First, DONOT expect to get 2 glasses for $ 59 or $ 69 — unless you just need reading glasses. My eye exam + 1 pair of $ 59 frames cost $ 375+ dollars for no line bifocals. I had called to get a price ahead of time — the actual price without«extras» was $ 75 more than the phone quote. Within 4 months of receiving my glasses, one lense began to crack. I LOVED the frames, but they were discontinued. So, time to pick NEW frames. They did honor the warranty, but I had to settle for a pair of $ 59 frames that I really don’t like, but I gotta see– and walking around with cracked lenses makes you look and feel bad. In fact, by the time my replacement glasses were ready in 7 days — the OTHER lens began cracking. VERYVERYCHEAPLYMADEGLASSES. The Optical advisor told me the lens cracked due to over tightening and poor construction by the company. NUFFSAIDABOUTQUALITYHERE. The worst part, is my «NEW» replacement glasses carry NO warranty, That’s only good if your 1st pair of glasses break. I asked if I could take my cracked glasses home — just wanted a mediocre spare if my «NEW» unwarrantied glasses break — crack — etc. The employee told me I could keep the broke glasses for $ 175.00!!! The manager has hiding in back and called me later called and offered me a price of $ 50.00 for the cracked /broken glasses. Let’s make a deal! Ridiculous! I’m taking my current script and ordering a really nice pair online for approx $ 100. I’ll Never come back to this place. BTW– The EYEDR here was like a robot and had all the charm of a DMV Eye Chart Worker. 1st priority chatting with coworkers, never asked how I spend my day — eg– in front of computer, etc. Avoid this place.

I’ve been going here for at least 5 years probably longer. I’ve never had any problems with glasses or contacts. the prices are very affordable and the selection is very nice.
There appointments are very flexible and usually I’m able to be seen the next day. All the cost are always explained up front so there are no surprises. I’ve tried using 1800contacts for my contacts but being part of the contact club actually saves me more money! My doctors are always very thorough and knowledgeable! And explain exactly what is going on with my eyes. If I had to give a negative I would say that the girls/guys working the desk tend to seem extremely busy most of the time so there tends to be a wait at times, but that is to be expected for a place that has a lot of customers. Like I’ve said I’ve been a customer for years and will continue to be for years to come!

I love this place!!! I have eye insurance and this place beats my co-pay and I don’t have to worry about all of the paperwork. The staff was very friendly and the manager even came over to help me pick out glasses as I couldn’t decide between all of the choices! I am sending all of my friends that have paid way too much at other places!!!

They pulled a bait and switch. After my daughter took the eye exam including an additional $ 15 fee for glaucoma testing not mentioned anywhere in their advertising or signage(they told me about it before doing it), and picking out two frames, they informed me they wouldn’t honor the two for $ 99 deal because I had insurance. Yes, because I HAD insurance that would pay the first $ 100. This is insurance that I had shown them when I walked in the door and they had printed out and explained I had $ 100 available for glasses NEVER mentioning they wouldn’t honor the deal even though I was holding the deal in my hand and asked them many times about the deal. The insurance claim is also not in any of their advertisements or signs. The manager, who was dressed like she rolled out of bed already dressed in her work clothes, had nothing to offer but lame excuses. They filed the insurance claim for an $ 80 pair AND filed a claim for the«free» eye exam AND made me pay $ 65 for the ONE pair. The manager claimed they would ONLY get $ 50 for the eyeglass claim so they got paid $ 115PLUS whatever they get from filing for the exam and I got one pair, with no extras like polarized or non-glare, just plain glasses, marked $ 80 when the advertised deal was 2 for $ 99 with a FREE exam. After asking pointed questions for 10 minutes they finally said the insurance wouldn’t pay on a package deal. OK. You’re getting paid more than the advertised price so why not throw in the second pair? Are you telling me the manager can’t look at what they are getting paid and make it right? They can’t discount a second pair for a repeat customer? If they had thrown in the second pair, I wouldn’t even care that they were overpaid, but they got greedy. I would have even bought the upgrades and insurance, which I had already agreed to buy, because I spoil my girls and they break glasses — a LOT. She said, «this is how insurance works.» I’m in the insurance business. I know how insurance works. My request that they honor their deal as advertised wasn’t about the insurance, it was about them doing the right thing when they were already getting paid more than the full amount. Insurance contracts DONOT dictate what you can sell a second pair for or even if you throw in a second pair, they only dictate that they won’t PAY for the second pair. I will add though that the exam was thorough and dead on accurate. We don’t know about the glasses they will produce in weeks but we took the prescription to Lenscrafters and got RayBans for $ 108 in an hour and my daughter was wowed by how well she could see after having bad prescriptions in the past. He was also very nice to my daughter and quite funny. Dude needs to go out on his own. Also, the girl who helped my daughter was excellent and I was very happy up until the payment which is why the 2 stars instead of 1. This was our second purchase there. I have purchased 10 pairs of glasses from various places in the last 2 years but made America’s my first choice after a cash experience that was good. We won’t be back.

Worst experience ever. Got my glasses and the progression line was off, needed t tilt my head back .way back t be able t see The girl started t bend the frames t make sure I could read. By the time she was done. The frames lost their shape, the legs were loose and coming out of my face. Try t ask for a new pair with a correct line so I could read. She was trying t put the frames so high up on my nose I could just see the frames edge. Not helpful at all and try t monimize t issue. End up asking for my money back and heading for my eye doctor. On of those cases were it is better t spend a little more on something I will use all t time.

Didn’t know how bad this place was until I went somewhere better. Apparently I’ve had too strong of a prescription for the last 8 years from going to this place. The other place actually had me test my contacts(3 different sample pairs) until we found the brand that fit the best. At America’s Best I’ve never tested a pair of contacts and never been offered another brand other than their private label. Now that I know how much better options are elsewhere I won’t return.
