Fresh, inspired sushi, with the best tea I’ve ever had. The small café atmosphere contains an unexpected sushi menu focusing on creativity and unique rolls. This is my and new favorite sushi spot in St. Petersburg. The husband and wife owners are so incredibly friendly and seem to truly care about delivering the highest quality of ingredients at an amazing value. My 2 favorite rolls were the New York Roll(salmon, tuna, crab, coconut, salmon roe) and the Heat Roll(salmon, avocado, cream cheese, jalapeño). Recommended for take out, don’t leave without trying the tea.

My wife and I just had lunch, What a special spot! Great fresh sushi! I’m going to throw it out there it competes with hooks on 4th. For all you Crossfit junkies, they have great teas for protein shakes.

Great selection of sandwiches and teas. And the best cheese grits I ever had. Menu has something for everyone. Everything tastes fresh and the combinations in the sandwiches are excellent. Love that they renovated an old building for this place. Cool vibe. Plenty of parking.

This place is ABSOLUTELYAMAZING. After eating sushi at many many restaurants around the US, I can say this is truly some of the BEST&MOST fresh sushi I’ve ever had! Upon first bite you can taste the difference. Stopped by for some sushi while in st. Pete and we will both come here every single time we are here without a doubt!!! The owner is an absolute sweetheart. All of their tea is imported from his wife’s family in China. I would give this restaurant 6 stars if possible!!! A must try!!!

Holy mother of pearl! I Unilocaled this place and it was better than my expectations. Super cute and casual place one of the owners came up to us and was super polite! I’m from Ohio and went here while on vacation. If you have a huger for sushi and are in st. pete don’t bother going to another place. This is my first Unilocal review so that’s how strongly I feel

This place is fantastic! I try to eat here at least 3 times a week. If my budget would afford it, I would eat here every single day. Best Sushi by far. Good prices and super friendly staff. Try the Ming Ming roll, the sashimi is the freshest and the different variety of teas can help everything from pain to a upset stomach! Kudos to Ming Ming!

Great little place for sushi! We live right down the street and love coming here. Although we’ve only gotten food togo, we’ve always had a great experience. We usually have beer or tea while waiting and strike up conversations with the employees. They’ve all been friendly and knowledgeable. We’ll be back soon to dine in!

The prices are amazing!!! So good for so little. Found my new jam. Wooot !! Rolls were great. The service was fast and friendly. The chef was helpful. Not just good sushi they have a very good tea selection as well. Place is not big but that is part of the charm. Why go to fastfood when you can eat healthy for the same price?

We are from Iowa and were looking for a sushi place and this place did not disappoint! It was fantastic service and wonderful food! The Mexican Roll was my favorite, it was just spicy enough and I can’t remember all the other rolls we enjoyed.

Stopped by this café mid-day to grab a boba tea. I ordered a taro milk tea and my friend ordered the red bean tea. Overall both teas were good, not super sweet or creamy. The owner said they use real milk in their teas which is a good plus compared to other tea places that use cream or half-n-half. Though, the owner mentioned the tea aspect is a very small portion of their business; the«main part» is the sushi. I will have to try it some day, but his attitude about the milk teas was a little off putting. He seemed very disinterested and not very helpful when my friend was having trouble ordering. I imagine they have better service otherwise, but I probably won’t be stopping here for a milk tea solely again.

Really good sushi at insanely low prices. I’m guessing this is more of a takeout and/or lunch place, because I went at around 7pm and the place was empty, but if I lived near here I would be at this place all the time — three high-quality sushi rolls for $ 10 is almost unheard of. I got the spicy tuna, salmon avocado, and salmon mango, which were all very good. Others got special rolls, sashimi, etc, and there wasn’t a single item that didn’t look like it belonged in a way more expensive place. I didn’t try any of the tea or smoothies, but if those are good, that’s basically just a bonus. Highly recommend this place.

Cute lil tea, boba and sushi place. You can get your sushi order with black rice. The block includes some trendy and fashionable stores and Alesia restaurant. The owner was helpful and eager to share info on the tea origins and purported nutritional qualities and health benies. There’s a British estery and pub next door. Definitely a fun and interesting place to check out.

