Domenico’s Pizza

Good pizza and good raviolis. Recession specials are great buy, and there seems to be some even better online coupons. I’ve used this place several times for pick up, and had food delivered to my folks and they were also very happy with them.

I went in and ordered a rolls and a wrap. The wrap was very good but the service was terrible. I waited almost 30 minutes before someone even asked what I was waiting for. I was then told the wrap was on the grill. It should have been on the grill when I ordered it. Orders that were placed after mine were going out for delivery before mine was even ready. The girl behind the counter was rude and suggested I was lying about the wait time. I had the receipt with the time stamp as proof. The food is good but I will never go back after being insulted and treated so rudely. After spending $ 30.00 and being charged for sauce on the side you think they would treat you better. The delivery man was even going to check on my order.

Service was very friendly and fast. For the price I thought it was really good. I will come back!

After being frustrated with crap delivery service offered by Gino’s Villa Monte I decided to give Domenicos a try. I couldn’t make it past the teenage girl answering the phone. After spelling my street name 3 times slowly, just to see if we were in their delivery range and her clueless responses of «huh?», and «whu?» along with being put on hold after each spelling I gave up. Ordering pizza should not require this much effort. I called Casa Verde, spoke with a gentleman with a thick Italian accent who got it on the first try.

Excellent place to go and eat, and the owners are always polite and welcoming. Iv never once had a problem with this pizzeria coming here the pass couple of years. My favorite things to order are the Buffalo slice pizza which is actually pretty sweet and tangy. My only problem is that sometimes they’ll put cheese on top and it’ll make it even more delicious, and sometimes they won’t. It should be a constant standard. I also like there hot pastrys.

Great pizza. They also have a huge variety of pies as well. My favorite part was their whole wheat wrap menu and their whole wheat pizza pies as well. It’s hidden off Amboy road right next go dolphin gym. I highly recommend

Best in the Bay Terrace area. All around food is great and staff is friendly. No need to look further it’s simply the best

I LOVE THEIR FOOD! Seriously! Chicken marsala pie is to DIE FOR!!! I mean OMG, this is heaven on a little square of perfectly cheesed, crispy thin crust :drool: mushroomy deliciousness. I may have slapped my mother after the first bite, it was that freakin good. I ordered one then had my friend go in 5 minutes later to order another slice for me cause I didn’t want to look like a fat pig but OMG IT WAS THAT GOOD!
Their fried eggplant, fresh mozzarella, roasted pepper wrap. SWEET JESUS I’m writing this at 11:45 at night and I’m wondering how I can get this for breakfast. Just don’t douse it with all the balsamic vinegar that comes with it… like I did because that squirted all over me in a thank god I wasn’t wearing white pants kinda way. The balsamic must be gently applied.
Don’t know what one reviewer who «KNEW GOOD ITALIAN FOOD» was talking about. She must like Ragu or that crap sauce they sell for a buck a jar in Pathmark because she doesn’t know what she’s talking about. Some people are never satisfied.
Also if you’ve only had delivery, you are missing out. Some of the best pizzas I’ve ever tried were on a whim — deliciously displayed in their case. exotic pies, (no sauce — fresh mozzarella, arugala, fresh fig and goat cheese with a balsamic reduction — OMG AMAZING! Its so good I’d proudly gain 5 pounds just knowing my tastebuds graced this crazy sounding BUTOHSOGOOD combination of tastiness. it should be illegal.

Had an AmazonLocal deal and made a reservation for our party of 4. First confusing bit is that there are TWO pizzerias on Staten Island named «Domenico’s», so I checked three times to make sure we were going to the correct one (Google maps auto-​filled with the other one– by the way, not sure if the two are affiliated in any way).
We get to the strip mall where it is located and while the parking lot is packed, it looks like the pizzeria is closed. Happy to say I was wrong about that, as we were able to go in and be seated at our table. The place is extremely small. I’m shocked that a place of this size and casual atmosphere would be offering a $ 50 AmazonLocal deal.
Waitress/​server wasn’t too pleasant at the beginning of our meal. She wasn’t rude, she just seemed grumpy and certainly not welcoming or friendly. She warmed up after a while and actually cracked a few smiles.
We ordered a lentil soup, the «special» salad, and two pizzas: a margherita and a white pie with broccoli. They bring out bread and butter– the bread was actually pretty good.
She next brings out the stands for the pizzas, and I’m wondering about the soup and salad. She said something along the lines of the pizza area and kitchen working independently, so things come out when they are ready and sometimes everything all comes out together. Um… am I the only one who might see some issues with this practice? I think it would behoove them to coordinate a little bit better.
Margherita pie was average. The sauce had a sweetness to it, almost a biting sweetness. I did like that the crust was thin and had a nice crisp. Oh, and before it was brought out, someone came by to ask us if we wanted fresh basil on it. The menu says it comes with fresh basil, so I was incredulous that we were asked if we wanted it– of course we wanted it! But sure, I can appreciate that they asked, if their experience has been that many others say the don’t want it. It was a good amount of basil.
White pie was more promising. Had some good flavor and was garlicky.
The salad was good and beautifully presented. To be frank, I felt it was a little over-​the-​top for your basic strip mall pizzeria. This was fare for a more chic, upscale restaurant, but I appreciate the effort! It was a bed of arugula with some prosciutto and BURRATA on top of it, with a pineapple jam sauce. Loved the sauce and really liked the presentation– I just think it didn’t «match» the ambiance of the place.
The lentil soup. A little salty, but good, until… I crunched down on something. It was a STONE. Yes, folks, we actually got a stone soup yesterday!
I bring it to the attention of waitress, who brings over owner, who looks horrified for a split second, says we won’t be paying for the soup, and brings it to the kitchen. She comes back shortly and says it actually wasn’t a stone but an extremely dried lentil. Wish I had taken a picture. It was a grey stone. I’ve made lentil soup enough times to know what a lentil looks like, and that was no lentil.
Well, I guess the fact that her kitchen crew declared the stone a dried lentil was reason to not take it off the bill. I was going to say something but one of my dining partners urged me to just let it go, since we already had the deal voucher. It’s not a matter of getting something for free, it’s a matter of holding someone accountable when errors are made.

We actually tried this place because we bought a groupon and figured we would give it a shot. So glad we did; their pizza was excellent! Nice crispy crust with delicious sauce– everything a pizza should be. We also tried the Sicilian pizza l-​equally as tasty! I would recommend them if you are looking for a quality pie.

Great place! Amazing pizza! I would say the best pizza on the island! The customer service is great! I highly recommend to visit this place to everyone! I was there do many times and every time was pleased with a quality of food.

Their buffalo chicken pizza is the best. I’ve had it at many places but nothing beats Domenico’s buffalo chicken pizza
