I used to come to this deli all the time, and I stopped. Although their bagels are pretty good and usually fresh they have gone downhill over the years. I stopped in yesterday for cold cuts and there was another person ahead of me. There were three employees behind the counter and all three saw myself and my son walk in and not one of them acknowledged that. No big deal, right? After waiting a good 10 minutes without still so much as a «are you being helped yet?» two more customers walk in simultaneously as the man in front of me is ready to pay and walks the three steps to the counter. Without acknowledging the fact that I had been patiently waiting the guy behind the deli counter skips me and helps the person who walked in. I put back all my drinks and left. This place isn’t concerned with getting business, because they have their regular customers already and if you’re an unfamiliar face to them they treat you as such. There have been several occasions when I’ve gone there in the morning and the owner himself has been at the register and not bothered to look down from the tv and acknowledge customers. There are far better places nearby.

This deli is right across the street from my Grandma’s house so I’ve been here a million times. There are delis just like this on every five blocks in most neighborhoods. Since I’ve been going here for years, I know basically all of the staff and owners(I actually worked here for about 2 weeks when I was 14 but that’s a whole other story entirely). They are all really friendly. Victor, who seems to work there everyday, is hilarious. I’m pretty picky with my sandwiches. I can’t stand when there’s not enough mayo or the cold cuts are sliced too thick. I like the way the sandwiches are made here. If you specify that you want it cut thin, they’ll listen. Never really been disappointed with a sandwich here. Their groceries are incredibly overpriced but what do you expect? It’s a corner deli, you really shouldn’t be going here to get your food shopping done.
