This place is VERY nice: the people are friendly and genuinely welcoming. The food is fresh, tasty and very well done. I had fresh quinoa salad with grilled chicken breast. The fresh home made rice pudding and all I tasted speaks for itself, better than I would be able to describe. Enjoy!

Best deli in the area. Staff is super friendly and food is all freshly prepared. I go daily for their breakfast specials… My usual is the poached egg with cheddar and bacon on an English muffin… It is one of my favorite breakfasts on the island! Way to go Leo!

The owner is fantastic. Please support this local shop! Excellent deli with great food and service deserves to be recognized! The store is very clean and well maintained.
We get the fried eggs, cheddar, bacon, avocado and caramelized onions, and mayo on a roll for only $ 4.75!!!
He always gives out a free soup that his wife makes to sample.

I just came from Leo’s after a long day at work and I decided to get a wrap they have a specialty item that includes fried eggs cheddar cheese bacon avocado caramelized onions and mayo so I switched the fried eggs to eggs whites and cheddar cheese to mozzarella and added honey mustard. And it was amazing! So good I had to pull over my car to enjoy it! They also have perfect grade A customer service I got welcomed at the door as well. Honestly 5 stars is not enough. And they have parking!

I am so so happy that I stopped in this deli today! I have passed by it before but it was closed on Sunday’s so I never stopped in. Today I saw a sign that mentioned parking in the back so I pulled in and now I think this is my new favorite deli! They have a large amount of sandwiches in their menu, a large selection of beverages and a ton of great beer options. The prices are very affordable and there are tables inside to sit and eat. I poured a cup of coffee for myself and the owner told us «No, no. I will make a fresh pot, one second.» They have hazelnut and and French vanilla creamer. The owner also gave us tastings of their soup which was delicious! A+ on price, taste, and customer service!

Great sandwiches breakfast and lunch!!!
The Luis chicken cutlet sandwich with goat cheese and balsamic glaze was perfect and the Sausage Egg and Cheese bagel sandwich were phenomenal! Everyone was happy :)

I pass this deli everyday on my way to work and a few months ago finally gave it a try. I decided to stop in because they have a private parking lot in the back which is rare for busy forest avenue. What i found was friendly staff and fresh, delicious food. Not your typical staten island deli. Totally worth a try!

Great place! Healthy, delicious, and friendly atmosphere! Love the menu! Food made with lots of love. Just found out I’ve got celiac disease, so I’m taking my family’s word for how delicious most of this stuff is. But the best part is that I can get tasty gluten free items here, too! Leo’s such a nice guy, too. You can tell he’s got kids by how great he is with my daughters. You can also tell how much he loves his work. He takes much pride in his food and in his relationship with his customers. There’s no faking that! Great service, great food, and you feel truly treated like family! Can’t say enough great things about this place!

I am a native Staten Islander and I love it here at Leo’s I purchased the Granola wrap with honey, peanut butter and banana and I purchased the Julia which was fresh home made mozzarella with basil, tomatoes and EVOO and I purchased the Luis which is chicken cutlet on grilled panini wth goat cheese and wow unbelievable. I will be a regular from now on. I intend to try every sandwich in the shoppe. I was very impressed with the cleanliness too. WOW

I usually don’t eat in Staten Island since I work in the city. When I’m home I go food shopping and we cook at home. The other day I stoped by at Leo’s and I was happy to find a place like the ones in Manhattan. Their menu it’s very different from the places here in Staten Island. They have poached eggs on the menu and have multigrain bread’s and wraps, a good menu overall. We had the Focaccia with bacon egg and cheese and avocado and it was really really good!!! They put on the bread this chipotle mayo that they make and it’s so flavorful and not that spicy I can’t stop raving about it. Will definitely be back and recommend to our friends. My wife is vegetarian
and they have plenty of choices with grilled vegetables.

After reading other reviews, I couldn’t believe a deli could get such acclaim. I was wrong. The various wraps and sandwiches are very creative. Breakfast was wonderful. Eggs were cooked to order. All ingredients were fresh and delicious. Coffee was freshly brewed and delicious. Will be back soon to try another great sandwich!

My brother just moved down the street and is remodeling his kitchen. We ate breakfast or lunch 3 days straight while I visited and bummed he was closed Sunday. Quality fresh yummy reasonable. Leo makes your day with his warm humorous hospitality and obviously loves what he does. Linger over your gourmet tea inside and banter with the regulars. See ya next trip. If you were in Solana Beach or Del Mar I would be at Leo’s several days a week!

I’m not a resident of New York, but I have been here for two weeks to try the all famous NY pizza and diverse cuisines all over NYC. However I came across Leo’s sandwich shop for lunch one day last week, and I have been going there everyday since then and probably until the rest of my stay. It honestly beats everything else I have tried out here, and who knew I’d find such a delicious sandwich gem on Staten island! and Ive been packing the pounds in my belly all over NYC on this trip too. Very nice and respectable service behind the counter as well. My favorite sandwich is the Gabriele. And any of the sandwiches with goat cheese and or Basel pesto is a home run!
