For over $ 8, I expect a roast beef sandwich to have more that 2 oz of meat on it. There was barely enough to cover the bread in a single layer. Tasted good but the portion doesn’t match the price. Won’t be back.

Sandwich Maestro could technically be classified as a deli, but it doesn’t have that grimy, industrial feel to it; it’s quite charming, in fact. They offer a different sandwich special every day of the week. I’ve seen everything from black bean burgers to tilapia. The average sandwich is $ 6 – 8 and they have quite a spread of ingredients, from standards to the fancy stuff. I usually order the prosciutto sandwich(borderline too much prosciutto, if that’s possible) or the #4 — Taste of Toscanini, hot pressed, from their sandwich specials menu. Each of the options from that menu is named after a famous composer, which plays off the music theme. They also offer salads and have a big fridge of drink options. Seating is very limited so there’s only a counter inside and two or three tiny tables outside, so this is a great to-go option. Ask about their sandwich club– I believe you get your 13th sandwich free. FYI, they’re only open on weekdays.

I give this place 5 stars because they deserve. The staff is very friendly, and the food is great! I ordered Levi’s Lox $ 8.95 Delicate sliced Atlantic smoked salmon placed on one of our assortment of fresh bagels, dressed with cream cheese on one side and our own apple wasabi on the other and complimented with sliced hard boiled eggs, sweet red onions, tomatoes and cucumbers, It’s a delightful and refreshing treat. I was really scared about trying this combination, but I am glad that I did. It was a delicious combo! I will definitely return there again in the future!

Great service, reasonable prices. I only have their sandwiches but I’m a big fan.

Best deli in Stamford if you’re looking for an alternative sandwich! I’ve been coming here since I first moved to Stamford and I LOVE their sandwiches. The owner comes up with all sorts of fun sandwiches with music inspired names like the Chicken Litton [my favorite: roll w/cheddar, jalapeños, shredded lettuce and red pepper aioli!] or the Mostly Mozartrella w/sprouts, eggplant, fresh mozzarella and balsamic dressing. They also have a display case with daily cold pasta specials, the quiche of the week, and flavored coffee of the day. I wish they were open on the weekends!
