When its late at night and the only place open are greasy and fattening, community café is the place to be. The specialty drinky are super unique and you absolutwly must try them all. The books and games they have are charming and they also offer community classes and gatherings. The food changes daily and their staple dishes are super yum and very healthy.

The best vegan and vegetarian food in St Pete. They have a delectable menu with a plethora of options. It’s an easy decision for where to grab food from for a casual date. My boyfriend loves the chicken salad with vegan potato salad, and I love being able to have a complete vegan meal that is TASTY!

The only vegan restaurant open late in St Pete. Great service, friendly staff, and quirky ambiance. Lots of games, vegan and non-vegan treats, and plenty of space to study or hang out. Would recommend to anyone looking for a cool restaurant or vegan food late at night.

Quirky, little artsy coffee shop. Great flavor in their macchiato! Give this place a try.

Tried the vegan tortilla soup, portobello quesadilla, the tuna fish sandwich, potato wedges and the avocado spread. Everything was very good. It was a nice small place to grab some good food and if you want read some books and play games.

Wow! This place is amazing. You have to check them out. I ordered a vegan Tortilla soup and vegan philly cheese sandwich. And it come out awesome awesome awesome! Never had such a great vegan food. I wish I could find a place like this in my home town Chemnitz, which is located in Germany. This place have a great value of different vegan or vegetarian starters, main dishes and sides. Awesome! I’ll be back!

I am not really sure how this café has good ratings I went a few times right after it opened and had terrible experiences the wait times were astronomical the food was subpar in the coffee was not that great. Seeing how it was a community staple and I live nearby I decided to give it a second chance I went back recently and ordered coffee a snack(which took forever) and hoped to hang out and read for a bit but the chairs were some of the most uncomfortable things I have ever sat on(outside) and I didn’t sit inside because the place smelled so weird(in a bad way) and everything was draped with old blankets and looked, well, dirty. The coffee was again, just ok and the prepackaged snack was good but I won’t be returning despite living around the corner. It’s a shame this place is not a bit more put together considering how trendy Central Ave has become and I think being able to check people out and make coffee in under 10 minutes is kind of, necessary for most patrons.

Wow, I’m literally obsessed with this place. When I first walked in, I said«Are you serious?» at least 5 times. In love. It’s a small little land with a few outside tables, inside tables, and comfy couches and chairs for dining. There is local art lining the walls and lots of local handmade goodies and stuff to look at and purchase. I love cool food lands that also have other stuff going on, such as this fabulous café. I was salivating over the menu. I’m a vegetarian and a somewhat selective eater now due to some health issues, so I said«Wow, cool menu» like 10 times. You go up to the counter and order and the wonderful, kind lady with super cool clothes brings it out when its ready. I like informal lands like this too. I wanted to order about 16 things, but I stuck with 2 this time around. There was a pumpkin vegan mac and cheese on special, so naturally, I couldn’t pass that up. But I wanted more. I also got the pesto with blue corn tortilla chips. The pesto was seriously divine. It was a really big portion and it was so flippin perfect. I haven’t had pesto in a while, and haven’t made my own in an even longer time, but this stuff was the bomb. Would go here all the time and eat it all the time if I lived nearby. Next, the pumpkin vegan mac. Yummmmm. It was served with brown sugar and I think walnuts on top, maybe pecans, I can’t recall. It was AWESOME. Every bite made me really happy. It was the perfect balance of everything. They had yummy local beers and scrum ciders available too, that I had to pass by this time. All of the prices were really fair and the atmosphere was so cute and super chill. I told the lady I wanted to move in. I think she thought I was kidding. I wasn’t– I really like vegetarian and vegan food, and I really like cool places with cool couches and art. SO glad my friend knows what’s up and suggested we come here. Groovy spot!!!

I love this place! There’s something for everyone here — vegan, vegetarian, and omnivore alike. I had a tofu panini with bacon tonight and I already want another one. Plus coffee, beer, cider, AND wine. The atmosphere is cozy and community minded. There’s café tables and comfy couches, and a nice outdoor area too. The walls are decorated with local artists’ work, and the folks who work there are friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!

I really like this place. It was a little pricey, but for the quality of the food I was impressed. It’s in a very fun part of town, the food selections are amazing, and the service was really friendly. I will definitely go back

This place is bomb. Just became vegan recently and being able to eat a breakfast burrito with vegan bacon for a change is just what I needed.

My husband and I decided to visit this café for brunch after yoga class. My husband is vegan and they have a little something for everyone. I had scrambled eggs with cheese, home fries, bacon and marble rye toast. I also enjoyed a French vanilla latte. My husband had the vegan French toast with bananas, home fries and vegan bacon with a hazelnut latte. Everything was amazing! Service was excellent and everyone was very nice and friendly. We will definitely be back.

