Such a gem of a place if you are looking for casual, on the water and awesome food!!! Come by land or water. Just know that on the weekends this place rocks so it’s jammed. It attracts people of all stages and ages and even welcomes well behaved leashed dogs. It has an island feel to it and is totally outside. They have lots of covered tables and fans. I have always been comfortable. I am hooked on their smoked salmon. They smoke the fish in house and it has the best flavor. Other hits with me have been the fish tacos, grouper sandwich and nuggets, oysters, shrimp and crab cakes. I have always been happy with my order except once. The server was quick to make it right. Friendly and attentive staff on my visits. The market has an excellent selection of fresh fish if you want to take home and play chef.

OOOOOOOOOOOOK, we somehow stumbled upon this joint on opening weekend in April. There was a HUGE ass crowd, tons of waiting, a live band, insane amounts of boaters pulling up and so much activity, you couldn’t find a place to park. We almost said no way and went somewhere else, but we managed to snag a spot just off the busy highway in the grass and decided to stay. My dad got us some beers at the bar and we ended up with a prime seat outside at a picnic table. We ordered basically everything off the menu. I looooooooooved the conch fritters and my hubby had grouper sandwich which he devoured. I dove into some grouper bites that my spoiled ass kids wouldn’t eat and overall, we were all thrilled. I would DEFINITELY go back. It’s like they bring a Jamaican vibe right to Florida and with all the action of the day, I wish my kids were at home, so we could have indulged a bit further. This is great for tourists AND locals and with the fresh seafood, a must try. Love the outside tiki bar and all the fun music.

The snow crab and chips with mango salsa were great, and the fried calamari was as well(my first time trying calamari)! Service was pretty slow, especially for a weekday afternoon, but we weren’t in a hurry. Nice outdoor patio on the water, and a good atmosphere for a casual lunch.

My husband and I came here after reading the good reviews. We were extremely disappointed. The food wasn’t bad but it wasn’t anything special. The conch fritters was over cooked and bready. The ambience was cool and the waitstaff was friendly. But as far as food is concerned, not worth the trip. My husband had the grouper sandwich and said it was ok. My crab bisque was not bad but not very flavorful and lacked a good consistency and texture. It did have a lot of crab in it though. My husband who could care less about food said that Joes Crab Shack was better. I’m not a big fan of chain restaurants but I couldn’t agree more. First time being let down by Unilocal

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while and thought why not today, my friend thought it would be packed since it is Memorial Day, but we got a great table. Parking can be tricky, but they have an extra lot — it just requires a little walk. We sat under the shade right behind the seafood market with awesome air blowers and a good sound system playing music. Most tables are picnic tables and some are in the shell/sandy area. All have a view of the water where you can see boats coming and going(you can come by boat). There is a tiki bar over the water too with another bar and additional seating. Great find and we will back. We shared conch fritters, which were so yummy and included home made chips and a spicy dipping sauce and fish spread. I got a fresh(in season) soft shell crab sammie — so good. It came with a tropical slaw that had pineapple in it and more of the chips. My friend had grouper and another the fried shrimp basket. They have a good selection of bottled beers and mixed drinks. They fresh squeeze all the juice. They use Martin’s potato rolls for the sammies which is another bonus. I can’t wait to go back and turn more folks onto this place. Enjoy!

Lobster mac is fantastic. The seafood market has so many great things that you cant find anywhere else. This place is legit. Try the smoked fish spread, smoked salmon app, lobster bites. Try everything. I’m so glad to see this place back up and running. The tiki bar has a great view of next door where you can watch the dude brahs and tramps stamps rage out to their EDM.

This place was recommended and didn’t disappoint. Yummy lobster Mac and cheese, crab cake and lobster bites(highly recommend). Tiki bar is nice too. Stop in for a drink and eats on way to St Petes beach.

Stumbled across this place just in time for a killer sunset. Enjoyed it so much we came back the next day for lunch! Extremely dog friendly, which was crucial since we were traveling thru and had our pup. Staff is really friendly, food was great(must try the fish tacos!), and everyone made sure the dog bowl was always full. Helpful deck hands while coming by boat was a plus, as well as all the good tunes coming from The Getaway next door. Overall great experience and look forward to returning!

I had such a great experience at this bar. We went early on Wednesday afternoon to beat the Gandy traffic. There was plenty of seating available facing the water. We even saw a dolphin! The staff was very friendly and helpful. They gave us great recommendations. We started with the grouper nuggets(absolutely delish!) which came with homemade chips. My boyfriend had the burger which was great as well. I ordered the iceberg salad topped with grouper. The grouper was very well seasoned and the veggies were fresh. Can’t comment on the drinks since we just ordered domestics. But next time I would love to try their mojitos!

