The Bagel Bin

Very small place, you have to make your own cup of coffee, you order then wait by the register for an older woman to ring you up, bagels were just okay… too soft, nothing special.

Stopped in here on a Saturday afternoon, it was actually memorial day weekend. The entire staff was very friendly and everyone seemed to have a great sense of humor. The bagels are very good and I’m a native Staten Islander who also lived on the West Coast for quite a few years before coming back recently.
Plus this bagel shop is in the same little shopping plaza as a Starbucks. So you really can’t get better than that!

I’ve been coming here for years and I’ve had enough of the rude lady who works there in the evenings. It’s always something with her and I’ve seen other customers having to deal with her antics. They’ve also struggled for years with the simple task of toasting the bagels and getting orders right. Will not return.

Okay bagels, clean well lit place, parking, fresh food, good coffee. Nothing spectacular but it’s a reliable local place.

The bagels here are the best I’ve had in this general area. Most bagel places on this side of Staten Island have been a real disappointment, comparable to bagels from Stop n Shop or sometimes even worse. They’re open 24hrs and make the bagels here fresh at 5am.
Purchased 2 bagels, cinnamon raisin and a salted, great price only $ 1.90. Bagels were nice and fresh, perfect amount of doughy chewiness. Real tasty New York bagels. My rating is based of their bagels only, as its a bagel shop. If you’re looking for a good bagel in the area, I would recommend this place as the best one.
Now the employees here are something else, real wackadoos as previously stated in the other reviews. My objective when going here is to buy bagels and leave, I wouldn’t take them seriously or personally. Im not there for small talk, or to order a hero or wrap. Again its a bagel shop.

Extremely rude staff. I ordered a bagel and stood there for 10 minutes watching everyone who came in after me receive their orders and leave. When I asked about my bagel the cashier gave me an attitude and was not cooperative or helpful. Will not be returning.

Been here twice and not returning anymore.
The first time I ordered a eggplant parm on a wrap. It was COLD! The guy even asked if I wanted to have it heat up and I said yes. Which ruined my lunch.
Decided to give this place another chance today and ordered a ham w pepper jack tomato lettuce and mayo on a hero. Again I was disappointed. The hero was stale! Felt like it was scratching my throat as I swallowed… The cheese didn’t taste fresh. Nothing tasted fresh.
Won’t be returning.

They have great bagels and deli selection plus a whole bunch of other convenience foods and drinks. What I really love is that the people that work there are so warm and welcoming! You can tell they have been there for a long time and it is like its own little family. I always feel welcomed and enjoy my interactions with everyone. The eggplant mozzarella bagel is my favorite! I also heartily recommend their rice balls!
Yes it is cash only, but they have the ATM right there. You can also get something at the CVS across the street and avoid the ATM charges. For me, its worth it!

I’ve had bagel sandwiches from The Bagel Bin a few times. Today it was one egg, bacon, and cheese on an everything bagel. The cost I believe was $ 2.75, which I thought was a good price. The sandwich was good but nothing too special. They’re convenient (and in the same shopping mall as a Starbucks) so I’ll be back.

They make the best hero sandwiches here. Not stingy at all and puts Subway to shame. If you are getting any type of hero on Forest Ave in W Brighton you should go here.

They have everything, I highly insist you have a whole wheat bagel with chicken salad. So good! Fresh chicken and not a lot of mayo. I used to have it daily when I worked around here…
