I loved coming here for lunch when I lived in Stamford. One colleague and I would come every week, usually for the excellent Lomo Saltado, a Peruvian classic. The place is pretty quiet most of the time, so food doesn’t take long. It’s always fresh, and tastes great. Staff members are friendly and helpful, and prices are good too. You can get takeaway or sit-in. I think some of the reviews on here are unfair. The area is fine. I lived and worked in the west side of Stamford for a year, and never had any issues. I recommend Antonio’s, especially for the Lomo Saltado!

I wanted something more for breakfast today than the usual something on a roll or English muffin; I have my usual haunts but today, ahhhhhh, today demanded something different. I have passed by Antonio’s numerous times and seen the posted breakfast specials but never ventured in. After today, I can declare that I have been in error. I ordered the #6 breakfast special; a flour tortilla layered with black beans, fried eggs, mozzarella cheese, pico de gallo, and guacamole. I asked them to throw in some ham as I am all about meat for breakfast. When I got back to work, I opened the takeout tin… oh my. The guac was fresh and I mean made right then and there fresh, the pico was sweet and bright with good flavor, melted real mozzarella over the beans and ungreasy egg… and my bits of tasty fried ham scattered heavily throughout. This came with a small cup of piquant green salsa. Antonio’s is now on my list of morning spots, and with the full menu and lunch specials I will definitely be stopping in. A note about the neighborhood; this is the Westside of Stamford; you are perfectly safe. I work here, and while it is not as esthetically pleasing as Downtown, you are at no peril while stopping here or at any of the other businesses in the area.

I decided to try this place out for some take-out pizza and wings with a certificate. Big mistake. First, the location is SO sketchy. Thankfully I had my fiancé waiting for me in the car. There is no parking lot, just street parking which makes picking up a take-out order more tedious. We ordered a large Rustica pizza and some Buffalo wings. The pizza was tasteless but had a decent crust. The description did not say onions but the pizza was covered in them. The roasted red peppers and mushrooms that were advertised to be on the pizza were difficult to find. I did not personally eat the wings but my fiancé said they were nothing special. The people working there were nice but I will absolutely never go back there again.

This is a family-owned gem! Wonderful service, tasty pizza and pasta selections. The Margherita uses shredded rather than buffalo mozzarella, but is yummy nonetheless. The pasta dishes are satisfying and made with fresh ingredients. If you dine in, they offer a 20% coupon off your meal if you ask for it ahead of time from their«to-go» menu.