Fabulous seafood, super friendly service and reasonable prices. The view is nice too. We tried the little neck clams which were sweet and delicious, oysters — very fresh, fried lobster bites(a bit salty) and couldn’t taste the lobster very well. Salmon, grouper and home made chips. Everything was good and our servers were awesome!

Beautiful waterfront view with palm trees, it’s paradise. I got the stone crab claws which was served with a mustard based sauce. They were great but not cracked too much. They did give us a hammer but I’be been to other places that do more of the work for you. At the end of the meal they came around with their Florida Dreamsicle orange & vanilla ice cream. It was both juicy and creamy and perfect for a hot day. Very chill place, you sit at picnic tables

This is a nice little hidden hideaway literally 5 mins from my house. It is right on the water and has a really beautiful view. I was feeling ballsy and started with an oyster shooter, vodka, horseradish and an oyster. The waitress politely tried to warn me. Lol, she made a comment about loving oysters but didn’t see how people were able to do the shot. I should have listened. It was soooo nasty. I hate the taste of alchohol. I was expecting it to have more spice, kind of like a bloody mary. My better half had a shock top. I tried it and thought it was refreshing. We ordered two dozen oysters, 2 ahi tuna sashimi trays and an order of peel and eat shrimp. We were conversing for almost an hour and having a great time before realizing that we hadn’t gotten our food yet. My bf went looking for our waitress but couldn’t find her. He spoke with another server who told us that the kitchen never received a ticket. When we found our waitress she played it off as if she couldn’t believe thst we hadn’t gotten our food yet. she could have just told us that she totally forgot. lol, it was no biggie though. They definitely made up for it and we we were satisfied. Before leaving I ordered ordered frozen sangria. Omg it was so delicious. Being that this is so close to home, we will definitely be back. Delicious food and fun atmosphere. Everyone was so friendly.

I.C. Sharks is my tiki bar spirit animal. If you want a place that has that island feel, love the water and Florida weather then go here. If you’re a square, don’t. It’s a «hidden» gem. Everyone that goes there is so nice, how could you not be in that environment. The food is deeeelicious and living in Florida my whole life I can tell whats fresh and not(psst, it is fresh), they have fans outside when its hot that keep you very cool. The bad reviews are by Unilocaler food critic wanna be’s that have no life. If I had to rate them as a person I’d go –2 stars off the bat for trying too hard, your peel and eat shrimp were messy? It was busy at 6:30pm on Friday? No s&*%. One star because they wouldn’t make you something that wasn’t on the menu? OHTHEHORROR! Oh yea, the restaurant! GOTHERE or you’ll regret it. Get off your butt, come on, stop reading and go!

Located on the water and very casual, relaxing environment to grab a drink and eat a couple of apps. My husband and I have been here a few times and we prefer to come here over the Getaway next door, as the service is better and they serve fresh seafood. We came here most recently a couple of weeks ago after work on a Friday and ordered the smoked fish dip to share and I ordered a blackened grouper sandwich. It was fresh and cooked perfectly. i got chips on the side. The mixed drinks are strong and the prices are comparable to what you would pay at a beach bar in St Pete. A lot of people come here after work dressed in their business attire but this is definitely a casual meet up place. The market attached is wonderful as well and sells fresh seafood.

Finally got to come back and have some amazing snow crab legs! Sweet succulent meat slides out of these babies! I’m not a fan of dipping it in butter, just let me crack them open and pull out the meat! The first time I came here they were sold out of crab legs. Washed this goodness down with a mojito with fresh mint and top shelf rum and a rum runner! Rum runners can be either frozen or on the rocks. We ordered the grouper nuggets and the mango salsa and chips for appetizers. Amazing and fresh! Man I can’t get over those grouper nuggets! I want more! And the mango salsa was fresh and juicy! Any type of chips and salsa is like crack to me! Addictive and dangerous! Loved coming here and sitting outside, even on a windy day. Can’t wait to come back and try more deliciousness! A meal with an gorgeous view of the bay!

We were fans before. Not happy when the restaurant closed. But then today(after speaking with the crab guy, Kieth) we were happy again. Then the mgr. said to serve us crabs(that they sell) would be too labor intensive to clean up. Are you kidding me? I was willing to pay over $ 200. Oh well, we live close, but never again for patronage.

