To go order: How can you give chips without any salsa, and provided ketchup and mayonnaise instead for 3 burritos, and one quesadilla? We paid extra for a super and wet burrito, but we received our order ALLWRONG! Explain!

I’ve been eating here 15+ years so I’ve probably had hundreds of meals here. The greedo, fat pile of s*^t owner who runs the place has the concession with Stanford, also operating the Café next door and Rays Café on Escondido Road. Obviously has an «in» with some sleaze inside and way up the chain in the University. The kitchen inside Treehouse had to undergo major repairs about a year ago when it was discovered that the floor and plumbing was rotting out due to years of poor sanitation. Ask the plumbers who worked on the project — they’ll never eat at Treehouse again. Appallingly poor customer service. Good food. Totally unacceptable wait times. Come here only off hours, when you have tons of time to kill. Need a quick lunch? Go to the convenience store across the patio or the Starbucks inside Tresidder.

The Treehouse is great at what it should be. This is a mainstay for college students who need affordable food options. Their strengths are: tacos, burritos and pizza. Don’t come here looking for a salad(CoHo next door is a better place for that). I can’t vouch for the Indian food offerings as I’ve never ventured that far. But it’s a great affordable place if you are at Stanford for any reason. Favorite meal eaten here: two carnitas tacos $ 2.50 each, served with chips and free reign of the salsa bar. The reason to come back again and again is the happy hour! Popular with graduate students and university staff alike, you can score a pint of good local beer(they rotate offerings often) for $ 3/pint and $ 8/pitcher from 3pm to 7pm. Pair that with an affordable plate of food and you are set.

The cashier at the front is always acting confused. I had to repeat my order to her 5 times and she still gives me a blank stare. She wouldn’t even tell me when it will be ready when I asked her. Horrible service and I think she should be fired.

Treehouse is solid, and I think it’s better than its counterpart, Ray’s. I’ve never had anything that I loved, but I’ve also never had anything that I really didn’t like. If you’re just getting pizza, you can wait in a separate line where you order your pizza, they’ll heat it up for you if necessary, and you can go straight to the front of the cash register. Since I’m not a huge fan of tomato sauce, I like the focaccia-style pizza a lot and that’s what I usually order. Otherwise, I get the pad Thai, since it comes with a huge pile of noodles that I can eat for several meals. As others have mentioned, Treehouse serves a huge variety of food, with Indian being their most recent addition. None of it is authentic, but the taste and cost are both reasonable. Happy hour is a good deal; pitchers are $ 9, single beers are $ 3 – 4, and wine is $ 5. Beware of the red wine as it’s not very good, but the white isn’t always chilled. Tough call in that case.

I can see why so many students enjoy eating at this diverse restaurant, for its prices and extensive menu! Food: Thai, Mexican, Indian, and American dishes. Definitely something for everyone! Took me quite a while to choose what to order, but I got the chicken quesadillas. Pretty standard in terms of quality, but I can’t argue against a reasonable price of $ 6! I tried some of the fries from the rest of my party, and they were really good. Kinda reminded me of In-N-Out fries, but more crispy. Setting: Slightly disappointed that the restaurant isn’t in a treehouse(as its name would suggest) but that was probably just me. There’s not a whole lot of tables, but it’s easy to push together a bunch of them for a large party. I went here while the Warriors game was playing on the large TV, which was awesome because all the customers clustered together to watch the Warriors win(of course)! I wouldn’t drive all the way out to Stanford to go to this restaurant, but it’s a nice, quick go-to if you’re in the area and want to experience the college scene.

The Treehouse is one of my go-to places on campus for lunch. Honestly though, I probably wouldn’t come here as much if I didn’t work so close by. I always get a burrito — either the California or Mexican veggie mix. They have a nice mix of ingredients, which I appreciate, but I always tend to feel a little gross after finishing it. Maybe it’s too big and I should just eat less, but I lack that self control. The menu here is oddly large — with Mexican specialties, burgers, and Indian food. I’ve always been scared to try the Indian offerings and recommend just sticking with the Mexican stuff. It feels a bit dim and grimy inside, but luckily there is a large outdoor seating area right out front. I’d say this is my preferred place in Tresidder — definitely way better than the food court inside.

Really Mean Nachos for $ 5 — $ 8. The cheap wine is also drinkable.

The size of the menu here really took me by surprise. I took forever to decide what I wanted to order. In the end, I settled for the Cardinal Burger – a pretty basic burger(exciting, I know). Prices here are pretty cheap and I think I paid less than $ 7 for the burger that came with fries. It wasn’t anything special though. I found the burger to be SUPER greasy. My bun was soaked through with oil before I was halfway through. Fries are meh as well. Not super impressed by this place, although given the size of the menu, I’m sure if I came back again I’ll be able to find something I like. A bunch of people in front of me ordered the bowls(teriyaki chicken or something) and those looked delicious! So we’ll see. I’ll probably come back again despite my mediocre first-time experience here.

