Awesome Food and Awesome Friendly Staff! Love their Salsa Verde unconditionally and As always everything is fresh made to order! Cheese Quesadillas are delicious. I live closer to the victory blvd Mexican restaurants but prefer driving here to dine over those places!

Although this place is a bit overpriced for their food I come here for their nachos, they are really good. A bummer is that they are cash only.

Authentic as it can get! But if you are a vegan/vegetarian you wont have many options. I have the mushroom quesdilla and it wasnt filling at all. A few mushrooms, lettuce and cheese. My co-workers said their meat plates were good. If you are in the neighborhood, try it out!

Nice burrito. Rice and beans are so good. Tacos are ok. I have had the beef tongue and tripe. The meats are a little too overcooked and salty.

The bistec was so BLANDBLANDBLAND. Did I mention how bland the food was. Even my husband’s chilaquilles was bland. It’s so hard to mess up simple Mexican dishes… but these guys did. Not only is it bland, but it’s expensive. My husbands dish was nickel and dined for the smallest things. He asked for eggs instead of meat and was charged more than a meat dish… that’s not suppose to happen. Go elsewhere for Meixcan food. I just can’t get over how bland the food is.

The tiled floor is slippery as hell but the food is good. Great food, great service and there’s ample street parking. Highly recommended.

My favorite Mexican spot in the Island! It’s not fancy. Just authentic Mexican food at more than reasonable prices. Serving sizes are large and you get a lot for your money. I love the bistek and langoniza. Anytime I want to deliver Mexican this is my go to spot.

I go here for tacos, sopes and the pollo ala Mexicano. Very good, homemade Mexican food. The salsa and guac is made fresh in the spot. Go there, grab a beer, order pollo super nachos. If you’re still hungry order some tacos and you will not be disappointed!

Okay so I came here with my parents and my sister for dinner and we heard this place praised so much for its«delicious» food. So I ordered a torta Cubana. My parents ordered tacos and some other things along with my sister. I’ll review my food first then my families. So I got my torta Cubana and I’m Mexican I know my food like the back of my hand. This torta was missing flavor and seasoning and so much of it. I expected so much and got so little. It was not worth $ 9. The meat had no flavor and I couldn’t even tell what kind it was honestly. The bread was actually hard and not soft. The Jalepeños were cold and I tasted more hot dog meat then the ham or the unknown meat. There was only like one spread of beans. The tomato was also cold and like I said before there was a lack of seasoning missing. I also felt like I tasted more bread then the veggies or the meats. So now the review from my parents. There was a lack of seasoning on the tacos meat. There was not enough meat on the tacos and the portion was really small. Not worth $ 2-$ 3 for the tacos. Handmade tortillas can’t complain since there handmade. My sisters food was alright considering it that they were quesadillas. In overall review the food wasn’t good for me or my parents. The food was missing so many things. You won’t get what you pay for here. It’s A Bit overpriced. Not the best food out there. People are over praising this store when in actuality it’s not that great. I say please check out some other places then this store. Also they take about 30 minutes to get your food out which was also upsetting because there was also other people still waiting to receive there food and it’s not worth the wait nor the price.

Great authentic Mexican food! Serving sizes are pretty good for the cost and the fresh juice waters«Aguas frescas» were delicious.

Staten Island’s burgeoning Mexican community gives birth to our best Mexican restaurant yet. San Miguel’s family ownership and staff assures you of the freshest, most flavorful food north of the border. The ingredients are of the finest quality, the flavors are authentic(i.e., not dumbed down for the American palate) and the service friendly. These folks cook homestyle food for their Mexican patrons and the rest of us reap the benefits. Guacamole is prepared to order in a stone mortor; it’s chunky with tomato pieces, red onion and cilantro and it’s served with the freshest, most crispy house-made tortilla chips. Everything here is good, but standouts include the tacos con lengua(tongue), the gorditas and most especially the pollo con mole poblano, redolent with a complex mixture of various roasted peppers and aromatic Mexican chocolate. Killer! San Miguel is worth a trip from anywhere. It’s that good.
