Priced right and since I’m not familiar with NYC, I had no idea what Chock Full O Nuts was all about until I bought it and did an on line search. Great robust coffee!

I like the fact that it serves waffles, especially multigrain, but sometimes they’ll say you have to wait a half hour for waffles because the waffle iron has to warm up. Is that because I got there late morning? I hope that’s not always the case. Staff are sometimes clueless and forgetful. Three times in a row they forgot something: one time we ordered two waffles, they only gave us one. Another time, they forgot to put the waffles on and after waiting a good 15 mins., I followed up. To be fair, owner did offer us a freebie to make up for the mistake. A third time, they forgot I ordered a sandwich. Need to keep on top of them, make sure they’re preparing what you ordered or you’ll waste time waiting. Otherwise, food is great, prices are good, atmosphere nice.

Been here twice and there’s more cons then there are pros. The service is excellent and courteous. Onto the food n coffee. The donuts, bagel n croissants are stale. Their turnover rate is slow. It’s not in the greatest location n they maybe suffering from it. The price are about .50 to .75 cents higher than DD. the coffee, lattee etc has a weird taste. Maybe my taste buds r used to Starbucks or DD. I tried to like the place, but it gets difficult everytime I go in. The food n coffee are very different from what we’re used to.

Ehhhhhhhh… that is what I can write. Eh. It was literally what the review says for my number of stars«meh. I’ve experienced better.» Think dunkin donuts and starbucks met, had an affair and this was the product… only, its the unhappy product of that affair. If you have ever seen Chock Full of Nuts at the grocery store, it’s exactly this Chock Full of Nuts I am talking about. They have their own store now. It’s such a cute concept. No joke. The actual location is super cute and the service was great(expect when I watched one of the guys in the back drop all the pre-cut aluminum papers on the floor and proceed to pick them up… whatever). They not only have coffee, but they actually have a small lunch menu with some interesting looking things. We went for the coffee and some pastries. I got a vanilla latte. It was ok. At first it had a strange taste to it, but I guess my taste buds got immune and it started tasting ok. We also got some donut that was slightly getting stale. I’m not saying I’m giving up on chock full o’nuts. Heck, I have their K-cups… LOVETHAT. But I think the quality of the coffee at the store needs to pick up. The service was great. I’ll go back… without a doubt. And I even want to try their lunch items.

Before I start I just have to say the staff here was exceptionally friendly! So pleasant and accomodating, it was refreshing and needs to be mentioned. I volunteer for my university and mentor students. I decided to meet at this coffee shop a) because I grew up with Chock Full O’ Nuts coffee, and b) why should Starbucks and Dunkin’ get all the love? I purchased a box of coffee and 12 donuts for about 22 bucks. They supplied cups, stirrers, and gave me milk and creamer, without me having to ask. I had my meeting, and not once did I feel rushed. In fact, when I got up to leave and thank them(and drop a tip in the jar for their patience) they were acting as if it was no trouble at all. I am very happy I chose this place, and I will make it my go-to spot for these events.

I remember when I use to go to the local diner by me in Brooklyn, they served Chock full O’nuts in their restaurant. The coffee was sensational. This place does not make the same coffee. It’s Chock full of nasty.

I went in at 7:45 am on a Monday and there was one person there. There was an experienced barista and an unexperienced one and of course I got the latter. The woman was older and sounded confused when I asked for a latte. The male barista had to walk her through my drink and it took a good 8 minutes which is very long in a dead store. Hopefully she is new and training because that shouldn’t go on. Surprisingly a pumpkin latte was cheaper than a regular coffee. It was very tasty, better than the famous PSL from Starbucks in my opinion. I probably won’t be back during the week because in order to get to this location I have to go out of the way to make a u-turn to get to it. Very out of the way for me to get to on a hectic mornings before work.

I’m so happy we finally have a coffee shop in the neighborhood ! It’s small and quaint, the coffee and lattes are pretty good. I hate having to go to Starbucks and refuse to go to Dunkin ! So this is a perfect place to grab your morning coffee and a treat.

First time ever at a clock full of nuts! I would start off by saying this location Is pretty weird… good size for a coffee shop… there are good amount of seatings… also has outside seatings as well… There should be internet connections… As far as a food menu they keep it simple… breakfast pastries… sandwiches…fruits… and smoothies! Small parking lot… I was going to give this place Three stars but just because the staff is somewhat unpleasant I’m giving this place two stars… Hopefully they will improve on good customer service!

Tried this place for breakfast this morning and I think it’s a good alternative to Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks. I had a large French vanilla cappuccino and a slice of carrot cake and it came out to $ 6 and change. Not bad. The owner was nice and took my order quickly and efficiently. The carrot cake tasted very fresh and the cappuccino was robust without being too strong like Starbucks.

