Outdated. Bad ice. Horrible staff. And dont let your kids go to Friday night skate. Its a zoo. Cops were called twice when we took our tween. One fight and rumor was teens smoking marijuana in bldg. food service at new café was disgusting and overpriced. The bar upstairs was even worse. Zero security. Go to Sono ice house or chelsea piers instead. Both are brand new and managed much better.

I come here rarely on Fridays, not too shabby. They make for a great time. There are a few younger kids that are reckless occasionally, and they need to learn to manage their behaviors better.

My sons play hockey here and as far as I’m concerned it’s the best rink in the area thanks to Mike Backman and his crew of talented coaches. My children did learn to skate with the Casella’s and they are great as well.

Here watching Stamford ice cats v Lady Islanders! Twin rinks are pretty ice. Both rinks are large and cold no heat sources for spectators. The snack bar is open and sell egg sandwiches for those early hockey games. Wifi throughout rink.

STR offers the most public skating times. Has a very good selection of hockey equipment in the pro shop. Snack bar hours are hit or miss. Significant availability for private lessons