Some of the best sushi I’ve had in St. Pete. It’s so fresh — and absolutely delicious. We had the Ming Ming roll and the Tempura Monster. They were really large rolls too. And their iced tea was stellar — random I know but it was just really good.

MingMing’s Café is a very quaint sushi/tea café. I had the #3 which included 6 pieces of sushi and 6 pieces of sashimi for about $ 8, which is very fairly priced. I also got the Sea Creature roll that had avocado, tempura crab, and salmon, drizzled with eel sauce which was also around $ 8. The flavor of the sashimi and sushi was very fresh with no indication of being previously frozen. And the tempura shrimp was extremely crispy and so delicious. They also provide a complimentary tea of the day and the tropical mango they had for the day was very refreshing and paired well with the fresh sushi. Lastly, I had a slice of green tea cheesecake which was excellent as well. The service was great and the owners were very kind. The shop also sells tea pots and assorted bottled beverages including ramune. The atmosphere is very inviting and comfortable.

Ming Ming Tea Café, located next to the restaurant Alesia in a strip mall, sells all kinds of teas from all over the world as well as accessories. They also offer sushi and desserts. I ordered a mango boba tea. The taste was good and the boba was the right texture but I was kind of surprised that they used powders for their boba tea, instead of the real thing since that’s what they specialize in. So it was a little bit of a disappointment. I guess I was expecting to have tea that Ming Ming herself picked out from high above a mountaintop in China. Maybe that’s only with the hot teas. Oh well… The café is clean — nothing fancy — plenty of seating and like I mentioned, all kinds of teas and tea accessories to check out. The service was above average, the prices low(note that it’s cash only under $ 5). Worth checking out if tea is your… cup of tea.

I went in for a pick up lunch, and picked this place because it had boba as well as sushi! The reviews are all pretty good, so why not? First the place is bright insidr and the cashier was very nice. Offered me to make my drink first so i can enjoy while i waited for them to makr my sushi. I got the mango smoothie boba and it was pretty good. This is NOT a fresh fruit smoothie but it was still good. Thr boba was chewy and sweet. There sushi was pretty good, rice was fragrant. Tasted fresh. The green dragon roll was my favorite, very clean tasting and the friend onions were a perfect touch. I never had fried onions on a sushi before. The rolls are rolled a little looser then how i like mine to be wrapped. The hawaiian roll? It was also very good flavor to it, I would recommend! Only 4 stars because it wasnt the best i had and it was by no means worst or even bad! Boba was a plus. Please dont be the lady who asked if they have salad…

I had their Boba and one of their sushi combination dishes. The boba was tasty and enjoyed the strawberry flavored milk tea. The sushi was tasty except for the Tuna Nigiri. It did not taste like the Tuna I am use to in sushi. It was a lighter color and not as tasteful. It might have been frozen too long or something. Other than the tuna, a great experience with a nice environment. I will probably be back to try more of their items! Note: It is kind of hidden as you drive along central and is next to Britannia Arms(the British pub).

This place is a hidden gem! The location is kind of far from everything and I wish it was closer DTSP… But well, I tried it and I loved their sushi! Really soft and delicious. I had Salmon-Mango and BBQ Eel sushi, and Miso soup. I also liked their Honeydew Milk tea and Mango Milk tea with Almond Milk. Pros: — Their sushi are really fresh and juicy(no dryness going on, no frozen fish) — Prices are really good — 2 sushi rolls(16 pieces) for $ 7.49 — wow! — DELICIOUS!!! — Tasty Boba teas for $ 2.99. They offer almond milk if you do not like dairy milk — Nice seating, plenty of tables — The owners are very friendly and nice — Parking right in front — They also sell tea, cups, etc. — Their Miso soup was cheap and so good! Cons: — Boba teas were little too sweet for my taste. I would get half sweet next time. I always order half sweet but forgot to do it this time. Update: Boba tea prices went up to $ 3.49.
