Staten Island Care Center

Dad needed Rehab. I didn’t think twice and I’m so glad. The receptionist was friendly and she told me about the weekday Van service. The Nurse on the 5^th floor was excellent and remembered my dad. How good can it get. Sad. they are a little understaffed. It’ the way these days. Every place is understaffed. I felt the caring of the workers. :)

I visited a friend who is at this facility. First off, upon my arrival I could sense the security they have in place. Before allowing me in, they snapped my picture and wouldn’t give me the exact room number of my friend. I like that.
Next, after being escorted to his room by a staff member, they announced me to my friend which insured he knew me and allowed my visit. I like that too.
Finally, everything looked very clean. Patients all looked clean and fed. Plenty of staff all around responding to being called.
One last thing, an attendant thanked me for visiting, on behalf of my friend. A nice touch.
Not being able to base my review on anything other than the info above (I don’t know about food quality etc) I can’t rate more than 4 stars.

I currently work here and all i can ever say is I work with the most warm-​hearted people. They all work so hard and at the same time they never fail to bring out their most pleasing personalities when rendering care.

If I could add 0 stars I would as an ex employee this is the worst nursing home to work always short of staff nurses are rude mean and they always have attitudes unprofessional theses nurses act so ghetto I wonder we’re they find these ppl from they most hire any one if your thinking of working here plz think again if your thinking to put your family members here think again don’t treat patients right food is horrible. No respect at all floors are nasty smells really bad this was the worst experience for me working here never again I rather work in Burger King plz avoid this place nothing important here just rude employees
