive from the offramp and across the street from a gas station(convenient if you happen to be planning a refuel + snack stop in St. Louis). This isn’t the only Wendy’s restaurant in St. Louis proper, but one of only a few and the only one that’s north. Both dine-in and drive-thru options are offered(the dining room is a comfortable size too, certainly no smaller than you might expect at any other standard Wendy’s). The space is clean and newer, though not with the high-end design that some stores, such as the one in Warrenton, boast. It’s worth mentioning that this location does offer a Coke Freestyle machine to complement the Frosty concoctions, burgers, sea salted fries and chicken dishes for which the chain is known.