Disgusting, behind-the-times stinkhole of a place. I asked the morons behind the counter if there is anything gluten free? They say«no, absolutely nothing!» Not even the rice and beans? No! NOTHING! Seriously do you even understand what that means? Why can’t they simply say that we do have gluten free items but there is no promise that there is no cross-contamination. Somebody please close this sorry excuse of an eatery.

Great place to hang out drinking beer on a Friday evening on the Stanford campus. Plenty seating outside. Lines can get a little long for food but wide selection of Mexican, burgers and even Indian.

Me: So do you have regular burritos Treehouse: yes Me: Is it rice, beans, and meat in the regular Treehouse: yes Me: Does it have pico de gallo or onions Treehouse: yes Me: Can I have mine with no onions or pico Treehouse: yes Me: That sounds good — I will take one Treehouse: yes My Burrito: rice(good rice), beans(good portion — not black mind you), meat(not enough for a taco), guacamole(lots), onions(more than enough), pico de gallo(some) Do not be confused this is not a traditional Cali style place — more of a Hampshire-Mex feel — so don’t expect the menu to be the tried and true items that have been serving the bay area hunger for mexican food for the past 30+ years, has the same names but ‘regular’ has a new meaning. Even though I opened my burrito and shook all the non-regular stuff out and re-wrapped it, the onion-juice must have been in there and now I just want to puke my guts out.

I was attending a conference at Stanford University last week and the Treehouse is the pub on campus. I have to say, I was not disappointed by any means! They have a pretty good selection of beer and good happy hour prices($ 9 a pitcher!!). They have a wide selection of food: pizza, nachos, quesadillas, burritos, bowls… all with lots of options and not the typical ingredients. I had a Thai chicken burrito. Holy moly as it good! Rice, chicken, Thai chili sauce, and a grilled pineapple salsa. So good! And for a campus restaurant, the prices were not bad at all with large portions. Loved it, wished there was a location in San Diego! And now I“m craving that burrito again…

Four Star Burger!!! Very solid. I’ve come here a few times during my lunch break. They have a huge menu, with many different themes of food. I always get the burger, because its so good! The fries are also delicious. Price isn’t bad. One star off for service. The cashiers don’t speak good English, and it’s hard for them to take your order if they don’t know what you’re ordering. Other than that, great burger!

The many times I’ve been here I would say this place is decent. I do like their pizzas, but most of the other items on the menu are way too greasy. It’s a nice go-to place after eating dining hall food every day or on weekends when the row houses don’t have food, but I think if I were to go here again I would just do the kale burrito with chicken instead of yam.

Tldr: slow service, high prices, forgot my order twice in the same visit. Ordered chicken nachos via order ahead App. Pick up time says 8:09. Arrive at 8:15 and try to get my order. Cashier tries not to make eye contact and shifts her body 30 degrees to the left so I’m not in her peripheral vision, even though this makes using the register hard for her. Finally asks me what my order was at 8:20. Lo and behold, the order wasn’t put in. Tells me that it’ll be right out. It’s now 8:37. No nachos. On the other hand, the 8 people who ordered in line while I was waiting have all gotten their food and left… I was suspicious that this happened because of technical problems in the orderAhead app, but the burger I ordered last week in person was also not put in. That said, the prices at on campus eateries are high in general so it’s not just here. There just aren’t that many options for eating late, so I appreciate the variety that you can get at treehouse. I would appreciate it more if I could actually get the food I paid for. :(

This place has definitely grown on me. It’s a great place for group hangouts(happy hour with research group, catch up with friends, etc.), and they actually have surprisingly good wings. I recommend the angry habanero(not as spicy as it sounds, unfortunately), and the sweet tequila. In fact, get them both — they complement each other really well. Garlic fries are solid, spicy garlic fries are not. This place is also essentially the same as Ray’s in GCC, minus some of the asian options(Pad thai, chow mein, etc.). I’ll definitely need to come back when I’m a bit more hungry to try their Four Foot Burrito.

Their four-foot burritos are awesome for catering and are quite tasty. It comes wrapped in aluminum foil, cut up into single servings, and placed in a long box. If you’re just getting a regular burrito, you have even more options. I once got their chicken tikka masala burrito, which was pretty good. I’m not a big fan of their pizza though: mushy and tasteless.

A greasy, campus joint that’s open late and all year round. In other words, GREAT! When dining halls are closed, there aren’t many food options left for Stanford students, but the Treehouse provides the feed! Burritos, teriyaki bowls, nachos, chicken wings, sandwiches, pizzas, burgers, beer and even serving Indian food now, this place has a good variety. The lines can be slow. Getting your food can be slow. There is not much seating inside. Not really any healthy options(or maybe I’ve just never looked for ‘em). There are quite a few problems with ‘The Treehouse’, but it fits a niche for Stanford students, and so I appreciate it.