Chock full o’ nuts is a nice little addition to the Staten Island coffee scene. They recently opened,(October of 2013) I was told by the nice young lady who worked there. Today was my first chance to stop by. Just knew that I had to check out this place after reading so many good reviews. Since it was such a nice day, I ordered a large iced coffee and a whole wheat bagel. Way too warm to get a hot coffee. The place was kind of empty late this morning which I like. A gentleman was using his laptop to get some work done with their free Wi-Fi and another couple.
This place has 5 tables and 6 high top chairs facing the front entrance. Their menu is on 3 large flat screen TV’s behind the counter. The large one on the left kept running ads in black & white showing old commercials. You know the one! Nice selection of breakfast sandwiches or paninis & wraps for lunch. Prices are reasonable compared to other coffee houses around the area. FYI– free delivery with a minimum purchase of $ 20.

Finally was able to try this place and I LOVE it. Me and my best friend are in a bookclub and this place is awesome for meetings. They have many different selections of coffees as well as food. I got an oatmeal raisin cookie and an Irish cream(yum!) and she got buffalo chicken panini, she loved it. We will be back shortly the sad thing is that it’s in that terrible location where if your coming north-south on Richmond ave you have to go to signs road to make the u-turn. Every business that’s been in this location had shut down but I have hope in this business ! They’re awesome !!!

So I finally was able to try a nice fresh new brew of coffee that my boyfriend and co-workers have been bragging about and I just happy I got the chance to go. So I finally drive here after a long night of work and having a full busy schedule ahead of me and the place was right on Richmond Avenue and has a parking lot and it was DEAD, awesome! No morning rush for me and I can really see what they got and enjoy the personal experience much better, so I finally get in and I am pretty excited, I tell the lady I am new and she shows me a menu and ask if I have questions, of course its a coffee shop so how technical can it really get you know? I have me a regular size coffee and I make it myself like with the milk and sugars if not they can do it for you and I hooked up my cup of joe and it was pretty freaking good and just gave me that energy I needed you know. There is fresh pastries in display and they also offer bagels and breakfast sandwiches, they have a small lunch menu, offer boxes of joe and even the K-cups which is cool and I might come back too. The best looking appealing food for me was the date nut bread! Wow it looked awesome but unfortunately I had to pass because its the first day of spring and gotta get this belly in check =] HAHAHA such a typical girl I know! I enjoyed my coffee and half a bagel and it was only about $ 5 which is not bad at all. I will be back for sure I am finally happy to have my CHOCKFULL O NUTS experience! I am a believer!

The coffee here is fantastic as well as the people behind the counter. Really nice atmosphere for a coffee. Additionally, the price is cheaper than Dunkin Donuts so that’s a plus. Pretty convenient location for me on my way to work. A good amount of Parking space.

Chock Full O’ Nuts’ lattes, whether ice-cold or hot, are deep and aromatically robust. While their coffee is just as good, this chain’s presence remains severely underrated in a city where Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts, hail king and queen. I can’t say that I’ve ever walked in and saw the place busy with the slow-moving lines that I’m used to seeing at other coffee shops, but that is not necessarily a negative thing, as you’ll find that your beverage will be handcrafted with extra care. The staff, a team of young and attentive baristas, has always been friendly and courteous. «Frappuccinos» or «frappés,» otherwise known as ice-blended drinks, are not available here, but they’ve still got a great selection for the avid lover of Joe, along with bagels, sandwiches, and a small assortment of pastries on the side. Plus, there’s a restroom in the back(No need to be shy… We all know that coffee and restrooms go hand in hand), so drink the hours away, enjoy the wi-fi, read a favorite book, or the company of a fellow bean-loving friend. Located next door to Enzo and Tino’s Bake Shop(who does not happen to serve any type of hot beverages), this is a great spot to make your morning coffee run or come for a pick-me-up in the middle of the day, so why not save your usual pit stop for another time, and give Chock Full O’ Nuts a try instead? You’ll be most glad that you did, and, like me, pleasantly surprised upon your first sip.

This is always a pleasant experience! Staff is generally a friendly bunch, and the coffee is excellent. The donuts are always fresh and there is never a line for coffee. I’ve had both coffee and caramel lattes and they’ve been terrific. Come here to relax and enjoy the free wifi!(I also like how the Indian cashier says«hot latte»)

So… Place is nice, modern, new and clean. Cute selection of panini and to go stuff but more on the pricy side than I thought it should be. Just ordered pumpkin latte. Though it is good– I don’t taste any pumpkin in it. More like coffee with whip cream. Andy update. So I am a regular. And I do enjoy their regular coffee very much. I have tried the egg whites on multi grain toasted for breakfast and it’s pretty good. Grilled cheese is also good. The staff here is all nice an friendly and I wound up being more if a regular than I thought. I will revisit the latte another day :) also… Ultra clean. The staff if never standing still.
