I ordered from Red Apple tonight on Seamless. It was delivered exactly within the estimated time and the delivery man was very friendly! The food is a bit pricy but it was very fresh and delicious!

Food is always delicious. AYCE sushi is all made to order, it’s not left out buffet-style. You also get to choose from an array of soups, salads, and appetizers that are included with the buffet price. Always fresh, always delicious.

I like this place. Its a bit expensive if you are getting delivery but if you come in for the buffet, it’s great! Delicious, fast service, and nice people. Definitely going back there!

A solid 3.5! We stopped in for AYCE on a Wednesday afternoon. I was quite hesitant due to the green B grade posted on the door but this place came highly recommended so I held my head high and entered a mini sushi heaven. The restaurant was not packed which I didn’t find surprising but it wasn’t completely empty either. I really enjoyed my rolls. I had shrimp tempura, dragon, and a fried fish roll. I also had the crab Rangoon. My boyfriend wasn’t a fan of the Rangoon but I enjoyed them. We both washed down our rolls with some sake. The service was friendly and attentive. Even though this place had a B as of 12÷30÷15, I’m still alive and definitely would return. If you’re in the area and enjoy AYCE Red Apple is definitely worth a try!

My brother and his girlfriend enjoyed the food. I was not a fan of the chow fun but I did order it by accident because I meant to order the mei fun. Regardless it wasn’t good because I love noodles. The spare ribs were great. Chicken and Broccoli was great. My boyfriend liked his pepper steak. Delivery was fast and I would order from here again and recommend it to people living in the area that are in the mood for some Chinese food. Chicken on a stick was also good.

I came here a couple of times and what can I say? Amazing food. It’s not expensive either if you want to have lunch there with friends, try the buffet choice, its worth it. I had a little bit of everything on this menu so far, I can’t even find anything bad about it. The atmosphere is nice, it’s quiet and clean too.

A pretty good all you can eat place. Portions were huge, and eventhough the place looks old and worn down, it is pretty good

My favorite sushi spot on Staten Island. A lot of people talk about fushimi but their food isn’t really good. I care less about the ambiance and more about the taste of the food. Prices are very good and it’s all you can. Spicy tunas all day baby !! Service is great and they are always very friendly on the phone

Parking is difficult because this restaurant is on Hlylan, but it’s a lil gem on the boulevard. I came here Saturday afternoon to pick up sushi for lunch. It’s not a fancy place in the least, but for $ 10 you can get 3 rolls of quality sushi. The spicy tuna roll is better than Fushimi. My brother and father rave about the $ 17 all you can eat(anything on the menu… not only sushi) Whatever you don’t finish you must pay for, which I think is great because I detest waste… I won’t be going to Fushimi anymore. This is my new spot… only drawback for me is parking!

I was struggling between 1 star and 2 stars, and I settled with 2 stars. Pro: Decent selection of buffet. You could choose between Chinese and Japanese. Also, the price was cheap($ 19 for dinner). Con: The food was really horrible. Note: I am comparing the food with other AYCE places. The sushi was tasteless, and I could not tell the difference among different rolls because everything tasted the same. Service was extremely very slow. There were times I thought I was being abandoned. Bottom line: I won’t be back.

For someone like me that’s not really a sushi aficionado and tends to stick to the California rolls or shrimp tempura rolls this place is just fine and offers a good value for the amount of food you could potentially order when doing the all-you-can-eat. However, for someone like my mom who is used to high quality sushi with nice thick cuts of fresh fish on top this place will be a disappointment as was the case when her and I dined here together. Her face turned to dismay when under her seaweed salad she found iceberg lettuce leaves to make the dish more full. She asked the waiter to please bring her a new seaweed salad sans lettuce but instead he told her that that was just the way they did their seaweed salad in order to «absorb some of the water.» I don’t know about you but last time I checked lettuce produces more water but whatever. Will be back for budget sushi eating with my less refined friends but I wouldn’t suggest bringing anyone here that’s about that sushi life lol.

Tried a bunch of Chinese/Sushi places but always come back here. I order delivery and they are pretty quick. My favorites are the sushi, shrimp teriyaki and the pork fried rice.

Deliciously made sushi for their dinner sushi buffet for $ 19 per person. The mango kani salad is very interesting and I actually liked it! The sushi is freshly made and not overstuffed with rice. Although this is not my frequent sushi buffet place(Sake at Bath Beach), I actually enjoyed Red Apple much more. However, Red Apple has less variety in their buffet and does not include sashimi.

Food is good. Both Chinese and Japanese cuisine. Interior décor– needs work but it’s clean!!! Will order from them again but won’t go sit down there.

My last visit to this place as on Sunday July 21, 2013. This review is based on my last visit and my previous visits from the past although I’ve written one in 2007. I thought 6 years later, I may give this place another shot. But sure it does not fall far from disappointment. Background: Years ago my friends and I used to go there every week, it used to cost $ 13.99, then $ 15.99, then it went up again like everything else, I can understand inflation takes a big role in this uprising economy. We stopped going because: They were simply rude to us(my friends and I), we didn’t like how we were treated as well as the quality of food had gone down ever since the price started driving up. We would rather take our business elsewhere. My visit this very last time: $ 17.99 for all-you-can-eat sushi buffet, not bad right? You would think that! However, if you want any ‘better’ rolls, you have to pay $ 1 extra! Per roll that is! I couldn’t believe when I saw that, not that I’m going to order 10 rolls off of that ‘special’ menu and pay $ 10 extra on top of what I’m paying for buffet, the point is that why do you call yourself a buffet if you are going to charge extra for the things you offer in buffet??? In another word, you’ll be basically paying $ 18 for the very basic basic BASIC rolls, such as salmon roll, tuna roll(with too much rice, STILL) etc. How many of those can you eat to make it worth $ 18?! Think about it! In addition, they also charge $ 0.50 for spicy mayo per little dish, any other places I’ve been to have never charge for spicy mayo, EVER. What does $ 0.50 do for the restaurant? Maybe they’ll get more business if this restaurant isn’t so cheap about what they are offering to the customers. Taste of the food: They put WAY too much sesame oil in their rolls, and in their spicy mayo. Sesame oil makes food taste extreme oily, the smell is strong as well, it triggers the body into thinking there’re lots flavors and lots food eaten, hence it makes your body feel full quicker. My discussion with friends: I was talking to friends about my experience at Red Apple. I was actually not too surprised about their reaction. They all agree that the quality of food is not really worth the money. As well as the choices are limited and management is DEFINITELY not the best in town. My closing statement: I’m not saying do not go there, but what I am saying is that I personally will not go there again for the simple fact that this place is just not the better option for under $ 20 sushi buffet. And my last visit will most likely be my last visit to Red Apple. If anyone ask me for recommendation, Sorry Red Apple, you had your chance and you blew it.