Surly baristas slinging watered down coffee and overpriced sandwiches. The environment was almost worth the tea like coffee until one of the baristas started burning vegetable oil. We left shortly after.

The community café is a definite plus for the neighborhood due to the fact that they are open until at least midnight on most days of the week — 3 am on Fridays and Saturdays. In addition, they make a strong effort to live up to their name by hosting regular music jams, game nights and«Create» Sunday evenings; they also have a tiny little members library and whimsical local art on the walls. While their food is fairly average, their sandwich offerings do include several options for vegans and vegetarians. I’ve tried several that were decent, including the Chicken Salad Sandwich and the Stick it to the Man Sandwich. The tea, coffee and desserts are mediocre, but the space feels a bit like a comfy living room. The staff consists of very friendly, helpful, and interesting hipsters, which results in a regular clientele of the same.

Nice spot. Good people watching from the sidewalk tables. Coffee is decent. Good choices are light and tasty. Just a cool little local business with some character and style. Try the portobello quesadilla.

Vegetarians and vegans take note of this little place! My usual DTSP hangout was a little too hectic for me recently, so I had to find another option for coffee/snacks nearby. I had bookmarked Community Café a while back because of the crazy nighttime hours. Open until 3am sometimes? Sign me up! The clientele ranged from tatted and pierced punk rock types to hippies and a dude gaming on his laptop… To me, braiding fake hair that night. So, I made my order — a large latte and a chicken salad sandwich. A couple minutes later, my drink showed up. Shortly after that, my sandwich. I’m going to be honest, I’m incredibly biased against sourdough. I was pleasantly surprised at the bread though — it looked pan-toasted and I really liked it. The chicken salad had a mix of grapes, walnuts, and dried cranberries in it. It wasn’t overly mayo’d, and was just a little sweet from the fruit. It had a small pile of corn chips with it too. I would definitely order that again because it wasn’t massive and it had a nice flavor profile. The coffee was pretty solid too — it didn’t have any weird bitterness going on and the milk wasn’t scorched. Gerardo’s caprese salad looked delicious too. All thumbs up on the eats here. I was also really thrilled to see all the local artwork on the walls and mini art things for sale all over the place. I could definitely see this being a place to pop in for affordable art for gifting. While we started out at a regular table because we were eating, I eventually relocated to one of the comfy sofas and commandeered a corner of the café to work on my weird hair thing since it was a little slow. I got to chatting with the owner, and I have to say, she’s a total bad ass. She seems to have a lot of great ideas(like the«speed friending for movie buffs» event I saw coming up there) and wants to great a true community. Businesses like these are rare, and much needed these days. I’m sure I’ll be back again!

I enjoyed the food at this café and appreciate what they are doing here. The pesto was definitely the highlight of my meal. I believe they use cashews in it? Whatever they have done with the pesto, it is real, and it is serious. The servings were larger than I anticipated and I enjoyed the meal, as well as the table art.

The food was good, but was too much $$ for the size. My girlfriend and I asked for a salad because we’re avoiding grains and beans, but there is no salad on the menu and every dish has legumes and/or grains. I am confused because if it’s marketed as a healthy café and you have the ingredients to make salads… why wouldn’t you put salad on the menu? The woman working the counter was very nice and said they would put their chicken salad on some spinach and give us a side of cherry balsamic. The total was $ 17! For two salads? That’s high for two salads, and it was literally a handful of spinach and a scoop of chicken salad. Granted the chicken salad was really good and the cherry balsamic reduction was killer, but I was choking during the meal on the price. To charge $ 17 for that amount of food is a sign of arrogance and customer depreciation. This would have been a 4 star review if each salad was $ 5 flat, and considering the portion we received, they still would’ve made a nice profit.

I’m going to review this place with never having tried the food, because I honestly think this is going to be one of those places that people go for the atmosphere and the food will be an added bonus if it turns out to be good. I stopped by, because I belong to the Yoga Studio next door and had some time before my class. I just ordered a green tea and sat down to waste time on my computer. They have tables and chairs and also couches. The couches are a smart idea, because it adds a communal element to the café. All the couches were taken when I was there with people doing work and chatting away. The people who were there all seemed like the artistic/creative type. This place definitely attracts the younger hip crowd that this area is beginning to attract. I like the fact that it is open late. It sometime smells a bit like smoke, because of the cigar place next door. I was worried that they allowed smoking inside but was assured that they do not. I do think this place is going to become a popular place for people to hang out. St. Petersburg needs more independent type hang outs. I hope to try the food soon and I will review that once I do.
