Samantha is the best stylist I’ve ever had. That’s why even after I moved to Jersey, I still cross the bridge to have her do my hair!

What a terrible salon. Did you ever get the feeling when you walk into a place that this isn’t going to be a good experience? Well I got that. First off I should say I should have listened to the bad reviews on here. The reason I went was because my salon couldn’t squeeze me in because it was so last minute for a blow out. Also like the other reviewer said, for a weekend it’s empty and I now know why. First I get there and it’s such a pretty salon. The girl washed my hair and had to explain to the guy who was going to blow my hair HOW TO PLACE THE TOWEL ON MY BACK so that my hair wouldn’t drip on my shirt. Um what? Okay I guess you’re brand new here.
I told him I wanted big curls. To me that’s when they blow the hair and leave the brushes in for that full effect as well as the bottom curled. ** I have a lot of hair, I get that but don’t take on a project you can’t handle… Just saying. Anyway, he decided to blow my hair straight (now my hair on top is flat as ever, forget the big wave effect). A customer walks in and the dumb hair washer girl confuses the appointments and tells my guy Mario she’s for him. Now I see him rushing. My hair and I’m like great do more of a sh*t job. The way he was sectioning off my hair and forgetting pieces it was terrible. The top of my hair was still wavy because he was rushing. And then the ditz (after the customer told her her appointment was not with him) comes to tell my guy and he slows down. Then he decides he’s going curl my bottoms with a hot tools curler. The worst equipment they could have. I left with my hair straight in some pieces and curly in others. Terrible. And the owner seen my pissed off face and by telling me I have beautiful Kim kardashian hair isn’t going to make me feel any better. My hair looked disgusting.
Like I said as a hair dresser be prepared for all different types of hair to come in. My blow out was $ 20 which is so cheap for the thickness and length of my hair, but now I know why. I would have rather paid $ 50 and it be done right.
P. s. The owner is trying to be a fame seeker and decides to announce her new show, which isn’t her show is on every Sunday and make sure to see her and she looked fat on it so she starved herself for two weeks And then talks about big ang and was comparing the successes of the shows. It was so unattractive and unprofessional.
I will never ever come back here, even if a blow out was $ 5. Unprofessional and inexperienced.

I would never return to this place. They try to act all foo foo, but the place is the anything but that. It was dead too when I went in, I wonder why. My color came out uneven and spotty, so forget about letting anyone at this place cut my hair lol. The owner is too busy being highly prentious to do hair right.
One of the other stylists there is from super cuts. It’s probably the same one another Unilocaler on here mentioned. She kept repeatedly spraying me with ice cold water, did they not pay their heating bill lol, while shampooing me, and then let me walk away with color splattered all over my forhead. Never again. No wonder they have a zillion specials going on. Probably people go once and never return.

I went here after seeing the other good reviews. I waited only a few minutes after filling out a newcomer form. To the back and my hair was washed. When it came time for my haircut I had to wait because all the chairs were taken. 10 minutes later the woman who was suppose to cut my hair took a phone call. 20 minutes later I finally get in the chair and her phone rings again. She takes the call. Another hairdresser asks me if she can use the chair for her client. Um, okay. Another 10 minutes I’m sitting in another chair adjacent to the other clients. She begins to cut my hair. The client who asked me to move is done, and we move to the original chair I was in. My haircut was okay for 20 bucks, but I got a newbie hairdresser who I’m not even sure was licscenced.

I have been a longtime fan of Samantha AND her Salon. Besides being a strong, wise business woman, she is a sweet friend and EXCELLENT at what she does. Her staff are excellent stylists as well. So when Samantha Lawrence changed locations I was determined to follow her. I could not imagine her exceeding the service my daughter and I received at her old location, but she did by far.
