This was my first visit to this place since the name change and new management(formerly know as the Cargo Bar by locals). It has an almost dive bar restaurant thing going. I like the atmosphere, very friendly and casual. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the same menu was in tack from the Cargo bar menu. The food was delicious and I have no complaints with the food or service. The one reason why this place didn’t get more stars was that I purchased a certificate from that was specifically for this restaurant. When I tried to use it I was very disappointed with the response from the waiter stating«we no longer accept these there is a sign on the door» purchasing this certificate is what brought me to try this place out in the first place. When I told him that if they don’t accept them then why was I able to purchase it with the restaurants name on it? He said«I have nothing to do with that». If not him then who? Having a sign on the door that is barely noticeable, until we took a very hard look before we left in a darken foyer, is not enough. Shouldn’t it be his responsibility to have their name removed from the website so that customer or potential customer doesn’t purchase a certificate prior to coming to this establishment in hopes of using it. I felt like this was a classic bait and switch. quick note I was able to transfer the certificate to another restaurant thankfully.

This place is always a good time. Service comes with a smile and great attitude. They have some really cool live acts, and throw other events. Happy Hour, YES !! Margaritas, and something to snack on. One of my favorite local bars on Staten Island. Oh and you get to color on the table while you hang out and wait. LOVE that.

Definitely worth it to pop in for a drink or two next time you’re in Staten Island. Wild octopus/squid/tentacle themed artwork everywhere. Great service, friendly regulars at the bar, and some killer Happy Hour specials! I heard that the food is awesome, but we had just eaten, so we’ll have to try next time!

Been a regular for awhile. I love the food and their wine! even though it gets slow sometimes with the crowd, cargos is still entertaining and never a dull moment

Went here with friends after SI Pride. Wasn’t very crowded, but the waitress was a good friend of my friend so we were the biggest group there that night. I asked how big the nachos were, and she said it was big enough for 2 people. I ordered that. When it came, I was disappointed. The cheese at the top was burnt black, there was absolutely no flavor to the nachos and it was small enough for a child, not for 2 people. I was disappointed. But the waitress was alert, kept our water glasses full, and even gave us cupcakes that were rainbow shaped on the inside for free. There was also drink specials for Pride night, but I didn’t get drinks. The vibe and ambiance was very cool, the artwork outside on the wall, and the drawing paper and crayons at your table, but the place lacked in choices for food, and the food was not the greatest tasting. But the waitress made it a good experience, and the fact that they had a Pride Night is why I’m giving it 3 stars.

Food was great here. I ordered the garlic bread sandwich I think it’s called with grilled chicken. It was delish. You get to draw on the table too. Awesome time here.

Great place located near the Ferry. Good selection of local brew and grunge atmosphere makes you feel like your in a nirvana music video.

I had a really really good burger here recently, but I did wish that the bun was a little more special and not your typical mass produced hamburger bun… it’s cheap(around $ 8) but I would pay alittle more if it was a nice brioche roll or something. And I really don’t understand why the back room is never open on a beautiful day, that is one thing that is missed about the old cargo! Please please please start opening the back up!

I used to frequent this place when it was Cargo & found it to have a nice atmosphere, eclectic jukebox, decent food & in general, just a good place to hang out after work. I hadn’t been there for a few years because of a new job. I recently got together with a few friends, so I suggested we go there. What an embarrassment! The place was filthy, runned down & the staff was aloof & inattentive. Find another place. There are plenty of places in the area to grab a few drinks.

I have been here several times now, I must say food has been delivered with perfection on taste. I love the vibe along with the art inside & outside the business… friendly staff makes it even better to keep coming back.

Great food with pretty fair prices… They could use a sign on the door outside though.

I’ve been to Bay Café a few times now and found it to be a fun, funky, locals place. I don’t live in St. George, but if I did I’d definitely be a regular. They have local art on the walls(and exterior), art shows, and local bands perform too. Btw, they have a LOT of eggplant on the menu– more than I’ve seen outside an Italian restaurant– and plenty of meat free dishes that are still quite filling for a carnivore. I recently went again with my boyfriend(we went there on our first dinner date ever too, over a year ago) and we had a great time. Our waitress was friendly and efficient, and our food came out quickly. He got steak with eggplant and zucchini and I got the lamb fillet with mustard sauce. The lamb was perfectly cooked at medium well and the veggies still had a good bite to them, but holy crap that mustard sauce was amazing! I seriously need to go back & see if I can buy a bottle. I would put that sh*t on everything! My boyfriend was dunking his steak and veggies in it too, so I’m glad there was a lot on the plate. So. Freaking. Delicious. I think next time I go, no matter what I order I’ll be asking for that sauce on the side.

I will never return to 120 Bay Café, formerly Cargo. The food is sub par, the service is far below standard. Waitress was repulsive, and blatantly disrespectful to my mother. Management was out of touch, and the feel of the restaurant is far under developed. They’re trying really hard to hold on to the location, however, they won’t last. They show no signs of adapting.

120 bay has a unique atmosphere, paired with great food and a fully stocked bar. It’s a place to come to listen to a live band, sing karaōke or sit down for some Jameson on the rocks and relax to your favorite song on the jukebox. The walls are covered with murals, canvas paintings and sculptures which are sure to inspire the creative mind. Stop by and experience it for yourself, it’s only a 5 minute walk from the Staten Island Ferry.

I have tried twice to give it a chance, as I would like to support local businesses in Staten Island. I would definitely not return for a third try. Food was not good, not awful, just not good. Inattentive staff with a long wait to be acknowledged. Kind of gross actually other than the cool looking and often changing artwork on the outside of the building. Maybe someone else will take over the space and provide a good experience in what should be a great location.

Walked in. Stood at the bar for 8 minutes with no bartender behind the bar!!! The place smelled pretty bad also.

Excellent Happy Hour spot! Great drink & appetizer specials. Haven’t had a bad app here yet. The BLT on the happy hour menu is an actual sandwich, so it’s a bit more substantial than what you’d normally think of for an appetizer. The service is very friendly, everyone is always smiling– which definitely adds to the experience in a positive way.

Really love this place for Happy Hour! I’ve met friends here right after work, a short walk from the SI Ferry, and I can’t wait to go back again. Drinks specials are very good for happy hour, as is the food. I was actually surprised how good the food actually was. My 3 friends and I ordered 4 different things and everyone was actually quite happy with what they got. It’s a very casual place, but I think one of the best things is they feature local artists. Always something new to look at while you sip your brew. Recommended: BLT sandwich, sliders, mac and cheese balls and mozzarella sticks.
