Very serviceable take out chinese. We come from Darien because of the price and it is better than the take out place here. Some dishes are not exactly as you expect, but you get used to them or you dont order them again.

This is a good take out Chinese restaurant. although there are a few tables. We live on the west side of Stamford and were looking for a good local Chinese. it was a twenty minute drive, that’s a bit too far for take out. i liked the prep, and the taste although the dishes marked spicy were not that except for pork and string beans that had a hint of heat. The dumplings were tasty but again not hot. the spare ribs were good but were strands of meat, I personally like ribs on the bone. Coming from NY, we expect spicy to be just that, so we were disappointed in the menu claims. if we lived nearby we would ask for heat in the dishes and tell them not to be shy about it. All in all too far away for us to travel for take out.

Tried today after reading reviews. Had chicken teriyaki skewers as appetizer and Mongolian Beef as main dish. Both very tasty and recommended. Price which also included egg roll and curry chicken was $ 39.00. You can’t beat that. Will definitely be back.

All. The. Stars! After over 2 and a half years of searching, I have finally found delicious Chinese food in Stamford. While they don’t deliver, the food is definitely worth the drive to pick it up! My sister and I decided to go for it after seeing some other reviews. We tried: an egg roll, a spring roll, hot and sour soup(my favorite, but truly a hit or miss item), spare ribs, pork fried rice, and the chicken and broccoli. The rolls were perfection, crispy on the outside without being greasy. The hot and sour soup was some of the best I have ever had(I find it particularly difficult to find good hot and sour soup)! The rice was tasty and also not greasy at all. I arrived before my order was ready so I got to see the spare ribs basted and turned repeatedly in the broiler. They lined the bag and there was zero leakage and all that hard work in the kitchen paid off! They were tender and perfectly coated with a delicious sauce. Lastly, the chicken and broccoli was another success! The chicken was white meat that had been perfectly cooked with fresh, brightly colored broccoli tossed with just the right amount of sauce(it wasn’t drowning in sauce, but was far from dry). Each of us was truly delighted to have found this gem — we actually high-fived while clearing the table. I can’t wait to order from here again and try some of their other menu items. Quality Chinese food is hard to find… look no further for your next night ordering in!

OMG, who would have thought this hidden gem would be so good! I had the chicken and broccoli in garlic sauce and it was the best I have ever had, the chicken was real and not that slimy pumped with water stuff! it was even better then blue ginger’s and Fuji’s chicken and broccoli!!! Thoroughly amazed! I also had the chicken wings which were equally impressive, nice and meaty and very crispy. I’m not a fan of Fried rice but my boyfriend enjoyed it. The whole meal came to 20 bucks, and we couldn’t have been happier with the taste. Needless to say I found my new go-to spot for simple regular Chinese. I cant wait to go again!

Consistently good food! It’s very inexpensive and they’re quick for pick up. I don’t usually get anything other than the chicken friend rice and the hot and sour soup, but both are great. Happy I live near First Wok!

One of my all-time favorite Chinese restaurants in Stamford. We’ve been going here for years me and my dad frequented this place often. They have excellent sesame chicken that’s always crispy. The fried rice is really good if you can make it I recommend going at lunch they have an excellent lunch combo that averages about 7 to 8 dollars a person. They have the Best crunchy noodles and to me my favorite duck sauce. I highly recommend this to anyone in the area it’s one of my favorite Chinese places if not the best in Stamford.

Been here a few times and have to say it is probably the best Chinese food in Stamford but was quite disappointed last Saturday when I called in an order for pick up and the girl said 15 – 20 min. I got there in 15 min and while they are usually punctual, I unfortunately waited another 20 minutes until my food finally came out. By the time I got home, the egg rolls were soggy and cold and the fried rice was cold. It appears the main dish, General Tso’s Chicken, was backed up in the kitchen while the other items were done and instead of maybe firing up some new egg rolls or fried rice, they just let it sit, probably for the whole 30 – 35 minutes. Ultimately, it just ruined the meal. Would recommend if they are behind on your order, to check it before you leave.

The food was okay, the rice was more like brown then fried. The scallion pancakes were extremely doughy and had hardly any scallions. I moved recently from NY and was hoping to find a great Chinese take out place but this left little to be desired. Hopefully I’ll find something soon !

This is a tried and true standby for me — anytime I have a disappointing dinner I place my order, it’s ready in 10-minutes and I’m always satisfied. This is strictly for take-out, no atmosphere in the restaurants and don’t judge the book by the cover. It doesn’t look like much from the outside — trust me the food is good.

BEST Chinese food in stamford! Been going there since I was a kid and it’s always flavorful and consistent. Well priced and fast. I Highly recommend the chicken and eggplant, and chicken and garlic sauce, both wonderful dishes. You’ll enjoy if you love good food!

I’d give 5 stars if they delivered, but for the price this place is great. They have best General Tso’s I’ve ever had by a mile.

It’s just a little closet sized take-out place in my neighborhood but it’s really good. I had a special with green beans, shrimp and chicken in a garlic sauce. So delicious! The phone rang off the hook the whole time I was waiting for my order. I’m not the only person who has discovered First Wok.

Finally decent Chinese food. It’s been around for awhile. I went there years ago and wasn’t impressed. I really like their mei fun. I need to try other menu items before I rate it a 5. But so far so good.

This is the spot in Stamford for Chinese. I like their dishes better than higher end spots like PF Changs. Nothing fancy, just a run down spot in Glenbrook but their food is high quality and pretty cheap too. Best General Tso’s chicken ever. smm