We went there after some friends suggested we try it. Sure enough we were not disappointed. Great place to go on a Friday night after a busy week. Everything we ordered from the calamari to the blackened grouper were delicious. We sat outside and there were some mosquitos but that didn’t affect how we felt for the food and atmosphere. Nothing some mosquito repellent can’t fix. We will be back!

The menu has a nice selection on it, everything is a bit expensive, but then you’re on the water and can pull up your boat to the dock and park to go eat and have drinks. The area also has a boat ramp space where the kids like to play in the water. Outdoor seating and sandy beach type areas. Busy place with lots of people, large bar area, and tall tables with umbrellas. The drinks were also kind of pricey. The reason for 2 stars is the service is extremely slow. We were there about 2 hours and had to leave to catch a flight. In that 2 hour time frame I think we received 1 drink refill, soda’s and alcohol drinks, and we ordered a lot of food, including appetizers. The server kept coming around apologizing for the slow service on drink refills and our food not coming out. Eventually we had to leave and cancelled our food order, paid for the few drinks we were able to be served, and left. The food looked good and we were hungry and had to fly out on empty stomachs, so we were not happy travelers, ha. Drinks were OK, food is so slow it’s unknown, and service was horrible.

I love this place! The food is absolutely delicious, super fresh and well presented. Unfortunately they are«temporarily closed» Apparently building the deck over the water is not permitted. Would of thought some over paid idiot would of considered that before doing so but…

Three of us came here for lunch on a Monday afternoon. We had plenty of tables outside to choose from and were greeted promptly by our server, Katherine. She was very friendly and brought drinks to us quickly. We shared one pound of stone crab claws(3 jumbo claws), tuna sashimi on a bed of seaweed salad with a sweet soy sauce on the side, a dozen raw oysters with horseradish and cocktail sauce, 3 mahi mahi tacos with homemade chips, and a cup of the seafood chowder for me. I didn’t care for the sweet pineapple mango salsa that came on the tacos, but my cousin and husband liked it. Stone crabs, tuna sashimi, and oysters were fresh and delicious. Their seafood chowder is a tomato based soup that I really enjoyed. We sat by the water with a nice breeze in the shade and had really good seafood, what more could you want?

This place was awesome, we happened to walk into the fish market and the nice guy basically gave us a tour of the property. We ordered oysters and crab cakes and they were delicious! It also has a beautiful view.

An absolute must for tourists and locals alike. Located off of the Howard Franklin, it is pretty easy to get to from anywhere in the bay area. I have never eaten here, but love to have a drink in the laid back atmosphere. Did I mention it was ON the water? Yep, no need to hit the caribbean or deal with insane traffic to the beaches, you have ITALL at this tiki bar!

I like I.C. Sharks. The fish market is well stocked and the staff helpful. You can also grab a drink or a bite at their tiki hut, although Pinellas County is trying to crack down on it. Don’t ask me, apparently businesses having a nice spot on their water is a problem for Pinellas bureaucrats. I do think the market could up their regional and local producer offerings and phase out some of the regular grocery store quality products with preservatives. Only the best!!! Check out Big Ray’s on the South Tampa side of Gandy while your hitting the seafood circuit. ;) ;)

I ordered the blackened grouper sandwich and it was delicious. You can order it blackened, grilled or fried. It comes with housemade chips and coleslaw. The chips weren’t fresh but they were still okay. I can’t comment on the coleslaw because I didn’t eat it. I also ordered the calamari and was not a fan. They did not come as I expected they would — rings and tentacles. They were almost like chicken strips. I also didn’t like the flavor. The service is why they are getting a 3 star from me. We were up on the second floor bar and our server seemed annoyed that she was having to serve us. She came over once to take our order and even then she got my friend’s order wrong. Someone else brought our food over and we had to get up and walk over to the bar to ask her for more water. We also had to get up and ask for our check.

Excellent place to just sit back and relax while the sun sets. Tonight we caught a rainbow, which made it an extra special night. We sort of all joined in on meals to share. No one was disappointed — smoked fish spread, wings, seafood gumbo and the wedge salad with shrimp! We have been here several times and have yet to come across a server with an attitude, which is a major plus for me — but, how can you come to work in this atmosphere and be in a bad mood? ;-D I would suggest always having the smoked fish spread — it is fantastic and a great way to start the night!

We came here for lunch and had an amazing time. We prefer going here compared to the business next door because they have the best and freshest seafood to eat! It’s lobster season so we ordered the lobster and shrimp quesadilla that was so fresh and delicious it makes me want to come here to get the rest of the other lobster items on the menu. The peel and eat shrimp was awesome, cooked perfectly! The service was great and enjoyed our time here. Looking forward to coming back!!!

