This place just keeps getting better! Robert and Lorrie are wonderful people and I appreciate them running wine up the street to me in the freezing cold. I like the fact that they are so neighbor– friendly, and I really appreciate them saving me the last case of my favorite bottle. Take a chance and try something different, you won’t break the bank, but you may just discover a new wine friend. Or in my case, a wine love.

My husband and I are recent transplants to NYC from CA and I was hoping to find a wine shop that felt like home. Well, we found it. I had a conversation with one of the owners (Lori) and it was such a pleasure to have a conversation with her about some of the great wine-​growing regions of the world. She gave me an excellent wine recommendation to go with the pesto pasta I was having that night, and an introduction to New York wine. I look forward to going back!

Really nice & friendly owner-​managed business! I was there in the Neighborhood & was happy with the results from Unilocal and went to shop inside. I was very happy with how the owner took care of my need to purchase & helped me select a few bottles for my clients. I hope they enjoyed them. I plan to come again to make more purchases in the near future! See you soon!

Lori and Robert are fantastic people and their shop is a reflection of that. Everything has been hand-​selected by them and they only choose the best to carry. If you’re lucky, Pink the giant dog might be behind the counter to greet you. Don’t be afraid to ask, they are so knowledgable about every wine they carry and will lead you in the right direction if you are overwhelmed. Coolest store in the neighborhood and perhaps all of Staten Island.

I have been hearing from everyone about Honor Wines for the last few months.
I finally had the opportunity to stop in.
It has been a cold and snowy winter… and a long week for me.
Honor wines was a wonderful way to begin the weekend,
Let us forget about the eclectic wine selection.
Let us forget about the welcoming and rustic ambiance.
I walked in to get a wine to drink with dinner (we were having lamb)
Not only did they recommend the perfect bottle of Spann Vineyards «Betsy’s Backache» they opened a few things to taste AND recommended a few other bottles (which we will be sampling shortly)
The owners; Laurie and Robert, are knowledgeable as well as passionate.
I can not wait to go back.

Jumping on the bandwagon to rave about this place. Really interesting selection at very reasonable prices and the proprietors are cool people, not at all snobby but with deep knowledge of their product. Honestly I don’t drink a lot of wine at home so I’ve only been a few times but they’ve been batting 1,000% in suggesting gifts or bottles to bring to dinner parties. Tell them what you want and then trust them.

Eclectic and appealing selection of biodynamic, organic and sustainable wines. Lush and lovely Pinot Noirs and a wonderful variety of sparklers, as well as champagne and fun bubbles.

I liked the warm welcome at Honor Wines and easy conversation about wines. I left with three bottles that were recommended based on my tastes. Just opened the first one — spot on. What a delight to walk into a wine shop that caters to my taste and introduces me to new wines I might not have tried on my own. Worth a visit. I know I’ll be back.

Finally, a wonderful wine shop in a neighborhood that desperately needs one.
Close to the ferry, convenient and elegant, Honor Wines offers a great variety
of wines for all different budgets.
The proprietors are friendly and helpful and really know their stuff and can explain wines in layman terms. They often offer tastings too.
The shop itself, just a short work from the ferry, is welcoming and whimsical
with high ceilings and a rustic flair.
Music plays from a phonograph behind the register and everything about Honor wines is welcoming and warm.

Lovely wine shop near the ferry with an impressive assortment of reasonably priced wines. Great atmosphere, too. I recommend it as a stop on your commute home — perhaps for one of their tastings.

A charming shop, convenient location steps away from the Staten Island Ferry. Their selection of wines is wide & varied. A good range of price points, many excellent wines at affordable prices. Owned by a local family who staff & run the shop themselves, and who personally chose the wines they stock. Friendly, knowledgeable service.
