Awesome assortment of Clothing from Japan. Their selection is top-notch and their prices are extremely competitive with other thrift/used clothing shops in the area. I bought a crocheted coffee mug for my mom over the holidays and she loves it. Local artists’ have their work all over this spot as well. I haven’t tried any of their classes yet but would recommend them to anybody looking for a great way to get into making your own handmade goods.

YuMe is a cool new vintage clothing & crafts boutique right in the heart of the hip Cherokee St. neighborhood. YuMe specializes in Japanese vintage clothing, mainly stuff from the 70s/80s/90s. Think Tokyo street-style. Some of the clothes are from actual Japanese clothing companies, while others are just items that were worn/purchased in Japan. The selection is not large, just a few racks for now, but the quality of stuff is high, and the prices are very reasonable. There is men’s and women’s clothing. I scored this cool puffy sweater jacket for $ 8, and a sweet blazer for $ 15. This is a great place to get something with a unique style. In addition to clothes, there are tons of cool crocheted items knit by the co-owner of the store, Angelina. She makes really nice cowls(neck/scarf things) for $ 15-$ 20, as well as mug cozies, cute little figurines, and even knit earrings! Angelina has been running her own successful Etsy store for a while now, check it out to see the types of things you’ll find in the store: There are also other items like coffee mugs and more. If you’re looking for a cool unique Christmas gift, this is the place. The store is owned by Ian and Angelina, a super cool couple from the neighborhood, and nice friendly people to boot. Ian is an artist & musician and has some of his pieces up for sale in the store. There’s a dressing room, and a nice area with a comfy couch and coffee table to lounge on. There’s always interesting music playing. Oh, Angelina has begin to host knitting/crocheting classes in the store. Check out their facebook page for more info & pics: Support local businesses and locally-made items this holiday season!