IC Sharks is a tiki bar and fresh seafood market located off Gandy next to the Getaway in St Petersburg. IC Sharks has boat slips where you can dock your boat and visit for a bite or a drink. They have great low prices and fresh locally caught fish. They have good oysters, fish spread, and an amazing grilled blackened grouper sandwich. On Tuesdays, IC sharks offers $ 2 fish tacos, $ 2 coronas, and $ 2 chips and salsa. They have a large tropical drink selection that includes pina Colada, rum Runner, strawberry daiquiri, mud slide, sex on the Beach, may tai, margarita, and mojito. You can also rent a boat through them. There is parking available onsite. This is a nice cheaper alternative to the getaway next door. Our server was quick and attentive. Décor was tiki Key West style. There is parking available onsite. Will come back again. Thanks! :)

Why 5 stars? Because this is the best grouper sandwich I’ve ever had. — — — I’ve always just gone with the super touristy route when I’m on the hunt for a grouper sandwich. It usually only happens when I’m at Clearwater Beach when family and friends are in town, and Frenchy’s always works out. But I’m happy to report that I think I can do better from now on. The grouper sandwich from I.C. Sharks is on a whole ‘nother level. I’m not sure what it was, but every bite was perfect. Maybe the fish was fresher. Maybe the cheese was better. I’m not really sure what it was, but I can’t wait to visit again. On top of the grouper sandwich, our other fixins’ were equally impressive. From the coleslaw, to the chips, to the smoked mahi mahi fish spread — it was all phenomenal. Way to go I.C. Sharks! Also, a good FYI: if you enter in the seafood market and are wondering where the restaurant is — we were lucky to have employee there to guide us back. If that doesn’t happen for you, just walk through the doors in the back of the market, and you’ll find a couple of different seating options(inside or out) just around the corner from where you entered.

Headed to I.C. Sharks for dinner after scouting out the local Unilocal scene. The menu was underwhelming but the view was magnificent. Tried the special(lobster quesadilla) and smoked salmon plate. Both were good, just good. Parking is crazy, it’s on the beach and pretty unpredictable as far as large divots and pits. Just a warning– make sure you drop anyone who might have a hard time navigating the terrain off at the door.

Nothing to complain about here — great food, a nice spot to view the water, without going all the way downtown St. Pete. Prices are good, plenty of options on the menu, yet simple enough you aren’t overwhelmed. Our server was very good; friendly and attentive. Will be back!

Stopped by I.C. Sharks for lunch today and was impressed with the fresh seafood selection and reasonable menu prices. My husband and I ordered a dozen oysters and the sriracha tuna tartare. Both were great, but my favorite was the tuna tartare. We were served an extremely generous portion of diced raw tuna mixed with sriracha and scallions for only $ 12. What a bargain! We enjoyed sitting outdoors in a shady spot with our fur baby. Cold beer, fresh seafood, cheap prices and waterfront views make this the perfect spot for a casual meal! We will be back soon!

Eating at IC Sharks reminded me why I live in the Tampa Bay area. There are a couple booths inside, but the reason to eat here is to eat by the water. Preferably around sunset. Don’t worry; the waitresses have bug repellent spray if you forget to put it on before coming over. The seafood is awesome. It’s stone crab season, so that’s what we got. The waitress recommended the jumbo sized, but curiosity dictated that we get the colossal. We got three very large claws for $ 45. They were perfectly sweet and tender. You definitely don’t need the mustard sauce, the crab with just a little lemon is perfection. They also make a great grouper sandwich. Our server was very sweet and attentive. We will return.

Bait and tackle shop… never, ever would have gone here if I hadn’t seen Steve E.‘s review. On Gandy, just after you cross the bridge from Tampa to St Petersburg. Don’t try to park here, park at the beach just to the east. One of the nice things about Unilocal… driving by. I probably would have just gone to the restaurant next door. So, it’s not an extensive menu but the Grouper sandwich might have been the best one that I’ve ever had. Moist, flavorful. delicious! The Wedge salad was tasty. Lisa ordered the Blue Crab sandwich and was a bit surprised to get a whole soft shell crab. she wasn’t enamored with the«crunchiness» of the soft shell and the bartender quickly saved her with a Grouper sandwich too. No muss, no fuss. So, we had one«blackened» and one«breaded» Grouper sandwich. they were both great. This place gets bonus points(extra star) for atmosphere. Sit in the bar area, it’s a floating pontoon dealio and the view is great. We almost sat on the shoreline at the tables but the view is significantly blocked. Very good service and very friendly. IC, you’ll see. we’ll be back.
