The food at this no-frills diner hits the spot! It’s cheap and quick and don’t tell me that unique building doesn’t call out to you.

Their hotcakes are delicious and the staff are very friendly. They seem to know the regulars by name. Great place for basic diner food.

Rosie & Pat will hook you up with a delicious breakfast that’s a 5 minute walk from The Union Station Hotel. Small diner with seating for 20 people. Service is exemplary

I ordered the super slinger to-go a few weeks ago on a Sunday morning. Nice hangover food :) Nothing special though, it was about what I expected. I thought it was nice that they put the chili in a separate cup with a lid since my order was to-go. They have typical diner food here. And pictures of James Spader and Susan saran wrap or whatever the hell her name is, are everywhere. Since I live in the city I’ll be willing to come back next time I feel like regular diner food.

Absolutely loved this place, people never wanted to go with me because it looked«sketchy». Take a chance everyone is very polite, the service is phenomenal, and the food was great!

Far a small Resturant. Is a old classic Diner. With excellent food from old fashion Grill. And the prices are great. So if your downtown and needing breakfast or lunch. This good to go

I’m not a fan of «greasy spoon’s» but the White Knight Diner is in a class of its own. The customer service is equivalent to 5 star dining actually. They go above and beyond to make sure you’re happy with your order. I like my egg whites cooked plentiful and fresh and on rare occasions when I am accompanying someone on a diner kick; I know I have no worries if White Knight is on the agenda. Note: Closing for renovations Sept. 7th through early October 2015.

Seams like a local’s joint. But they have to be hanging here to talk and the easy going nature of the place. Got the How Bout a Mess, it was greasy, and smothered in American cheese, not my cup of cheese. Coffee was burnt. Biscuits and gravy was legit. French toast can be made at home with white bread in 5 mins. The place was a little dirty, but I guess you get what you pay for, all above mentioned items were gotten with 20 $

Best greasy spoon diner I’ve ever been to. Get the How Bout A Mess. It’s delicious and so filling. Don’t expect super great service, but do expect great food.

Loved this place. This is my first time coming but I’ll come back and hopefully I’ll be called by my name like most of the other patrons. This place is a classic diner with good service and delicious food. One of my new favorite places to eat.

Don’t expect fine dining, but do expect a great diner. It’s a dive but it’s perfectly done. A stand alone building that was probably erected at the dawn of time. Perfect for a quick bite and a hangover cure. Don’t think they don’t care: food is fresh, servers are kind and the place is clean.

What a find! This is an «old school» diner with 3 people working but only room for 2. Great food, traditional short order cook atmosphere. Incredible prices! Thanks for helping me find this place Unilocal

Really good stuff! This is exactly what I expect from a diner. Friendly staff, simple menu, good food. We sat where we could see the grill. I always get a kick out of seeing the cook flatten the ball of hamburger into a patty. :-) I had the chili cheese burger combo(fries & drink) for around $ 9.00. I’d gladly order it again. The chili wasn’t very spicy yet was tasty. My wife got the bacon, mushroom, swiss burger combo. Make sure your table has plenty of napkins. It’s messy but in a good way. There are 6 seats at the counter, 3 two person tables & maybe 3 four person tables. I’ll opt to eat in every time for the atmosphere.

A diamond in the rough. This place seats about 25 people total, but is well worth a wait if you need to. It’s the last of the short order dives with excellent food and service. You can’t beat the quality of food for the price! It might look like a dive, but the Sanitation dept. gives it an A, and when it comes to overall quality, I give it an A+ for perfection!

The food is really good — and really cheap! I’ve only ever had breakfast there. The place place only seats about twenty, and it’s sort of dive-y, but the food and service is well worth it. I would really like to try their lunch sometime because I’ve heard it’s really good. I would definitely go back any day.

I love this place, and will definitely make it a regular stop. It’s the perfect«joint» that has friendly staff who call you«baby,» «honey,» «hun,» «darlin’,» and if you’re lucky, «sugar.» The food was great, and very reasonably priced; especially for a big city like St. Louis!

I don’t expect great service at a diner, but I do expect basic respect. I ordered a turkey club, it arrived with no bacon. I told the short order cook that I believe club sandwiches come with bacon. *they had a turkey sandwich on the menu as well. She said, «no you have to request it. I’m not going to argue do you want it or not?». I get bacon and eat the sandwich. Later another guy rings me up and I ask again«Is a turkey club served with bacon?» His response«No, pork prices went up so we don’t put it on the sandwich». Then take it off the menu!!!

Three stars for the food, plus one for the atmosphere. I never would have walked into the place if I hadn’t seen the reviews on Unilocal. We each had one of the specials — my wife had the«how ’bout a mess:» eggs, potatoes, sausage, cheese, onions, green peppers and tomatoes. I had the«hash slinger,» a delightful mélange of eggs, hash browns, peppers, onions, tomatoes and mushrooms — plus a hamburger patty, and covered in chili. I’m going to pay for it later, but it was so good going down. They have normal food, too. The staff was friendly and courteous. I’ll go back if I’m in town again.

Stewart P. and I came here for a mid afternoon lunch yesterday. I wanted something good and cheap, and trust me, White Knight Diner fits the bill. The restaurant is really small. There are about 10 seats including bar seating and booth seating. It is a 50s style diner. Very simple meals and friendly service. Stewart and I opted for the bar seating near the entrance of the place. I ordered a cheese burger with mayo and ketchup for $ 2 and some change. Stewart ordered a patty melt that comes with swiss cheese and on marble rye bread with steak fries. I stole a couple from him and the fries are pretty tasty. My burger was delish too. It was not a huge burger which I liked. It was just the right size to feed my craving. Stewart really liked his patty melt and gave it two thumbs up. Everything total was under $ 10. I will warn you that there is no public bathroom, so make sure you take care of all your ‘needs’ before you come here. All in all, a pretty cute place. If you want a quick meal on the go, you can definitely find that here. The hours here are from 6am-3pm daily.
